Great cabin, great location, beautiful view!

  • 5 of 5

Very easy to book. Good communication. It is well maintained. It is perfect to fit large groups of people. Perfect distance from both tamarack and brundage ski resorts. Only 25 minutes from McCall. It is overall a great experience to stay in both the summer and winter. Wold love to book another stay here.

Fabulous Stay!

  • 5 of 5

My group had a fabulous experience staying at the No Business Lodge (NBL) during the 2015/2016 holidays for a snowmobiling vacation. We arrived the day after Christmas to plenty of fresh powder and fires already burning in the woodstoves. The caretakers of NBL were on site to greet us and familiarize our group to the property. They also ended up needing to plow a bit more snow in the driveway for our trucks & trailers to get up the driveway but they stayed at it until we could get through.

Our group varied in size throughout the week, topping out at 13 guests. The bedroom/bunkroom configurations worked out well for both couples & singles. The 4 bathrooms worked out well for the layout too.

We ate most of our meals at NBL and even celebrated the New Year in the attached bar area. The kitchen is well stocked with everyday needs, including small appliances (crock pot, griddle, coffee maker, etc.).

Our group will definitely consider staying here again!

Awesome Weekend Wedding Venue

  • 5 of 5

Belinda and the No Business Lodge were the perfect venue for our summer wedding. The lodge is a beautiful location. There is a creek that runs behind the lodge that was perfect for float trips. We added on an extra night at the last minute for the boys to have for the bachelor party. We had the whole place for the entire weekend from Thursday to Sunday. It made the whole event an awesome relaxed environment. The scenery was beautiful. I cannot say how amazing Belinda was during the whole thing. I sent her e-mails constantly for almost a year while planning. She always responded within a few days and had ideas for all my questions. When we arrived for the rehearsal dinner she was a life saver. We planned the wedding ourselves, which meant that we hadn't actually really considered how to stage everyone for walking up the aisle for the ceremony and so on. Belinda took control and helped us with all the details. For our wedding day, she recommended that after the ceremony we go inside and spend some alone to soak in the moment. I'm so glad we took her advice. She had the caterer set aside some of the appetizers and champagne. It is one of my favorite memories from the day. Belinda took care of the setup and all the vendors the day of the wedding. She asked me a couple of questions during the rehearsal dinner and then ran the show. It was great, because that way I got to focus on enjoying the day and not on coordinating the event. Like I said, cannot say enough good things about Belinda and the No Business Lodge. We are thinking of going back for anniversary parties in the future.

Great wedding site!

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful experience at No Business. Breathtaking views, well kept property, nice private beach (although, admittedly there could be better access to the actual river). Belinda, the property manager was very accommodating and did her best to make sure our wedding was as perfect as it could be. I'd definitely recommend this lodge for anyone interested in experiencing Valley County in style! However, IMO it's more of a huge house than a lodge. :)

Beautiful views from every window

  • 4 of 5

We had a large snowmobile group that was there for 5 nights. This is the second time we have rented the house for a snowmobile trip. Great accommodations for a large group. There were a few things that were wrong with the house, but nothing too serious. I told Belinda and she asked me to make a list so that these things could be fixed. She was more than helpful with everything during our stay and appreciated the feedback. The snow conditions were not as good as we would like but overall everyone had a great time. Of course it snowed a ton "after" we left!!!

Perfet getaway and outdoor wedding venue boasts ALL the essentials -fun, lawn, view & covered area.

  • 5 of 5

We had the most incredible wedding ever at this venue! The No Business Ranch, as I endearingly called it, was like having a blank pallet, onto which we could paint the perfect image of our event within the most incredible surrounds imaginable. We can call it rustic for fun, however with all those amenities, and in that setting, rustic is more of a charmed frame of mind. The imperfections are minimal and simply add to the experience. The outdoor scenery is beautiful. The indoors is impeccably decorated. Having a private ranch and bar area/game room to use as our own added to the fun. Our group of 130 didn't lack in scenery, space or sounds. The trickle of the river could faintly be heard outside the master suite, as could the occasional cattle and wildlife sounds. Our family stayed in the bedrooms and the bunk room, some friends camped on the grounds and others stayed in a nearby Inn in Donnelly, Tamarack and McCall. We used the tongue and grooved-ceiling garage, in lieu of the grounds for the rehearsal dinner of 45 folks as a backup, due to our brief encounter with rain, then came out to enjoy the most spectacular sunset ever. Also brought in a square dance caller. We enjoyed having the place to ourselves, however non-DIY guests should definitely tap into Belinda's expertise and skills as a wedding planner, server/bartender and local resource expert. She is wonderful, as is the owner. The best part is - the night doesn't end at 11 pm, like it would in a non-overnight venue. Helpful info: There are four unavoidable stairs to get into the house, but one main-room floor came in handy for our stair-avoiding senior. On that note, wood back deck and backyard stairs can get very slippery when wet, so be sure to advise caution. Stairs down to the river and beach area are definitely NOT for seniors or healed shoes, as she'll warn you. Across the river, the beach is accessible on foot. McCall is a lovely destination town that's not far away, so we encouraged everyone to head to brunch there (and they loved it). I highly recommend this venue for group gatherings, and flat-healed shoes, as it's perfectly set up for both. Bring your own iPod - the game room's stereo has a plug-in! Ear plugs are another hot tip if you have early risers or late nighters in your group. Other conveniences: outdoor electricity, outdoor facilities, an extra fridge in the garage for back up beer or catering supplies, an empty garage to store stuff out of sight and safe from elements.
