Perfect Views (mountains and city lights); Perfect Neighborhood; Perfect Rental

  • 5 of 5

This rental turned out to be a perfect matchup for our recent two month stay. We were looking for a place that was not only comfortable for our needs, but was in a location that would allow us to easily help out relatives and elderly friends. This home went beyond our expectations. The bed was awesome (Tempurpedic!), the views were outstanding (both mountain and city lights!), and we can't say enough about the neighborhood or the owner. The location fit our needs perfectly. We were welcomed into the neighborhood even though we were "short" term renters. Everyone was so friendly and eager to share their favorite things about the neighborhood or Tucson itself. We even took advantage of a SNAP (Sunrise Neighborhood Assistance Program) tour of one of the Tucson Senior Living Facilities. The residents are very fortunate to have such a fabulous program available to them. Being in the foothills even gave us a renewed appreciation for Tucson. The home was also perfect for our small Christmas get together, with many hostess and table décor settings available. Everyone loved it! The owner is so sweet and accommodating we couldn't have asked for more.

Spectacular sunsets and Tucson city lights

  • 5 of 5

After renting in several locations in Tucson over the years, we were happy to find this beautiful home on HomeAway. The owner was very accommodating and provided everything we could want. The most spectacular views can be seen from the pool deck, of the Catalina Mountains and the Tucson city lights. We enjoyed watching the hourly changes, and most of all, the beautiful sunsets. We used the heated community pool almost daily. We enjoyed the wildlife in the area: deer, coyotes, hummingbirds, hawks, rabbits, roadrunners and quail.

The location of the home is convenient for shopping (Whole Foods and Safeway) and for revisiting the many attractions Tucson has to offer: DeGrazia Gallery in the Sun, Sabino Canyon, Sajuaro National Park, Old Town Artisans, Tubac and the many museums and galleries downtown.

We look forward to returning in 2015!

A Perfect Winter Home Away from Home!

  • 5 of 5

Location, Views and Gracious Living describe this spacious and sun-filled home on a ridge top neighborhood. During the day you're treated to mountain views while night brings sparkling city lights and starlit skies. This spacious and comfortable home has beautiful furnishings, art and the best equipped kitchen in any rental we've had in 5 years. One quickly feels as if you are in a good friend's home yet enjoy quiet and privacy. The homeowner is friendly and responsive and uses prompt, courteous and competent people to care for her property in her absence. We were sad to leave and will be very happy to return.

Spectacular Home, Location and VIEWS

  • 5 of 5

This property is everything it is described to be and more. The first impressions of the house are grand and it gets better from there. The owner is helpful and responsive. We plan to come back!

The house is located on a ridge top providing exceptional views to the Tucson Mountains in the west and the Catalina mountains in the north. The community is one of the most sought after in the north Tucson area and provides easy access to downtown and the surrounding mountains. The quiet ridge top community is peaceful and uncrowded with tennis courts, heated pools and hot tubs that are maintained in pristine condition. We had the pools and hot tubs to ourselves most of the time when we used them. We used the pool at the house until the night time temperatures dipped enough to cool them off making the heated pools more attractive. We could have used the heater on the home pool but opted not to.

When you walk into the house you will immediately feel the openness of the floor plan and sense the cleanliness and comfortable furnishings. You will see past the entry to the living room and beyond to the backyard pool. Beyond the pool is the wide expanse of the Tucson valley with the Tucson Mountains in the background. When you turn to the north you will see the Catalina Mountains. The views are unobstructed and expansive.

The master bedroom and guest room are both equipped with very comfortable king size beds. The master bedroom has its own en suite five piece bath. The guest room has an adjacent four piece bath. The view from the master bedroom is to the west for unobstructed valley and mountain views with spectacular sunsets. The den/office contains a desk, WiFi, and flat panel TV with Direct TV service. The guest bedroom also has a TV. The kitchen is large and well equipped. It contains an eating area and another small flat screen TV. Outside there are plenty of seating areas around the pool and patios. The pool was maintained in excellent condition.

The area is excellent for restaurants, galleries, hiking, biking, touring, birding, and exploring the Sonoran Desert all within a short hop of the house. Tucson is a hiking and biking mecca and access to extensive off road bike trails are within two miles of the house. If it’s hot in Tucson it is less than an hour drive to Mt. Lemon at the 8,000 foot elevation and spectacular scenery. Museums including the Sonoran Desert Museum and the Pima Air and Space Museum are not far away.

Wonderful Tucson Winter Getaway

  • 5 of 5

We have rented this home on more then one occasion and have always ended our stay wishing that we had more time. In your search for a wonderful winter Tucson getaway, your going to see many ads stressing views, location and wildlife. I'll simply say that this home is the " real deal ". Jaw dropping views, great location, a very private backyard and a wonderful host. With a comparable luxury hotel room costing more and offering much less, it also happens to be a great value.

Beautiful home, gorgeous views

  • 5 of 5

This beautiful and spacious home was our home for March 2012. We could not have been more comfortable. Although there are many fine restaurants nearby, the kitchen was so well-equipped (which is not the case in most rentals), that we enjoyed cooking and dining at home many evenings so that we could enjoy the magnificent sunsets from the patio. The location cannot be beat - just a few minutes from Sabino Canyon, and close to shops. The owner could not have been more gracious and accommodating - she always made sure that our needs were met. We look forward to returning in 2013!
