relaxing and quiet location

We enjoyed our stay at this quiet location on the canal, especially the waterfront balcony. The house is extremely large for a 2-bedroom and was continuously updated, however a few things like kitchen & bath cabinets are still very old and used. We were a little disappointed with Cabana Club as the beach is very small and not clean. Guy, the manager, was great to work with!

Great place to stay

We have stayed at other Key Colony Beach properties before, but none as nice as this one. It was comfortable and clean with all new kitchen appliances. We love being on the canal, and even saw manatees during our stay, and beautiful sunsets, so much fun. The Cabana Club had limited space, but it's great that its included. In fact we loved it so much, we have already reserved our stay for March, 2017. The neighbors on both sides were pleasant and full of local information. Guy is great to work with. He's friendly and wants you to enjoy your stay.

Recent Stay

The place is bright, open and very spacious. It could defiantly use some updates, the tile counter grout is not in good shape, linens and garbage cans need replaced, and for the price, it would have been nice if there was a kayak or something for use with the place since it is on water. It was clean, but the cleaning people need to look up, the ceiling fans defiantly needed some attention. The private beach and pool "cabana club" that we had access to was walking distance and nice, however, there was a line at 9:15 waiting to get in at 10:00, so if you weren't willing to stand in line for 1/2 hour to 45 minutes, you were out of luck as far as getting a pool chair. No food is allowed in the club so you have to buy everything there even water. The beach usually had chairs but was a very small beach, that's the Keys I guess, not many beaches. The neighbor that lives in the other side was supper sweet. I can't say enough about our rental agent, Guy, he was wonderful. So helpful and accessible. I was a first timer using this sight and he was great to work with. We got caught in traffic on the way there and were 2 hours late, I'm sure he had better things to do on a Saturday night but he still met us there and gave some useful information. Super nice guy.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your Kind Remarks Michelle you guys were worth the wait :)) Thank you also for the pointers too, as I type this the owner has already purchased all brand new linens, 3 new trash can's, and all new towels as an extra bonus. My cleaners also got a free fan dusting lesson LOL! The Owner is great to work with and really tries hard to make sure his guests vacation is everything they expect and more. He is also continues to do improvement to the home and has already done a ton (new appliances etc.) just in the short time that I have started managing it for him. I will mention the Kayaks to him but with Kayak, bike, and Paddle Board Rentals being so reasonable it's hard to justify the expense when we don't get any requests for them. Ya the Cabana Club is a popular place for sure and I (as a manager) am thankful that I am able to offer that to my guests, as that is a HUGE expense to the owner, and not all owners that rent on KCB want to pay for it. I'm glad to hear that ya all made it home safe and If you do decide to come back an visit us again, I'll make sure that your hooked up with a Kayak one way or another! Nightmare to Paradise

Our trip didn't start out so great. We were in a car accident right outside of Orlando on the 1st day and we basically lost the whole 1st day of vacation. we called Guy to let him know we would not be arriving till late at night. He was wonderful, offered to come get us, made sure we were OK. When we finally did arrive, Guy was there, gave us the low down on the rental and all of his favorite places to go.

The location was wonderful, walking distance to everything in Key Colony. The 2nd bedroom could have used a queen size bed instead of a full. The bed linens need updated for both bedrooms (the didn't fit so great, elastic was stretched out on fitted sheets and would not stay on either bed) . There was only one beach towel for 4 people (we didn't think to pack those because we thought there would be enough available) The coffee pot quit working, we called Guy and we had a replacement by morning. It could use a few more updates but overall we really enjoyed ourselves. key colony is a hidden gem but we'll be back for our piece of Paradise

Sea, Sun, Sand!

Not only is Key Colony Beach a little bit of Paradise but this house provided everything you could need. The pictures don't do it justice. Was larger than the pictures made it look. Very roomy and we'll appointed and nice to have the covered porch with table and chairs. Master has an awesome walk-in closet and large bathroom. The guestroom comfortable and also a large guest bath. The location could not be better with the Cabana Club right down the street and you are in walking distance to great restaurants such as Havana Jacks, Sparks and Key Colony Inn. The area is great for walking and riding bikes. What was truly a pleasure was working with Guy. Right from the beginning he responded so quickly answering any of our questions and was there to welcome us upon arrival and show us around. We had a couple of technical issues (user issues) and he immediately took care of them. Thank you Guy. We will definitely be back.
