Though it's only a mile from town, this gorgeous custom log home will make you feel like you're miles away from everything. Have hot coca in bed in front of the master bedroom's roaring fireplace. Have a family foosball tournament in the playroom. Make a gourmet meal in the brand-new kitchen. Bundle up, sit on the porch, and just listen to the snow falling off the branches. Go boating, swimming, and hiking in the summer, and enjoy the dazzling colors of the leaves in the fall. Lake Placid is truly a four-season town.

Lake Placid is a charming, delightful town with many restaurants and a fun night-life. You can visit the site of 1980's Miracle on Ice Olympic Hockey game, or rent skates and take a spin yourself around the speed-skating oval. The breathtaking high peaks in the area offer a plethora of options for hiking, mountain biking, cross-country skiing, and snowshoeing. Whiteface Mountain is only a 15-minute drive away.

This home is great for two families traveling together; the middle floor is a nice meeting place with the kitchen, deck, and living area, yet families can separate to their own floors up and downstairs. We have had many renters come back year after year.

Beautiful log home tucked away in the woods but just minutes from downtown

Gorgeous lodge style luxury with plenty of room! Adirondack charm hidden down a long wooded drive but so close to all the amenities Lake Placid has to offer & a short drive to Whiteface Mountain. Four bedrooms two & a half baths, two bunk beds & foos ball on the lower level could accommodate families easily...even a crib upstairs. Clean, spacious living area, lovely & functional kitchen, cozy fireplace and a great covered porch with swing. A tranquil setting in a fun tourist town with so much to do (Olympic sites, shopping, boating, gondola ride up the mountain & more) made for a memorable vacation! Even a firepit outdoors for s' mores & stargazing! This is THE place to stay in the Lake Placid /White face Mountain area!

Wonderful getaway spot in Lake Placid

  • 5 of 5

Came up for Lake Placid Ironman 70.3. House was a great spot for two families. It was well equipped and very comfortable. It was close to the shuttle lots for the race, so getting to the event was easy. Our families had fun exploring the local sights. Would definitely come back!

A group of us came up for the Ironman race and had a wonderful stay. There was plenty of room for 4 families to share the space. The place was super clean, kitchen fully stocked with plenty of cookware/utensils. It was within a short run to the race start (1.5mi).

The owners are super easy to deal with.

Beautiful home

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I stayed here 2/15/16-2/18/16 it was absolutely gorgeous! it was only the two of us. It has such a comfortable appeal. It's so warm and inviting when you walk in. The best part about it was the porch/balcony with it covered especially when it's snowing and you can enjoy sitting out there and watching it fall with a cocktail in hand! You feel super secluded although town is only 4 minutes down the road. The town is so cute to walk around and do so many different activities! We will certainly be back to this house, with some extra people to fill it and enjoy it as we did!

Beautiful home, close to everything, yet secluded!

  • 5 of 5

My family really enjoyed themselves in this beautiful home. Complete with everything you need, we really just had to buy groceries! Home was clean, comfortable and gorgeous! My husband and I stayed in a room downstairs, there was an additional room there my brother stayed in. We really could have fit more as there were bunkbeds in a rec/room on the 1st floor. Laundry room, 3 bathrooms, it was better than we expected. My daughter & son-in-law, along with my two toddler grandchildren stayed upstairs because the bedrooms were close together, perfect for them and the kids loved that the owners provide toys and games galore to play with. The livingroom, dining/kitchen great room areas are large open with lots of windows. The owners are great to work with and we do hope to stay there again sometime!

One mile from the center of town, the Olympic Oval, and downtown Lake Placid's restaurants, bars, and shopping. Two miles from Olympic ski jumps, luge, and bobsled track. Three miles from horse show grounds.
