Great winter getaway

The property was all it was described to be. The house is very well kept and well decorated. We had everything we needed for our stay. Coffee by the pool every morning was a great way to start the day. Pool was great too. We would definitely stay here again!

Cape Coral home

My husband and I enjoyed our stay! The pool was heated and there was plenty of outdoor seating. We especially enjoyed the Adirondack chairs on the dock in the evenings. The proximity to grocery stores, shopping, restaurants and beaches is great. Our only issue was that the dishwasher did not work during our stay. Otherwise, we thoroughly enjoyed our time!

Another Great Visit

This was our second year staying at the house. If you are a boater and want to get into the open water quickly, you can’t beat this location! It took us 15 minutes from the dock to the end of the slow zone into the main channel, 25 minutes to Tarpon Point Marina, etc. We had an issue with the pool and algae, but Don was on it immediately when I called him! Highly recommend this house and the manager, Don!!

We had a wonderful week in Cape Coral - and this house was perfection. So so so clean, so many amenities, a perfect location with easy access to restaurants, groceries, Fort Myers and Sanibel. The pool was amazing (and heated to the perfect temp!), fishing in the canal was great, and the house was so comfortable for my family of four, including two young kiddos. Thank you for sharing your wonderful home with us - we will likely be back for another vacation soon!

Relaxing Cape Coral Getaway

This place is exactly as listed and a great property. The neighborhood is quiet but still close enough to restaurants and groceries. We really enjoyed the large pool and sunshine out back. The dock area and landscaping is impressive. We'd definitely consider staying here again.

Excellent rental property

This house was beautiful and clean. We had a wonderful week! The owners left soap dispensers at every sink, 2 rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom, laundry detergent tabs, dishwasher tabs, paper towels, beach towels, etc. Don, the property manager reached out and told us to call him ANY time, and that he always answers his phone. Highly recommend this property!!!

Amazing Location!!

We loved our stay at the house. Everything was exactly as described and more! I was pleasantly surprised to have the extras that were available-spices, condiments, dishwasher tabs, and laundry soap to name a few. The location can’t be beat- took all of 5 minutes to get to open water. Would definitely recommend to others!

Fabulous!!

We Highly Recommend!!! We stayed at this house during the first week of April and LOVED it!! The pictures don’t do the house justice. The interior of the house was beautifully, yet simply, decorated. There was not an abundance of knick knacks, which we were very happy about. The owners and manager keep the house well stocked with just about any kitchen appliance and tools you will need to feel like you are at home cooking, plenty of pool towels, and a sufficient supply of laundry and dishwasher detergent. The furniture is extremely comfortable, whether you are sitting on the couch watching the smart tv, sitting at the kitchen island for breakfast, having dinner at the large table overlooking the backyard, or sleeping in the king sized bed (we only used one of the rooms). As for the exterior of the home, it is paradise!! We rented a boat for the week, so we were on the dock quite a bit. The grill was perfect for cooking some steaks. After our days on the boat and at the beach, we often came back and cooled off in the beautiful pool!! And, the furniture around the pool is extremely comfortable, as well. LOVED the southern exposure!! There was one occasion when we had to call Don and he was very responsive to our request. We loved it so much that we booked it again for 2024 Easter week before we even finished this year’s stay!!! There was only one downside to speak of and that was the bikes that are listed under “amenities.” Since the renters do not have access to the garage, the bikes are stored outside, exposed to the elements 24/7. While the flat tires could probably have been inflated, the chains and gears were so rusted and the brake line on one of the bikes was split so we did not dare ride these bikes. They should probably be taken off of the amenities list. We ended up renting bikes from Cape Coral Cycling. The people there were incredibly helpful and we thought that the price was pretty reasonable for safe bikes. We highly recommend this bike shop, if you are looking for bikes to ride.

Great House

The house was beautiful. The neighborhood is still recovering from hurricane damage, so there was a lot of work going on at other homes. We spent most days in the backyard enjoying the pool and we really couldn’t hear the work going on. We had a great vacation and would recommend this home to friends!

Best VRBO - A complete dream!

Everything was perfect, from booking to check out! This home has the ‘wow factor’ when walking in. We had everything we needed. We felt at home immediately. Very quiet neighborhood. Fun in the Sun

The house was immaculate both inside and out. The pool area and backyard overlooking the canal was well landscaped and faced south providing maximum sun. The inside has been completely redone and is comfortable and well laid out. I would stay again.

Paradise

A friend and I stayed at the property for 3 weeks. It was even better than the pictures, if that's possible. Clean and beautiful property, and it contained just about everything you could need (cookware, utensils, plates, glasses, towels, etc.). Great location in a quiet neighborhood, right on a canal. Great, large outdoor space. Walking distance to Rotary Park among other areas. Shopping a short drive away. Pool was fantastic - perfect temperature! Don was great -- he answered questions within minutes of me texting. We had wifi go down after a thunderstorm and it was fixed promptly. We noticed a door latch was broken and it was fixed by the owner within hours. The owner was a wonderful person, too - even gave us a couple of bottles when he was there. We can't say enough good things about the property and the property management and owners. Highly recommend -- and we hope to come back again to stay here!

