About Reed Fitkin
The owner (who also resides in Oregon) is from Hawaii. Though growing up on Oahu, he found the 'Big Island' (Hawaii) to be his favorite island- far away from the madening crowds and comprised of a wide range of topographical features providing numerous opportunites for outdoor enjoyment.
Reed Fitkin purchased this House in 2001
Why Reed Fitkin chose Francolin Place
I have been coming to this island since childhood; love the beaches, scuba and playing golf on a beautiful course at affordable rates. The community is friendly with a retail center to accomodate one's need within walking distance.

Fabulous home in Paradise
Reed and Noje, thanks for the use of your home. It was perfect for the Taylor’s celebrating their 60th Wedding Anniversary. Your home was exactly as advertised and then some. When we needed something, it was there. The location was perfect. Very quiet neighborhood with a very nice of the golf course in the back. This home could not have any better, it was perfect.

Wonderful property, terrific location.
Felt like home. Very comfortable, quiet, and a great central location. The owner, and property manager were incredibly helpful. We had a problem with the refrigerator. The problem was accessed the same day, and a part was replaced within two days. The owner has a back up refrigerator in the garage. When in Hawaii can you get a part, and have something repaired so fast? Beautiful view of the golf course, saw a 14 year old girl get a hole in one from the men’s tee. Quiet cul de sac location. Beautiful lanai that we spent a lot of time on. We have been going to the Hawaiian Islands for the past 20 plus years, and this is by far the nicest property. We will definitely be back. Thank you Ried.
We stayed at Reed and Noje home for 8 Days. It was just as advertised. It was very clean, well organised, well equipped with everything you need for your stay. Scott the Property Manager was really helpful when we had any questions. The location of the home was excellent, so peaceful and we were able to get to the beaches and the rest of the Island easily. Thank you, it was a wonderful holiday.
Perfect Vacation Home
We stayed in the Francolin Place house for the entire month of July and we loved it! It is a beautiful and well -maintained home only a few miles away from some great beaches. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived, and it has all the essentials you could need for a wonderful stay. The kitchen has all the dishes and equipment, the garage is stocked with beach chairs, umbrellas, boogie boards, etc. Each bedroom has its own bathroom and all the beds are super comfy! The home only has A/C in one bedroom, but with all the huge sliding doors with screens you don't even need it. The porch is huge and has a wonderful view of the golf course, you even get some wild turkeys that walk the golf course early in the morning. Overall it is an incredible place to stay and we would book it again in a heartbeat! The owner, Reed, is super helpful with booking etc. and his on-site property manager Scott is just a few blocks away if you need anything at all.
Thank you Keith. I hope we can find your wife's bracelet.
Lovely home, lovely views, lovely hosts - Great location
Thank you Reed and Noje. We enjoyed our stay in your lovely home. The house was as advertised, roomy, well furnished and with a fully stocked kitchen. With three bedrooms and three bathrooms there is plenty of privacy and space. The lanai was comfortable, cool and provided nice views of the golf course, Hualalai, sunsets and of course stars. Having come in December we were treated with snow on both Mauna Kea and Mauna Loa. The house is situated nicely for getting everywhere - beaches, resorts, Waimea, Kona, airport are all short drives. The close by Waikoloa market is a full grocery with a great selection of deli, meats and bakery. Families or couples will find this a comfortable home that is clean and with plenty of extras including beach toys/chairs, wifi, choices in TV entertainment, laundry and quiet neighbors!
We had a near daily parade of turkeys. The males really strutted with their feathers fully raised and their chests puffed out. Their quiet calls of gobble in the early evening and morning reminded us of the old Walton's episode - "Good night John boy, Good night Mary Ellen," etc. The pairs of nene on the golf course were also fascinating.
We look forward to our much longer stay next summer! We can't ask for better hosts! Mahalo Nui.
Family holiday home
My family and I spent a week at Waikoloa and found the house to be just as we anticipated from the photos and description. The house was clean and well maintained with everything we needed. There is a generous amount of living space for a large family to spread out .Reed provided clear instructions on how to operate all features of the house with additional information on local places of interests, restaurants and facilities. All our enquiries were answered promptly so I would not hesitate in recommending this property to friends or family. With a car, Waikoloa was a convenient base for us to explore all parts of the island of Hawaii.
We will remember this as one of our best family holidays.
