Beach Dream, Spectacular Beach House on Great Guana Cay, Abaco, Bahamas
One of the only 4-bedroom houses that is directly on the beach! To inquire about availability and more details, please send an email to email@example.com or text to 913, four eight eight, 7111.
Beach Dream is a luxurious beachfront house finished in January 2009 with all new tropical furnishings. It has 4 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms with a fully-furnished gourmet kitchen, stainless steel appliances and filtered water throughout the house. The house offers an open floor plan including an island with bar stools and a dining room table that seats 8, making Beach Dream perfect for family dinners and entertaining. There is a wall of windows in the great room and dining room overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and the gorgeous pink/white sand beach that stretches for miles. The beach house is elevated and offers panoramic views from the large front deck of the wrap around porch.
If you like the best, Beach Dream is for you...it's EXTRAORDINARY! Every detail has been beautifully executed, from the porcelain tile floors to 10' ceilings in the bedrooms and the vaulted cypress tongue and groove ceilings in the great room.
It's easy to get Guana Cay...Once you arrive at the Marsh Harbour airport and clear customs, grab a taxi (very easy, they're waiting out front) about 10 minutes to the Guana ferry dock. The ferry runs 5 times a day and it’s a short, 30 minute scenic ride to Guana Cay where you will be met by our caretakers. They will take you by golf cart to Beach Dream and get you settled in to your beachfront paradise!
About Great Guana Cay: Great Guana Cay is a barrier island in the Abaco chain of islands in the Bahamas. The third largest barrier reef sits just off shore, offering unlimited snorkeling and SCUBA diving opportunities. A gorgeous reef is right in front of the house that is perfect for snorkeling and is only a short swim away with an easy beach entry. The island has about 150 residents but there are quite a few second homeowners and visitors. Guana Cay is a beautiful tropical island with gorgeous beaches that are never crowded and the color of the water is unbelievable! It is secluded yet has all the necessities.
There are a few restaurants and bars, as well as a well-stocked grocery store and a liquor store. World-famous Nipper’s Beach Bar and Grill has very good food and they are family-friendly with a swimming pool. It’s always fun and people come from all of the neighboring islands to visit, especially on Sunday afternoon for the weekly pig roast. Grabber's Bar & Grill is fun, too and a great place to watch the beautiful Guana sunset. Beach Dream is within walking distance to all the fun.
Pack your snorkel and dive gear…a spectacular reef is right off the beach in front of the house. Dive Guana offers full service PADI scuba diving and snorkeling trips. Dive Guana also has any gear you need...the water is very clear and the diving is gorgeous. If you would like to rent a boat during your vacation, we highly recommend the boats at Dive Guana. It’s conveniently located on Guana Cay and they rent nice 20ft. to 26ft. boats for fishing, diving or exploring and are reasonably priced.
Bedroom Details: All of the bedrooms have been furnished with high thread-count sheets and bedding. The master bedroom has a king bed with French doors that open onto the front deck and gorgeous colors of the ocean. The master bath has double sinks with a shower tiled to the ceiling. The second master also has a king bed with its own entrance into the bathroom that can also be accessed from the hallway. It has a tub/shower that is also tiled to the ceiling. The half bath is located near the third and fourth bedrooms. The third bedroom has a queen bed and the fourth bedroom has 2 bunk beds and a twin bed. A cot can be used in the bunk room for a 4th person (works better for children). If needed, there is also a portable single-size, 4" thick memory foam, tri-fold mattress. There is also a pack-n-play if you need it for a young child.
Rain water is held in tanks below the house. The water is filtered twice before it enters the house, so it’s tastes excellent out of any faucet. It’s filtered a third time through the icemaker and water dispenser. The rain water has all of the natural minerals and it doesn’t have any chemicals, it’s the only water we use when we're there.