Christmas in Cape Coral

We had an excellent time in Cape Coral. The house was set up well for guests. The kitchen had everything you would need and has a huge island that is conducive to gathering with your family for meals. The outside area near the canal is a really nice space and is perfect for grilling and spending time outdoors. Rotary Park is right down the street and is a great destination for walks. The Kayaks allow you to see the surrounding area by water and give you very quick and easy access to the river. We would definitely stay here again.

Spring family stay

Had a wonderful stay at Pelican home. Great accommodations for family of 4. All enjoyed the pool, dock and canal for fishing, even saw a manatee! Great proximity to use kayaks on canal and access to Caloosahatchee. Home was well maintained and clean, equipped well for a family stay. Great place, spacious indoor and out. Updated amenities and extras, ideal location.

Great outdoor patio with everything you need from chairs, dining table, loungers, grill and kayaks. The pool was an ideal size .just feet from the kitchen. The open kitchen / family room is spacious. You never feel crowded. Great place. We had two small issues. The one outdoor plastic chair needs dispose of because it pinches your bathing suit when sitting in it. The open sliding glass door handle pulled off. when my daughter-in-law tried to open it. But with 6 doors it wasn't an issue. The entire property is well maintained. We would book it again!

Great Vacation Rental

This home was outstanding! We loved the house, the pool and all the other amenities. We used the kayaks several times, biked every other day and relaxed either on the lanai, or outside on the patio by the canal. Don was available any time to answer questions and we appreciated his friendly manner.

Wonderful stay

We were very pleased with our stay at this property. The house was very clean and well equipped. There was really nothing missing. We took good advantage of the pool and the kayaks that were provided. The location really can’t be beat if you plan to rent a boat (which we did). There is very easy access and you can dock your boat directly at the house. You are out on the ocean in just a few minutes. We will definitely be back! The only minor issue was that I personally didn’t like the mattress in the master bedroom but that is just a personal preference.

Beautiful Location

This is a beautiful home located on a nice quiet dead end canal with no boat traffic. The check in process was very convenient, the property manager supplied us with the code to the house before check-in day. The house is a very nice size and slept six people. However, I do have to mention that one of the bedrooms is a Murphy bed so not very comfortable for a full grown man over 200 pounds, and the room does not have any drawers in it only a closet to hang up things. The pool deck is wonderful with lots of seating and the pool itself is nice with a very deep end (over 6 foot deep). There were plenty pool floats and toys to play with. The house stated it came with beach chairs and beach umbrella, they were foldable chairs and the beach umbrella was broken. The two kayaks provided were a nice addition. Even with the owners boat docked there was plenty of room for us to dock our own boat with additional room for the children to use the kayaks in and out of the canal. The property does have an avocado tree that attracts flies when the dead fruit lay on the ground; however, after picking the dead fruit up the flies are not an issue anymore. Unfortunately, we were not able to use the fire pit due to the bugs (mosquitoes and gnats) at night were too bad after dusk to even sit outside in the screened porch. The house has all cleaning supplies, so no need to bring anything. The house does supply six bath towels, so if you are like me and wash your towels after each use you will find yourself washing both beach towels and house towels every day. We enjoyed our week there. The only reason the house did not get five stars was because I notified the property manager the day after we arrived that the TV in the master bedroom was not working. (Having a TV in each bedroom was a must for us that we communicated to the property manager before arrival, so I was very upset when we learned that one of them did not work ). I did not receive a text back so I texted him again the following day when at this time the property Manager advised me that the owner of the home is a pilot, that he had let him know of the issue, but not heard back from him, but would keep trying, but that is not a problem he can handle. I was confused, as he is listed as the property manager on all of the check in paperwork at the house. However, what was completely not acceptable was that I never received any communication from the owner nor property manager for the remainder of our stay.

From the dock, you will be on the expanse of the river in 3 minutes at idle speed. It's amazing to find such solitude right next to such magnificent neighborhoods! Manatees, dolphin, snook, tarpon, mangrove snappers and countless other species are not unusual passing right by your dock! Once up to speed, Sanibel Island beckons just 10 minutes away. There, you can enjoy beautiful beaches, the Sanibel light house and some of the best shelling in the world. Get there early and you'll find the shells that have become exposed from the previous night...some truly amazing finds. Bring some beach chairs and a cooler and you're set for a relaxing day at the beach! For nature lovers, Ding Darling National Wildlife Preserve is there for the exploring. On the "near side" of Sanibel, Ding Darling is an amazing display of waterfowl and biodiversity. Keep traveling north and you'll find more adventure awaiting on Captive Island...and beyond!!!
