My family and I have been coming to Jones Neck for many years. It was founded by my great grandmother in 1904. The property has remained in the family for all those years. There is always tons to do including just kicking back and enjoying the view or reading a good book. We spend many days on property just resting and other days we travel up the mid-coast exploring and enjoying the local fare.

This home is a wonderful get-away from the pressures and stresses of daily life. A 1.5 hour drive from Portland, Maine and a 3.5 hour drive from Boston, this area has a special peace and serenity. It was designed with all the amenities of home(gourmet kitchen, wi-fi, custom TV) yet offers the unique feeling of 'getting away from it all if you so desire.

The view is spectacular, there is no other way to say it. The sound of the tide is always with you and the sight of lobstermen working their traps is the first thing you see in the morning. The air is so very fresh and reviving. Star gazing at night is a sport. Doted throughout the property are pine trees and bushes that provide privacy and a wonderful playground for wildlife.
Our three generations spent a very pleasant Thanksgiving here. The house is spacious and comfortable, with good light and views in the living room. The kitchen is well-equipped (it took a little work to figure out the oven). The bedrooms were all comfortable. Ed, the owner, was helpful via phone and email both before and during our visit, and arranged to have more firewood delivered promptly. Kayaking in the area is good, and in warmer weather we'd have enjoyed using the two kayaks as well as exploring the region.
Our home is located in a quiet area of Mid-Coast Maine(Ocean front) with many family activities such as hiking, Kayaking, shopping, antiquing all within a 30 mile radius in all directions. The area is know for lobsters, shrimp, art galleries and a variety of wonderful restaurants and shops. If you enjoy a quiet, rustic setting with 1st class amenities, you will love this cozy home.
