The house is like an oven extremely hot; very difficult to sleep at night. It was always cooler outside at night than inside.
Owner not pleased when I requested a floor fan.
Huge problem with ants; you can’t leave a plate with even little food on kitchen table or anywhere. Rivers of ants and they will crawl on you.
Not a single umbrella at poolside so you have no shade at all during the long hot hours.
Pretty porch, but not comfortable sitting to enjoy it; we had to carry living room couches outside to be able to sit comfortably to enjoy the evenings ( not possible inside).
Table and chairs at grill area picture, not there.
Owner lives right there; his dogs bark a lot.
None of this is an exaggeration.
I wish it had been different.
The place could be much better with only some changes.
The one thing that was great was the pool; the water is super clear and enjoyable.
I was surprised there was only one review. I guess bad reviews don’t see the light.
I doubt mine will.
I’m sad it was so disappointing; not a great way to start my vacation.
If you book a house on Homeaway & Partner sites you will have to accept the house rules of the respective properties. Usually it is not allowed to throw a huge party or hold major events and this point is additionally listed in our terms and conditions for this house. If our guests do not feel committed to it, we certainly have a lot of understanding for it, but we should be allowed to point it out to them. In general, we can agree quickly and only very rarely does it lead to escalation and threatened negative evaluation - as is unfortunately the case here.
The evaluators know that they did not receive a large number of visitors here as an exception, but rather daily and around the clock (family and friends live nearby) and sometimes also accommodated them. Everything else was ignited by it. Pets were often brought along to cheer on the dogs in the neighbourhood.
It is not uncommon for houses to heat up in midsummer and simple tips are usually helpful to compensate for temperature differences (e.g. shutters closed during the day). Fans were of course available. Also, ants are not unusual in the country and it took much more than "a plate with even little food" to attract the animals. We could get a picture of it after the departure. The outside area is accurate and conscientiously illustrated. To bring a living room sofa there is, well, feasible, but it would have been polite to bring it back to its place.
We are happy that the pool has found approval.
The municipality Sencelles is one of the largest surface area in the center of the island and a merger of the towns Biniali Ruberts, Jornets, Judi, Cascanar, Laia and the actual place Sencelles. This sometimes very small and almost uninhabited villages are the attractions of this community.
Today, they are a testimony of the traditional rural architecture of Mallorca, in earlier times they witnessed thanks to the wine industry, which was the most important branch of agriculture throughout the area, from prosperity. Other products such as figs, almonds and cereal and livestock are practically still the economic resources of the inhabitants.
The place Sencelles offers supermarkets and bakeries everything you need for everyday life and offers also with original bars and restaurants remained largely free from the tourist bustle.
Due to its location in the center of Mallorca, the municipality has very good connections in all directions.
From the Finca El Rancho from you very quickly reached Sencelles and after a few minutes and Biniagual, a village consisting of only a few glorious and painstakingly restored houses, all of which are privately owned by a family. Just a few miles away Binissalem, the current center of the Mallorcan wine industry and here also runs the highway that connects Palma with the north of the island. In about half an hour you do not reach both the capital of the island and the beautiful beaches of Alcudia and Pollenca in the north. Also in the Tramuntana mountains, it is not very far from the finca.
