At Casa Las Piedras you will relax in a hammock or around the Infinity pool, take a walk along the beach or enjoy a massage from our on-site massage therapist. Sleep to the sound of the surf. Awake to a sumptuous daily breakfast. Practice yoga under our outdoor pergola. Order a specially prepared dinner of varied regional fare.
Our modern hacienda overlooks the Pacific Ocean, and is surrounded by lush gardens and tropical fruit trees. The villa is open throughout. Handcrafted designs and fine art balanced with modern touches create a soothing ambiance. The house and gardens have many nooks where one can find a private place for relaxation. You will be fascinated with the architecture. Everything you see was made on the property.
We are located on Playa Troncones: a 5-mile long sandy beach interspersed with rock formations and tidepools. The beach is a popular spot for surfing, as well as horseback riding, swimming, and birdwatching. Manzanillo Bay is within easy walking distance. Anai and Jorge can arrange surfing instructions as well as board rentals. Other activities include: Mountain biking, Deep-sea fishing and boat charters. Abundant birds and whale watching (in season).

About Effy Weisfield
The owners of Casa las Piedras, Richard and Effy Weisfield, discovered paradise in Playa Troncones, Mexico and decided to build this luxury villa to share with special guests. We return year after year with our family to enjoy the beach, renewing ourselves and the Casa we are now proud to share with you.
Effy Weisfield purchased this Villa in 2004
Why Effy Weisfield chose Troncones
We hired Enrique Zozaya, the pre-eminent architect from nearby Ixtapa, to design Casa las Piedras. Zozaya is known for his exquisite use of local materials in the luxury villas, guest houses, and hotels he has built across the Mexican Riviera.
What makes this Villa unique
The open design of the common areas creates a sense of intimacy with the natural environment. Rising from the center of the sitting area are double tree trunks supporting the tall, vaulted ceiling. A floating circular staircase leads to the Tango Suite. The sound of the surf and ocean breezes fill the air. The living and dining areas front the pool, pergola, and gardens, providing many spots for privacy and relaxation. A platform to relax, read, enjoy yoga practice and evening sunsets overlooks the ocean. A path from the pool leads down to the beach.

This is the second time we stayed at Casa Las Piedras, and we wondered if we would love it as much as we did the first time. Remarkably, we did! The caretakers, Jorge and Anai, are simply wonderful in every way: helpful, cheerful, full of great recommendations, and Anai is a fabulous cook. Her breakfasts are sumptuous - something different every day! - and she made a couple of terrific dinners for us. The house is extraordinary - gorgeous architecturally, and completely open to the ocean, and Jorge continues to improve the gardens, which are prettier than ever. And of course, the setting cannot be beat: right by the ocean, great waves to play in, lovely long beaches to walk on, lots of great bird-watching, and incredibly relaxing sleep to the constant sound of the waves. It doesn’t get any closer to Paradise!
Welcome Back! We are so happy that you had a wonderful time . We are so lucky to have Anai and Jorge. They take care of our guests very well. Hope to see you again soon.
We rented the entire house for 5 nights — we were a group of 4 adults and 2 kids. We had a good experience leading up to our stay and it was seriously amazing once we got there. The house is beautiful and we swam in the pool and ocean all day. We were a short walk from a kid-friendly beach which we loved. Anai and Jorge were really kind and welcoming. Anai is an amazing cook. We didn’t want to leave and want to come back.
Thank you so much for your positive comments. We are so glad to hear that you enjoyed your stay with us and we are looking forward to having you again.

Peace & Quiet
Casa Las Piedras was everything and more that I hoped for. Beautiful property, yummy food, quiet, nice rooms, lovely pool. We had a wonderful vacation. Thank you!
Amazing week in the sun
My wife and 4 friends rented Casa las Piedras for a week and could not have been happier. The house is big and open and the rooms are spacious. Anai is an amazing cook and makes breakfast every morning and you can have her cook dinner for you for a small fee and I highly recommend doing this. We had her cook catch of the day and she literally got it that morning and cooked it for us. So good! The pool is a lot of fun to relax and cool off in and sunbathe next to and the beach is about 50 feet away. It was a great trip and one I'm sure we will make again!!
So nice to hear from our guests that they enjoyed their stay.
We are so grateful!
Effy and everyone involved with Casa Las Piedras
This is a beautiful little inn right on the water in a very quiet part of Troncones. The grounds are immaculate, as is the house. The colors and Mexican throughout are very attractive. Our intention was to stay one night, however, we couldn't leave and we were lucky enough to have a 2nd night available. Pure bliss! In the morning a delicious breakfast is served. One morning we had crepes, along with fresh fruit, granola and yogurt. And the next we had huevos rancheros, as well as fruit, granola and yogurt. This is the perfect place to relax. We will definitely return.
Perfect place for family get-together
My husband's family is spread around the world, and we chose Casa las Piedras as a meeting point. It proved to be an excellent choice. We were three families with children from 1-15 years of age + the childrens grandparents. The house gave us privacy and tranquility with the comforts of an hotel. Everyone could do what they liked, without any pushy "activity leaders" or sales people. We enjoyed swimming in the pool, exploring rockpools or walking the beach, playing boardgames, reading, just "hanging out", watching fireflies and sunsets from the "yoga deck" or movies in the Tango suite, playing computergames/ checking the web. The internet was a little slow and unreliable at times, and we had no mobile phone coverage, but in my opinion it just added to the relaxation.
It was nice to have breakfast served every day without having to go to a restaurant, and at a time of our choice. Anai is an excellent cook. Breakfasts were delicious! They included freshly squeezed juice, fresh fruit, yoghurt, homemade granola (yummy!!) and a different hot dish every day.
The house was also a perfect size for us; One room per adult couple. The kids slept comfortably on the lofts + one baby in a cot in the Tango suite. I was afraid it was going to be too hot in the house, but the fans and the ocean breeze kept the temperature down at most times. Although it was rainy season, there were hardly any mosquitos and the weather was good; Only an occational afternoon shower or a thunderstorm at night.
Both the owner and the staff were always helpful and polite from the first contact and throughout the stay. The estate was beautiful, even more so than the pictures on the web, and was kept immaculately clean.
Since breakfasts were so substantial, we usually just went out for lunch in a restaurant "downtown" Troncones and then had a light evening snack in the house. We especially liked Siete Mares (Try the Mariscada) and Costa Brava (Great margaritas and lobster). The food in both restaurants is delicious and inexpensive.
One night, we indulged ourselves with dinner in the restaurant of Present Moment Resort and Spa, which is only a 20 minute walk down the beach. It is a little more expensive, but the ambiance, service and food made it totally worth it. On our request, they put a table on the beach for us. The sunset was incredible, and the seared tuna is the best I've ever had.
I highly recommend Casa las Piedras if you want a truly relaxing vacation.
