Why Maria Wagner chose Whitefish
We bought Three Bears Cottage WITHOUT even being there once! We instantly connected to it's beauty through photos our realtor sent us!!! We put in an offer and went there to sign papers the following weekend! This is a true haven for us....the kids love it here...we feel completely relaxed here...and connected as a family. We are surrounded with beautiful views and wildlife. We are blessed that we can share it with others..
What makes this Cottage unique

When the cabin has only one bathroom, the cabin is not designed for 8 people. If there are 3 people need to use the restroom at the same time, I suppose they need to use either the backyard or front yard.
The bath tub has been clogged ever since and we had to buy the drain fluid to pour down the drain and never worked
There are only two bed-rooms and my 9 years old had to sleep on the stupid cushion and every time she turned she fell off to the floor. the mattress on bunker bed made noise all the time when one of us turned during sleeping.
I would not recommend any one to rent this cabin.
Great place for a family vacation. Secluded, but not isolated. Wonderful experience under the stars.
Beware the electric fence!
This cabin was really cute and even though it is right off of Hwy 93, it's pretty quite and secluded. However, within the first hour of checking in, my five year old son was playing in the back yard and ran face first into the electric fence resulting in a pretty nasty shock and a black and blue strip across his face that is still prominent two weeks later. Although there is a sign on the refrigerator about the fence, it's pretty easy to miss when you are concentrated on hauling in bags and unpacking your car upon arrival. If it was in the description, I would have known about the fence before I even arrived and could have warned my husband and son. Secondly, while the house itself is cute, the furnishings badly need updating. A few of the windows had blinds that were broken or wouldn't open and they were pretty dirty. Most of the linens looked to be pretty old and worn. And the queen bed upstairs is sunken in the middle. With a little refreshing, this place would be fantastic!
The property is a dream come true. You are close enough to town yet feel as though you are miles away. The trees, the cabin, there just isn't words to describe this place. Communication was great. I would stay again in a heartbeat. We had a wonderful and comfortable vacation. Thank you so much.
Close and quaint
We arrived with ease to the location. Directly off the road the cabin sits with plenty of room to roam. You enter into the residence and are met with a laundry area with laundry soap provided. A single bedroom sits to the left with a bunk bed that sleeps 3. The bed is metal frame and it’s squeaks when you move, so if you don’t sleep soundly pick the room up top. The pillows need to be replaced and more pillow cases need to be available to cover the “extra” pillows in the closet. Across from the downstairs bedroom is the only bathroom. It has a bathtub with a single sink. Plenty of towels and basic bathroom needs (hair dryer etc) are present. The next area is the kitchen. The kitchen has your basic needs but the pots and pans are mismatched with most not having a lid to accompany the pans. Plenty of serving bowls and random kitchen accessories. There are only 3, 8oz glasses to drink from, however there are 10+ coffee mugs and 28+ wine glasses.... although I love wine and drank it every night, it’s over kill. The coffee maker took over 45 minutes to brew a single pot and left calcium flakes in the grounds. We attempted to clean and decalcify the unit but to no avail... still won’t brew correctly. The unit needs to be replaced. Toaster and panini press are there along with a microwave. No upper cabinets but a large pantry is present with games and movies galore! No spices only salt and pepper but flour and sugar are there. No cooking oil, seran wrap, foil or Tupperware but Paper towels and trash bags are available. The TV is a “smart tv” but works intermittently so DVD we’re the option when watching TV. A table that seats 3-4 and 3 barstools sit up to a high top counter. A living room is adjoined to the kitchen which makes great for entertaining and family interaction. A simple black leather couch with two matching chairs were all we needed and comfortable. Upstairs loft boasted a large bed with a futon with large windows that over look the back yard. Outdoors is a great porch and fire pit for gathering. A small charcoal grill with charcoal was available but needs to be replaced. However in no part of the listing is it listed there is a active electric fence that surrounds the entire property. The front yard has a swing set and the kids loved it. Prior to arriving we did attempt to contact the owner and never received any response. Overall good experience and comfortable. NO CELL SERVICE FOR ATT OR VERIZON BUT WIFI AVAILABLE.
Nice area outside of Whitefish with Deer & horses in view. Cabin was well-stocked with supplies and extra blankets, games, etc.