Here’s a nice video about Guana Cay https://youtu.be/QK0iydpnChg (Please note that the extra-large crowds at Nippers seen towards the end of the video occur two weekends a year during the Barefoot Man concerts)
Restaurants and Shops on Great Guana Cay : World-famous Nipper’s Beach Bar and Grill is family-friendly with a swimming pool and consistently excellent food. It’s always fun and people come from all of the neighboring islands to visit, especially on Sunday afternoon for the weekly Pig Roast Party. Friday nights are also popular for Chicken-In-Da-Bag or Conch. Don’t forget Grabber’s for dinner and to watch the spectacular sunsets....and join visitors and second-homeowners on Wednesday night for Pot Luck. Kidd's Cove Seafood & Bar is cooking up daily specials and sushi. Another option is Orchid Bay Yacht Club & Marina which has a nice restaurant Sunsetter that features Rib Night on Saturdays and Wing Night on Thursdays, as well as a full-service marina. Beach Dream is within walking distance to everything, but it’s fun to rent a golf cart for a day or two to explore the entire seven mile island.
If you would like the best off-shore deep sea fishing in the Abacos, Captain Henry Sands can hook you up. Edmond Pinder also offers nearby lobster spearing and snorkeling for conch with a shore lunch, as well as island hopping excursions, fishing, and private guide services in your boat or a rental boat.

Wonderful place on the beach!!
This house was everything you could want for a place on the beach. We went for a family vacation before Easter. Great Guana Cay is very laid back and easy to maneuver around. We had 2 golf carts and a boat. Visited some of the other islands. Went snorkeling, even on the reef right in front of the house. The house is very well appointed. Just when you thought, 'oh they probably don't have this" there was the pair of binoculars that you wished you brought! Would definitely stay here again.
We're so happy you had a great time and created wonderful memories!
We always try to keep the beach house supplied with everything you need...and as you mentioned, even things that are just great to have such as binoculars, beach chairs, umbrella, boogie boards and assorted beach toys.
We look forward to you return for another fantastic vacation!
Total Thumbs-Up Vacation Spot
I wanted to have an active vacation for our family of 20 and 30-something children. A friend recommended Beach Dream as "the one place she has returned to as a vacation spot." Knowing this friend, that is high praise indeed. We booked Beach Dream and spent, what everyone in the group described as, one of the best vacations ever. We rented a golf cart from Donna's Carts for the destinations further from town, but we could easily walk anywhere else, from the grocery to Grabbers. We ate twice at Kidd's Cove and enjoyed apps at Nippers and Grabbers. The snorkeling off of Grabbers is great for beginners because it is shallow and often calmer than the Atlantic. We rented a boat from Dive Guana and were treated very nicely by Troy and Maria. But Beach Dream itself was the star - it was the hub, the place we all returned to to eat, play games, watch the ocean, drink morning coffee, share stories and make memories. Thank you for creating a home with such a good feeling. I think we left some good ones for the next group!
Beautiful Spot Overlooking the Atlantic
We just came back from a family vacation to Great Guana Cay and stayed at Beach Dream. The house is beautiful and within walking distance of pretty much everything on Guana Cay. The views overlooking the ocean are spectacular. This home is perfect for a family vacation and had all of the amenities of home! We rented a boat from Troy at Dive Guana and did some island hopping. He also told us some places to snorkel on Sea of Abaco because Hurricane Matthew had just passed through and the water was quite rough on the Atlantic side! The waves were fun for boogie boarding!! I would definitely recommend this property! Make sure to visit Nipper's!!
We're so glad you had a great time and appreciated the extra amenities!
Beach Dreams come true again for our family!!!
We just returned late last night from another wonderful trip to Great Guana Cay and the fabulous Beach Dream home!!! This was our second trip to this fantastic home in the last 17 months and we were not disappointed. The home is beautifully situated on top of a beautiful sand dune with sweeping views of the ocean and fantastic reef during low tide. We had 4 adults and 4 children, ages 14-17, with us this time and between the snorkeling on the reef, and with Troy from Dive Guana, the visits to Hope Town and the lighthouse, Man-O-War Cay and the Albury Sail Shop for a one of a kind bag, we had little time for disagreements or lack of activities.
