The Cabin was built in 1813 from hand-hewn chestnut, hickory, oak and poplar logs harvested onsite. Magnificently restored and updated through the years, the interior features heart pine floors reclaimed from a local barn and custom cabinetry made from nine different species of wood by a former owner, who was a master cabinetmaker and wood artisan. The combination kitchen and dining area can comfortably seat up to ten for meals. There are two large bedrooms and two full baths. The living room includes a queen-sized pullout sofa. Guests can also relax with a book or drink in the rocking chairs on the front porch or on the comfortable screened-in back porch. New as of 2013 is Miller's Pavilion-- a 500-square-foot addition to the Cabin featuring local stonework, antique barn wood and an outdoor fireplace, including a sitting area and dining table for eight-- a perfect place to relax and enjoy the surroundings.
The Barn is the former owner’s cabinetmaking shop that has been converted into a 2000 square foot game room. There is also a bedroom with a queen-sized bed and a full bath. The game room contains a bar area, a chestnut farm table that seats ten, a home theatre area with comfortable leather furniture, as well as billiards, ping pong, shuffleboard, air hockey, foosball, darts, backgammon, and more fun activities. The maple floor is reclaimed from the old basketball court at a local high school. The ash mantle comes from a tree once owned by George Washington.
Scott’s Addition is a rustic one-room cabin that provides ultimate privacy.
