Great location. It was great to take a short walk to the A Beach or shops during the day and come back and relax by the pool and bbq--both were just a few steps away. There were fins and snorkel equipment in the unit to use which was a nice bonus. The place was cleaner and bigger then expected and overlooked the golf course. I was especially impressed with the kitchen, didn't expect granite counter tops on vacation! It really gave us a reason to go to the local farmer market a few times when we wanted to feel at home. Will definitely be back in the future as it was an excellent value!!

Great stay at a familiar complex

  • 4 of 5

We stay at the Fairway Villas every time we participate in the Lavaman triathlon b/c of it's accessibility to race activities. This time we stayed in unit J-22. Aside from a few little things, it was fabulous as always. The ice maker in the freezer kept freezing up, one of the towel rods was falling off, and this unit had carpet in the main room. I prefer the ones that have tile, b/c of all the sand. We did love the fact that the unit had a keypad lock rather than a key.

We'll definitely be back the next time we race!

Beautiful and spacious

  • 5 of 5

We stayed in this condo for two weeks and loved it! It's bright and modern, with a well-appointed kitchen, and a roomy lanai. Beautiful golf course views during the day, with a great sunset view in the evening.

The condo gym, pool and grill area is a 2-minute walk. 10-15 minute walk (past the petroglyphs!) to the King Shops and Queens Shops for dining and shopping. 2-minute drive to A-bay Beach.

Located in a resort area that also includes a Marriott, a (giant) Hilton, and a bunch of other condo communities within short driving distance.

Beach necessities in the closet, along with a pack-and-play for infants.

Very nice

  • 4 of 5

Ok, I am an owner that rents a condo in Michigan, we have strict requirements from our association. So everything was very nice and clean except for the carpet area close to the kitchen. Really in a need of a good scrub. Simple suggestions, better lighting and purchase clocks for 2nd bedroom and living area. Island time is one thing, but no time is another thing. Other than that, we had a great stay. Enjoyed watching golfers on the lanai in the morning shade. Small issue that could not be helped, very noisy group above us for numerous days. We called and asked issue to be addressed, but thought we were blown off.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review and input. We have sent your suggestions to the owner for approval to remedy. As for the noisy neighbors, we apologize for you feeling like we blew you off. As per our phone conversations with you, we contacted the on-site complex manager about the problem several times. We do not manage the unit above this one and our only recourse is the on-site manager. He placed notices at their door and let them know of the complaints about the noise. It is our goal that all of our guests have a relaxing Hawaiian experience. HDP Management

Great Property!

  • 5 of 5

Very clean and nicely decorated property in a great location. Close to shops, restaurants, and a market. Also very close to many beaches. Was very pleased to find that they had their own washer/dryer and was even more pleased to find the beach toys and supplies in one of the guest closets which came in real handy. Overall it was a great property and we all really enjoyed our stay there.

Comfortable, nicely situated, spacious and clean.

  • 5 of 5

It has been a year since we stayed, but wanted to put in a good word about how nicely situated this property was. The condo is very tastefully decorated and clean, we found it very comfortable and spacious. Great kitchen! Although not golfers it was nice to look out over the course and ponds. There was a shopping area about a five minute walk away- we did not do the shops but bought some food. Another plus was the easy walk of about 10 minutes to the beach. Nice not to have to drive everywhere, and by heading south along the beach found relatively secluded areas. Snorkeled by accident through some rather large turtles there. Grilling area was nearby, which I took advantage of. The only negative thing was the air coolers are (probably out of necessity as was common with all units) are situated on the back porch and quite noisy- that being the neighbors as we had the screen doors and windows to allow for the ocean air to come in and also dined out on the lanai. It was an easy short drive to other nearby excellent beaches. We would enjoy staying here again.

GREAT Hawaiian Getaway!!

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful location within walking distance to great shops, restaurants and a grocery store! The condo itself is well maintained, clean, nicely decorated and very comfortable with nice breezes! The pool and jacuzzi were a great place to relax and not too crowded. The BBQ's were great for preparing meals along with a well supplied kitchen. It was an easy walk to the A bay and an easy drive to beautiful beaches. There is snorkel and beach equipment to use which was a wonderful bonus. We would definitely recommend this property to anyone. If interested, downtown Kona is not too far, and the volcano is a beautiful 3 hour drive each way (not bad if you stay 1 night in Volcano).
