A slice of paradise!
We very much enjoyed Makena Surf and unit G203 for 5 days in late September 2017. We were 3 adults and the home was very comfortable for us. It is very quiet and peaceful here and the ocean views are breathtaking! Sitting on the large lanai for sunsets was the best. The home is clean and well equipped with everything we could imagine. I will definitely be returning.! Mahalo,
THANK YOU- LOOK FORWARD TO YOUR RETURN.
WOW! That was the first word out of my mouth when we walked into the condo. My family had a wonderful time. Beautiful beaches only steps away. Looked forward to every morning so we could view the ocean. Magical!
Our family our four had a fantastic stay! The home was very well appointed and equipped. The views were incredible, multiple beaches in walking distance. Beautiful shopping just down the road. Too much to write! loved the pools, hot tubs and herb garden on site. Totally would come back!! Thanks to all the owners, agents and staff who make this a beautiful place to visit.
The Aloha (With Love) Review
We stayed at the Makena Surf June 27- July 20. We enjoyed every moment.. We enjoyed watching wedding pictures being taken at the little beach just below the Condo. The beautiful Lanai was so big that we sat out for breakfast everyday; actually we ate most of our meals there. At night we laid out on the lounges and talked and watched the stars, it was incredible. Two of the best beaches in Maui were right outside the door. Everyday was paradise. The accommodations were really lovely. The grounds were incredible, the smell of the flowers as you walked through the walkways was breathtaking. The beaches at Makena Surf are incredible!! We swam and boogie boarded everyday. Our day always started with a snorkel at 7 am, the turtles would swim with us. They were just beautiful. Drove to Hana in Reverse, which was spectacular. Bring the cooler that is provided in the condo and make a big lunch and take lots of water. Don't forget the towels. We stopped at many attractions but the one that was voted the best by our family was Venus pond where jumped off cliffs into the water. It was just beautiful. Haleakala is a must see, go for the sunrise if you want to get up at 3 am or go for sunset which is what we did. Fleetwood's on Front Street in Lahaina.was another fun night and great memory. Mick Fleetwood just got off a long tour and was there with his mother Bitty. They started the night at 6 with the "Kahuna" who told us a little history of Hawaii and finished with a Hawaiian blessing and then blowing of the conch. Following that was the bagpiper. Mick then got up and gave a speech. The band started to play while we enjoyed a beautiful dinner and Mick got up and played the drums. We purchased Tee Shirts which Mick signed. It was wonderful. A sunset horseback ride at Makena Stables ( Which I highly recommend) was another highlight. My husband took our daughter on the Segway tour in Lahaina. They had a blast and learned a lot about the history of Lahaina We hiked near Mendes ranch and swam in the creeks and went under the waterfalls. If you like golf it is also right outside your door at the Wailea golf course, my husband took our girls to the range and it was very reasonable, Lunch was excellent. We want to thank the owner Mitch for sharing his paradise with us. We will never forget Makena Surf. We have over 3000 pictures, Thank goodness for Memory cards. Put Makena Surf on your Bucket List
A perfect place for a romantic getaway
My wife and I stayed in a different unit at Makena Surf a few years ago and we agree that this is the unit we would like to stay in again. While the other unit appeared to have been more recently remodeled and had a slightly better location, it cost almost TWICE as much per night! This unit is clean, well-maintained, and has spectacular views. It is exactly as shown in the photos. The kitchen had everything we needed to prepare our own meals and the gas grill on the lanai was a nice surprise. The free WiFi was also very much appreciated as well. Also, since we rarely saw or heard other guests, it was like we had the whole place to ourselves. Overall, it's a perfect place for a romantic getaway at a great price.
We spent 2 glorious weeks at the beautiful Makena Surf the owners are so accommodating we had a few issues getting our deposit to them but they were so kind and patient with us in regards to this whole matter, that I can't say enough thanks to Mitch. The condo it's self is exactly what you see in the photo's except for the view from the lania you just have to be there to experience it's true beauty the sound of the ocean and the songs of the birds while you sit and soak up the sunshine, it's absolutely PARADISE.The only down fall for me was the beds were not the most comfy memory foam would help. The grounds at Makena Surf are like a tropical garden oasis we were there the first two weeks of May and every luscious plant was about to burst into bloom or was in bloom and the smells from the jasmine were intoxicating to say the least. Especially around the hottub area this was lovely in the evening after a fun filled day at Chang beach in which you look on to from your lania. We had the pleasure of watching many couples tie-the-knott right on the beach.Chang beach is a public beach but I believe it is one of the best kept secrets on Maui we basically had the beach to ourselves during the day.We swam with the turtles daily right out front of the condo. Many boats bring people to this area for the snorkeling your right there no need to pay to play .There are so many things to do on Maui but if you have been before and just want to relax, eat drink and soak up the sun this is a great place for you.On the days where you would like to do some thing else you can head down to Big beach grab yourselves some fish taco's or yummy burritos from the vendors on the road side or right at big beach or venture a little farther down the road to the reserve where you will find the best snorkeling on Maui, Le Perouse is a bit further along the road and when you go make sure to wear good shoes so you can go for a amazing walk through the lava fields. If you want to shop it's so close to the shops of Wailia and the four seasons is a nice place to stop for a beverage in the evening, it's nicely lite up at night time. Make sure to go sailing out of Lahina the America 2 is the boat I would recommend it was a blast, although it may not be best to take little ones on this. Book the 2pm and get back at 4pm then you can head up to the Hula Grill restaurant for dinner and the sunset. Now if you enjoy Italian go to Matto's up the hill from the shops of Wailia great food good prices
