Property description

You can save over $100.00 website fees included in the quoted price by contacting me directly through the "Send a Message" tab. It is located under the REQUEST TO BOOK TAB on the right side of the page. $500.00 of the quoted fee is a refundable deposit.

To save over $100.00 from the quoted price in website fees you can use the old fashioned way I have used for over 13 years. To reduce the quoted price press the "Send a Message" tab to communicate with me. I will answer your questions or email you a proposed contract to review. You can also contact me by telephone. By this method you can pay by personal check. You would complete the information needed and mail or email the contract to me. A refundable $500 security and damage deposit is due upon the reservation. The remainder will be due 60 days prior to the first day of the rental term. Under this first option, you will not be required to pay service fees to HomeAway or VRBO. Under the modern second method you would press the REQUEST TO BOOK tab and pay the full quoted price by credit card that includes the website fees.

Pelican's Perch is an upscale, luxury townhouse condo less than 16 yards from the water of the Gulf of Mexico. The condo has 1,400 square feet of interior living area plus two large, 'L' shaped decks that wrap around the condo. Each deck has captivating views of the Gulf of Mexico on one side and the heated pool on the other. When the breezes are gentle, you can watch marine life in the water from the decks. A gas grill is provided on the lower deck.

Local zoning rules allow 6 people to reside in the condo. This limit is strictly enforced. Free high speed Wi-Fi Internet access is provided. The master bedroom features a new Consumer Reports recommended king-size bed with an open water view. The second bedroom has queen and twin beds. A queen-size bed pulls out from a sofa on the first floor. A large, eight boat dock and heated pool are a one minute walk away.

The dock is located at the mouth of the Key Vaca Cut, providing good fishing & easy access to both the Gulf of Mexico and the Atlantic Ocean. Dockage is first come first served with owners having priority. Backup dockage is available off site if needed.

The grounds are impeccably landscaped.

The kitchen has been updated with new tile and stainless appliances. We have had the same housekeeper for thirteen years. Barbara keeps the place spotless.

Renters have use of 3 bikes (2 rental type bikes and 1 kids BMX bike) full beach gear such as beach chairs, umbrellas, mats, toys, fishing gear, pool noodles, and some snorkeling gear. Board games are included inside the condo.

The most common comment we receive about Pelican's Perch is that the condo is 'even better than expected.'

Car: Necessary

The large heated pool is beautiful. The large dock is great for fishing and boating. Marinas, restaurants, and shopping are within walking distance. The closest beaches are about a mile away. The best local beach, Sombrero, is about a 5 minute drive. The condo is within a 5 mile drive of a movie theater, playhouse, several shopping centers with supermarkets, a K-Mart, more restaurants and gift shops. Also within 5 miles are two beaches, golf courses, and tennis and basketball courts. Drive another 10 miles and you will pass three more beaches.

A pedestrian and bike path runs in front of the complex all the way to the abandoned 7 Mile Bridge, about 6 miles away. This bridge extends 2 miles to Pigeon Key Historical Museum. The 2 mile span is reserved for fishing, walkers, and bicyclists. The entrance of the complex is also about 100 yards from the beautiful Key Colony Beach bike and walkway.

Why the Owner Chose Marathon, FL, USA:
The views from the balconies are spectacular. The Gulf water is less than 16 yards away. The pool is beautiful. The dock on the Vaca Cut is a great place to fish. The condo is centrally located beetween Key Largo and Key West. The condo is spacious, 1,400 square feet of interior living area plus the two balconies. The condo is a lot better than it looks in pictures. WE DO NOT ADVERTISE ON CRAIG'S LIST

The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The two water front balconies are located on the east side of the building. This provides valuable afternoon shade while sitting on the decks. Even during the hot summer afternoons, the balonies are surprisingly comfortable with the shade and sea breeze. We have several types of chairs including rocking chairs on the decks.
