Great little loft

  • 5 of 5

The loft was as pictured and clean, exactly as expected. Communication from Bruno and the ladies in Venice was prompt and very helpful, and they even left a bottle of sparkling wine for us upon arrival!! Very nice touch. The mattress wasn't the most comfortable, but unless you're staying for an extended period this shouldn't be an issue at all. Overall terrific, great location and would stay here again.

Great stay!

  • 5 of 5

Property was great! All of the other reviews are very accurate. The ceilings are low and it's up some narrow stairs, so if you're tall or unable to carry your luggage up stairs, this may not be the place for you. But for us, it was a terrific place to stay. We were there in July and the air conditioning worked great and kept the place really cool. Any questions we had were answered promptly, and overall the place was very comfortable. It's also a bit away from the very touristy areas so it provided a nice escape from the crowds. Would definitely stay here again and recommend to those traveling to Venice!

The Nest was a cozy HomeAwayFromHome!

  • 5 of 5

Such an adorable little apartment. We really were comfortable here. The low headroom wasn't much of a problem as neither of us is super tall anyway. Felt safe and cozy in our little Venice hideaway, close to all great things to do!

Clean and cost in a convenient location

  • 3 of 5

We very much enjoyed our stay here. Just as previous reviewers mentioned, this is an attic apartment so the ceilings are very low at the sides. And there is a bathtub, but NO SHOWER and not really room to stand to rinse. The apartment is 4 floors up, very quiet, the ac is COLD (you'll appreciate that in the warm humid weather here), and the apartment is well-equipped. Tatiana's daughter kindly met us for check in and recommended delicious restaurants just a few doors down. To get to the more popular areas you will have to walk down and cross the Grand Canal, but we actually preferred this quieter area.

Perfect location; clean, unique and memorable apartment!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at the San Polo flat for a couple nights in late May 2017 while in Venice.

First impression: very unique attic apartment, spotlessly clean, and updated modern utilities.

We checked in with no problems and were greeted by a very friendly young woman who was able to speak english with us. She provided thorough instructions on how to use everything. Some previous reviews disclosed issues with the hot water. Instructions for the hot water heater were provided at check in - and it was very easy to use! (The first shower we took, we did spend about ten minutes figuring out the heater because it had a tendency to shut off, however after doing it once, it wasn't an issue at all the rest of the stay! Do not let reviews about the hot water keep you from staying here!! It really isn't an issue!)

We found the apartment to be incredibly charming :) There is a stereo with CDs from a selection of genres, which we listened to in the mornings and also in the evening while drinking wine and getting ready for dinner. There's a small fridge, stove and a coffee pot. There is a washing machine, which we didn't need to use, but it's nice that it was an option! There's also an A/C unit, which we used in the evenings; worked perfectly! The views from the windows of the rooftops is so authentic. And you can hear church bells in the mornings (esp 8am for whatever reason), which just adds to the charm of the apartment.

The headspace is limited. My husband and I are not super tall (5'8"), which worked out just fine! If you're a very tall person, just be prepared to crouch a bit. But that's part of the charm of the place!

The location was PERFECT. It was far enough away from the tourist areas that we weren't bothered with that, but we could easily walk to it if we wanted to. There are plenty of restaurants, bars and shops nearby, but it doesn't feel like the cruise ships are letting people off right at your doorstep, as would be true if you stayed in other areas.

Bruno was so easy to communicate with! He was very responsive to all questions and is quick to respond via email, which I'm grateful for!

All in all, worth the money and am SO glad we stayed here! I would definitely encourage my friends to stay here, so you should, too!

A big thank you to Bruno and his staff for a lovely visit!
