Perfect getaway for 2

  • 5 of 5

My boyfriend and I were best friends for 10 years before we admitted we were in love. We just shared our first vacation together at your home and it was absolutely perfect for us! INCREDIBLY spacious, well stocked, breathtaking view, literally everything we could have asked for. The Santos family really go above and beyond for their guests. We enjoyed the wine! We will without a doubt be back to stay at your home again. This was the perfect start to our forever.

Beautiful home in a beautiful setting!

  • 5 of 5

This rental was so great for our family. The location was so beautiful -- up in the Forest Park area, yet close enough to the city. Everything was clean, cozy and the steam shower after a chilly day outside was perfect! I would highly recommend this rental to anyone. It easily slept our family of four, and could easily accommodate six.

Perfect forest getaway.

  • 5 of 5

We had a great time at this house. Perfect space for a family, with a kid's play area outside and a nice grill on the terrace. Spacious and very comfortable. Everything top quality and in perfect working condition. We will be renting this place again next time my family comes to Portland. Thanks!

Family wedding in Portland

  • 5 of 5

We recently were in Portland for the first time at a family wedding. We had our son and daughter-in-law with and also their 2 children, aged 1 and 3. We did not want to stay at the wedding hotel, because it is hard to stay in hotel rooms with small children and try to keep them entertained and be able to have naps. This house totally fit the bill for us. We loved the quiet, woodsy area with a beautiful view of the city. They had a pak N play, hi-chair, lots of toys and books. The play set outside was really fun for the 3 year old. Nice swings, monkey bars, and slippery slides. I even swung with my grandson! The 2 small rooms were very private and great to put them down for naps and bedtime. I can see where if you were a larger person, it might be tight to stay in the smaller rooms. The main bedroom was huge with a nice fireplace in the corner. The other king size bed was not in the most private area, but it was very nice and easy to work around. We grilled on the deck and enjoyed the beautiful view. There is a pasture out the back with 3 friendly mules to watch. The living area is on the upstairs over a garage, so not good if you cannot climb a flight of stairs with lots of luggage, but we didn't have any problems with that. The place is located close to beautiful walking trails. Some of the trails were steep and great for hiking but there also were wide trails that you could push a stroller. (there was a stroller there too) If you want to be close to the downtown bar crowd, its a bit of a drive, not so much in distance, but curvy with a slow speed limit that takes time. We did head downtown for some shopping and lunch. There were all the amenities we needed to stay in and relax. The grocery store was about 3 miles away with everything we needed to purchase. On one of the rainy days, we played some of the numerous games they have there and put one of the puzzles together. The welcome basket with the treats and local information guides were a nice welcomed touch for us first time visitors. If we ever are back in Portland, we would stay at this place again in a minute!

Portlands Best

  • 5 of 5

This place is amazing! It was perfect for our family trip- we brought our two young children who slept in the small bedrooms and my parents who took the master bedroom. My wife and I slept on the king size bed in the main room. I have zero complaints about this place. It was the perfect location for our family as we went downtown, attended a wedding on the west side of town and did various activities throughout Portland. Its right off of Forest Park and we hiked nearly every day- i wish we had more time to discover the hiking trails. The Skyline tavern was fun as we went there for a break one night and met some really cool locals. Our kids played on the swingset and were enamored with the mules that used the pasture below the deck. In comparison to a hotel we would have spent almost double what we paid here. We made our own meals and found everything we needed to cook and bake inside the house. The house has puzzles and games and our family spent a fair time playing them all-this was an unexpected bonus!!. We also traveled with a 1 year old and the house was equipped with a high-chair, packnplay, and light stroller- this is so huge for a couple on an airplane!!

Cons: (there have to be some right?)

I would not stay here if you were looking to be downtown and go to a bunch of bars. There is usually driving involved with everywhere we went.

I would not stay here with more than 2 married couples. Its manageable with 2- with 3 somebody would be the odd man out.

Bottom line- if this house doesn't do it for you....i don't know what will? What a way to spend time in Portland- already thinking of how to come back!

Very comfortable accommodations

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four, with two junior high aged boys, absolutely loved this home. The boys enjoyed the playground and walking around the area, the foosball table, the TV, and the puzzles. We enjoyed the relaxing atmosphere, the comfort, and the many conveniences. We were very sad when our time in the Portland area came to an end!
