Greetings from Palm Island, Florida. Palm Island is one of the last bastions of the old Florida lifestyle. Quiet and laid-back, Palm Island is really three islands (Don Pedro, Knights and Palm) with a contiguous seven mile white sand beach on the west and harbors and inlets on the east.

Palm Island is separated from the mainland by Lemon Bay, but is served every 10 minutes by car ferry as well as water taxi and private craft. Traffic is minimal, requiring no lights or stop signs and one paved road. Although vehicles are used, most island transport is via golf cars.

Tranquility House is a four bedroom beach home completed in 2008. With approx. 3,500+ s.f. of living space under air and 7,000 s.f. total space, this property is ideal for gatherings of families, friends, weddings and special occasions.

Tranquility House sleeps 12-16 people. It has been designed for strength, beauty, energy efficiency, comfort and low maintenance.

We built this property in 2008 to be an upscale beachfront fractional ownership property. Fractional Ownership did not develop, but the property became popular for weddings and vacation rentals. The property is now rented about 40 weeks annually. We return the property to arrival condition after each rental.

Keep it a secret!

Shhh!!! Don't tell anyone about Tranquility House. Literally this is a diamond in the rough. We have now stayed there four times. It is stunning. You won't be disappointed. The owners are very responsive and quite fair. The views are spectacular. The result: wonderful memories.

Awesome Place! Fantastic Getaway!

This is beautiful property with breathtaking views. Everything you could need is provided. My wife and I visited with my parents and our four children (ages 8-16). There was ample room and plenty to keep all of us occupied. My absolute favorite thing to do was to make a drink and sit on deck each evening watching the sun set. The kids loved playing in the sand and surf, searching for fossilized shark teeth, the elevator, and having their own televisions to watch. Mom and Amy enjoyed the sun, sand, wine, and reading their books. My dad enjoyed the hot-tub, golf-cart, television, and card games at the huge table. I enjoyed the grill, sleeping in, shell collecting, and watching the views of the water and sky change constantly. We've visited Don Pedro Island three times before and always stayed at beach-front properties. Tranquility House is definitely a step above the rest and we'll return if possible.

David was easy to work with and did all he could to make sure our stay was enjoyable.

Property is great

Amazing property but the owner is a completely different story. The rules and checklists we insane. We got charged for things that never happened and felt like the owner was trying to treat us like we were 10 years old. 100% would NOT recommend this property unless you plan on not touching anything in the house and doing absolutely nothing will your there. Completely overbearing owner.

Owner's Response: This party of 16 men did over $1,000 damage to this property. They lied on their application and blatantly violated no smoking rules. They left burns and broke a $700 heavy wood bar stool into 3 pieces. They moved landscape barriers and drove vehicles across expensive and sensitive landscape. They marred a newly refinished dining table and exteriors railings. It is unfortunate that we have a few guests like this who damage the property and inconvenience future guests. We try to screen them out, but were unsuccessful this time. After deducting cleaning and damages, they have an unpaid balance. Naturally, they are not invited to return.

A Very Special Place

Just back from our 3rd year staying at the Tranquility House. The house has everything your could need or want. The kitchen is well stocked with any kitchen item you could need and all in good condition. The elevator is a godsend....for the older family members and for bringing up all the groceries and luggage! The golf cart that comes with the house is a must have on the island as well. The first floor balcony is wonderful and even the non-beach goers can enjoy the beauty of Palm Island without even walking the beach. Shelling is great and if you are not careful you will become obsessed with looking for sharks teeth. The beach is also great for small children and the sunsets are awesome. We had thirteen people in the house ages from 2 to 86 and there was something for everyone. I am sure we will be back next year! Palm Island is certainly a special place!

Amazing vacation spot

We got very lucky and came across this listing while looking for a spot to have our small wedding on the beach. It was PERFECT!! The house is just wonderful. Once we decided that this was what we were looking for, communication with Mr. Andrews back and forth was very easy. He made sure we knew the rules and regulations and made things clear and understandable. The house was extremely spacious, comfortable and in great condition. The outside was just as great! The view from the balconies were breath taking. Just a short walk out back and your toes were in the sand. Our wedding ceremony went just as planned and turned out absolutely beautiful. We and all our guests were extremely pleased! Highly recommend this vacation home and would return back in a heart beat!

Perfection!!!

This was our second visit to Tranquility House and it proved again to be a perfect vacation property. Our group of thirteen - three generations, including five children, aged from 8 to 11 years, found fun and relaxation on Palm Island and appreciated every amenity in this well equipped, comfortable house. Steps from a splendid beach, short golf cart drive to the local resort for a family style restaurant, ice-cream shop and basic food items (including a reasonably priced bottle of wine) plus spectacular sunsets - this house hits all the "must haves". There are three great double bedrooms upstairs with a very comfortable pull-out couch in the downstairs library and a upstairs kids bunk room which is A+. All the bedrooms have ensuite bathrooms, except the library but even that is only a few steps from a shower room. The kitchen/great room is perfect for vacation living with easy access to a shady deck overlooking the beach. The property also has a great laundry room - an essential when you have kids in your party. We met many local residents on the island and were invited to attend one of their beach concerts which we all enjoyed. Once "off island" there is access to a good supermarket, local restaurants, boat rentals, paddle boards, etc. However plan carefully so as not to waste the ferry tickets - buying extra tickets is expensive! All our family thoroughly recommend Tranquility House and we have already reserved our week for our third visit next year.

For each 1-2 person addition, nightly rates increase by $70, $50 and $33 for Daily, Weekly and Monthly rentals respectively.
Rentals will only be made to families and single adults age 25 or over who must occupy the property.
Cancellations more than 90 days from arrival will receive a full refund less a $100 cancellation fee. Cancellations 31-90 days prior to arrival will forfeit the reservation deposit. Cancellations less than 31 days from arrival will forfeit the rent. Applies to partial and full cancellations.
