About Edward Farley

My family and I have been coming to Jones Neck for many years. It was founded by my great grandmother in 1904. The property has remained in the family for all those years. There is always tons to do including just kicking back and enjoying the view or reading a good book. We spend many days on property just resting and other days we travel up the mid-coast exploring and enjoying the local fare.

Edward Farley purchased this house in 2008

Why Edward Farley chose Waldoboro

This home is a wonderful get-away from the pressures and stresses of daily life. A 1.5 hour drive from Portland, Maine and a 3.5 hour drive from Boston, this area has a special peace and serenity. It was designed with all the amenities of home(gourmet kitchen, wi-fi, custom TV) yet offers the unique feeling of 'getting away from it all if you so desire.

What makes this house unique

The view is spectacular, there is no other way to say it. The sound of the tide is always with you and the sight of lobstermen working their traps is the first thing you see in the morning. The air is so very fresh and reviving. Star gazing at night is a sport. Doted throughout the property are pine trees and bushes that provide privacy and a wonderful playground for wildlife.

Beautifully located on a private, coastal setting that overlooks isles and boats

We are so fortunate to have found this place that has deeply moved us, where we made memories we will always cherish. All the rooms were spacious, clean, and up-to-date/well-maintained, especially the kitchen, which was modern and equipped with everything we needed. The most impressive element was the surrounding, with its natural beauty that could be see from all the bedrooms. We have seen deer, a porcupine, chipmunks and squirrels. We have seen fish that jumped out of water between us and the isles. We kayaked far out only to be awed by how beautiful and peaceful everything was. The host was very helpful and accommodating, and promptly answered any questions we had. We are thankful to them for opening up their place for us to experience and enjoy, and leaving it at the end was not easy. Did I mention that they have two great bikes and a ping pong table in the garage? It was simply the best. We highly recommend this beautiful place!

Beautiful vistas! Feels like home.

Great house on a quiet piece of property. House has all the amenities you would want. Direct TV, gourmet kitchen and a yard for sitting and reading or playing. Our favorite is the pin pong table where we had many tournaments. A nice quiet place. Pretty drive to Camden, Rockland or Damriscotta for a day trip. We played golf in Rockland. Pretty place with great family memories. Thank you!

Worth a vsiit

Our three generations spent a very pleasant Thanksgiving here. The house is spacious and comfortable, with good light and views in the living room. The kitchen is well-equipped (it took a little work to figure out the oven). The bedrooms were all comfortable. Ed, the owner, was helpful via phone and email both before and during our visit, and arranged to have more firewood delivered promptly. Kayaking in the area is good, and in warmer weather we'd have enjoyed using the two kayaks as well as exploring the region.
