About Tracy Hagman
We grew up in the Los Angeles area and have always enjoyed Big Bear. My husband's family has owned property in Big Bear Lake since the early 70's. Our family enjoys all the amenities Big Bear has to offer. Snowboarding, skiing, dual sporting, hiking, jeeping, biking & boating. We also enjoy the many great restaurants & shops. We also love to just hang out, relax watching movies while enjoying the view from the large windows in the house.
Tracy Hagman purchased this House in 1993
Why Tracy Hagman chose Upper Moonridge
We love the many benefits that Big Bear has to offer. Great people, food, activites & weather. This house has been in the family for generations. Although it did not always look like this.
What makes this House unique
We love that you can ski, board, golf, hike, bike, sled, dual sport & 4 wheel right outside the front door of our home. No need to drive & find parking when all activites are right here. We park our boat at the Pine Knot Marina in the summer & enjoy sunset boat rides.

Incredible house right next to Bear Mountain
We had a wonderful weekend in this home. The kitchen has EVERYTHING you need. Stock pots for chili, huge stove for cooking breakfasts and heating dinners. Plenty of plates and bowls, and nice large dishwasher. The laundry facilities are fantastic also. There is a marvelous fireplace in the living room- be sure to pick up some wood because you will want to enjoy this. Linens provided, and a eating table that actually seats as many people as can sleep there. It is fantastic.
You are literally a quarter mile from Bear Mountain Slopes. You don't have to pay to park because you can either walk to Bear or take the shuttle to Snow Summit. Plus, AMAZING sledding right outside the front door. You will not be sorry if you rent this house!
Beautiful Lodge Getaway
This house was perfect for our group Big Bear Getaway for so many reasons.
Location - being less than a 5 minute walk away from Bear Mountain made our boarding/skiing activities so easy! We could come/go as we pleased and didn't have to deal with traffic to/from the resort.
Public Area - The high ceiling livingroom area with the cabin decor definitely made out mini-vacation feel like we were truly away. Also the open layout made everyone feel connected/around while not being right on top of each other.
Kitchen - Being connected to the livingroom ensured our chefs for the weekend didn't feel separated from the group. Additionally, the open layout allowed mutiple people to help in the kitchen.
Only possible improvement - the lower balcony/deck had some uneven rock finish; was a bit of a tripping hazard when we were unloading our luggage at night but no big deal for the weekend :)
Large beautiful home in Big Bear
The house was perfect for our group of 13 (8 adults and 5 kids). It looked exactly as pictured, and was beautiful, spacious and clean. Love love the large wooden dining room table! Part of our group snowboarded at Big Bear and Snow Summit on multiple days and found the location to be ideal. You can walk from the house to the slope. Going down is easy but walking back up the mildly steep road to the house can be a challenge for some while carrying the snowboards. We lucked out with getting snow during the stay, and enjoyed being able to play and sled around the house’s small hills. We would definitely consider booking again next time we are in Big Bear! Thank you for a wonderful weekend.
Beautiful, spacious, clean home
This home is great for large groups. We loved how spacious, clean, and nice it was. There is plenty of space for everyone. It is very private and has a huge advantage being the last house on the street so there is plenty of room to play outside. The house is warm, large kitchen and living room. The master bedroom is upstairs and the 2 bedrooms below it hear quite loudly when someone is showering or if the toilet is being flushed upstairs, which is annoying when it's during the night while sleeping.
We booked 4 nights but stayed for 3 nights. We did get locked out as we were preparing to leave, we had the cars packed but my husband had forgotten something. The lock box code did not work, I did call the owner a couple of times unfortunately no answer so we had to leave it behind. It was strange that the lock box did not work especially since we had another night left that was paid for. .
Overall the stay was fantastic. This is a home we would definitely consider again next time.
Thank you for your review. We are glad you enjoyed your stay. You can only be locked out if you deadbolt the door on the inside. Otherwise you can always enter with the keypad. Sorry we were not available when you called but wish you would have left a message so we could assist you in getting back into the house.
We enjoy our stay there a lot. Everything we needed was there. The slope was down the street for the boys to snowboard and the park to slide with up the street to sled and take pictures for the girls and babies. It was nice.
This place was perfect for our large family weekend getaway. The house is absolutely georgious. It was well stocked with everything you need for the weekend. We had one small issue, no big deal really but being that we were a lot of people, we wanted to bbq to make things quicker and have less of a kitchen mess but the grill was not cooperating. It would not get very hard. Out outside rail is very loose, with a few wood slabs on the floor that could use replacing for future safety precautions. But again, not an issue. The master bedroom was so nice with a beautiful open bathroom layout. This house is so close to bear mountain you can walk there. Overall my family and I had a wonderful day and would defiantly return!