Nippers, Grabbers, and SunSetters where great places to enjoy local flavors, from the food, to the drinks, to the locals themselves. If you want to just stay low key, Beach Dream is a great home for entertaining, allow the view, beach, and oceans be the host. Sit on the deck and watch the waves and clear blue water dance in the brilliant sun!! Return to the same spot at night and look at the stars as they put an a light show rivaled by none. The four bedrooms and great open concept gives you the ability to mingle with family or friends, or get your alone time in two master suites or two smaller comfortable rooms, great for the kids to run off to and get their technology time between swimming and wonderful walks along the softest sand on any beach we have experienced.
I thank Grant and Kelley for opening up their home to families who like to travel and get the local feel. Gina the caretaker deserves a big thank you as well. Meeting us the the dock and leading us up to the home makes for an excellent arrival. Her help in getting us out on time to catch the departing ferry is very helpful, particularly when you are finding every excuse to stay that one extra minute to prolong your fantastic stay. So if you are looking for a commercial, vanilla, cookie cutter vacation, the big box resorts are the way to go. If you are looking for a relaxing, stress free, get to know the locals, and become one with the community, as much as you can in a week, and you want a private beach feel on one of the top beaches and the 3rd largest reef system in the world than your dreams will come true at Beach Dream!!!
Thank you for the perfect description of why families LOVE Beach Dream so much...and return year after year!
Family members and I are currently at Beach Dream. Tomorrow is our last day. We all had a wonderful time. We rented a boat from Dive Guana. We went to Hope town yesterday. The weather was perfect. We stopped in a couple bays and relaxed in the beautiful waters. The home is great! Great location, the beach is awesome! Everything you need is supplied. This is our first time to the island. We will definitely return again.
We're so pleased that you had a wonderful time and enjoyed our beach home as well as the virtually private beach in front of the house...as you said, it's AWESOME! We're happy to supply everything you need in order to make it feel like YOUR home and the best vacation ever! We look forward to your return to Beach Dream
DREAM VACATION AT BEACH DREAM
Great place, great location, great house and outstanding accommodations on a beautiful beach. We were literally steps from the beach and the crystal clear waters. At times, we were the only ones on the beach for our morning walks. What else needs to be said. Get there as fast as you can. Grant, the owner, was very accommodating and made the rental process fast and easy. Our caretakers, Gina and Robert, went beyond the call of duty to make our stay a memorable one. Oh by the way, did I mention we were within walking distance of Nippers, Grabbers and other local restaurants in the settlement. We did have a golf cart which made it possible to explore other parts of the island as well. We will definitely return to Beach Dreams as soon as possible.
Beach Dream is a spectacular beach house located on Great Guana Cay in the Abaco chain of islands in the Bahamas. Great Guana Cay has a gorgeous pink-white sand beach that stretches for miles along the ocean and is never crowded. The house has tremendous views overlooking the Atlantic Ocean and a magnificent reef for snorkeling and shore dives is just off the beach in front of the house. There is great deep-sea fishing just beyond the nearby barrier reef which is the third longest in the world. On the other side of the island is the Sea of Abaco known as the 'cruising capital' of the Bahamas due to its calm waters and beautiful anchorages. Beach Dream is conveniently located to all of the restaurants and shops and is just a short walk up the beach from world famous Nipper's Beach Bar and Grill. Other Activities: excellent snorkeling in front of the house, boating, deep-sea fishing A golf cart is needed to access the ultra-exclusive Baker's Bay Golf and Ocean Club which is a playground for the rich and famous at the north end of the island. They rarely allow guests to enter for lunch, appetizers and drinks at the Conch Shack or dinner in the restaurant. It is a well-run resort that is newly developed but membership is required to play golf at the Tom Fazio-designed course. Don't be surprised if you spot someone famous at Nippers or Grabbers as they like to venture out of Bakers Bay and have fun, too!
