CEDAR POINT FARM - Formerly managed by River Bluff Cabins
Why Owner chose Rileyville
Local people often book this home as a true "find" in this area. It is quiet and has one of the nicest river spots to relax on the Shenandoah for a quick dip, fishing or just relaxing. Come see why folks who know the area, return year after year.

Great place for a honeymoon. We have 9 children so this secluded, peaceful retreat was perfect. Private, but close enough to activities when we wanted to do something. (Luray Caverns, horseback riding, dining)
Much needed away time
We were very happy with the farmhouse we rented. We really needed the time away, and this was good for our family. Family time is so important! The mountains were gorgeous, and sittinging outside or on the front porch, you could stare at them for hours. We had a beautiful fire in the firepit, and the hot tub was very relaxing. Loved reading the journals (5) from past renters and the great times they had and how they come back every year. So glad we went here.
So glad you could co e and enjoy the mountains and river and reconnect with family!!!come back any time!
Loved the place, which needs some upgrades
We spent a late September weekend here. The house is totally secluded and overlooks a field and woods with a 3 minute path that takes you to the river. The mountains face the house over the river valley, giving you a beautiful view. The porch is large and perfect for sitting and watching sunsets.
The house has two big living rooms and a large kitchen/ dinging area. Water is good. Beds in the two bedrooms are comfortable.
The owner, who seems quite nice, could make things nicer for guests by spending $20 on a new coffee maker; hers is mostly clogged and dying. And since there is no cell service, WiFi becomes important and her router is weak; new router or a booster would help, since the internet is the only way to contact her from the house.
Updated instructions for appliances and the hot tub would also help. The instructions in the house are out of date. The hot tub is nice but instructions should tell you how to set the temperature; they don't. There are other appliances that need a small instruction sheet too. An hour spent updating these would be well worth it for guests.
Still this is a really nice cabin and we would like to come back, and even bring more family.
Thanks so much for your review. We hope folks will contact us if there are any concerns. The phone on the wall helps folks make local calls as well. We hope you enjoy a beautiful Fall. It is breathtaking as each season holds something special. Best, Nina
Great stay at this property
So glad you got to enjoy what feels like the summer here! Fall is just around the corner! Best to you, NIna
We have stayed at Cedar point every summer for over 10 years. It is always the perfect place to disconnect and relax. The property has easy river access for fishing, swimming, picnics. Sunsets are perfect. Thank you Nina for sharing your home with us!
Magical as always !!!
3rd year in a row at the Farmhouse , and many more to come , it’s become our family’s oasis to recharge the batteries and reconnect as we are in a very hectic season of life with 2 daughters finishing up high school , starting college , and starting to work and all that comes along with growing up ... Some times we are like ships passing in the night at home but again NOT HERE !!! Something so special about floating the river , morning coffee walks on the property , just sitting in the ri we in chairs , and crawfish hunting with my girls like we did when they were younger , this place is really good for our Souls ! The week we come every summer happens to be my birthday week and this year was awesome , my wife and girls took me on the canaopy tour at the state park and got me my very own GoPro to document it as it’s on my conquer my irrational fear of heights bucket list (next month I’m skydiving so the GoPro will come in very handy) keep in mind a year ago I wouldn’t climb a 6’ step ladder . Enough of my rambling , rent this place , we plan to come back year after year and as our family grows we will rent both places on the property to accommodate grandkids and spouses . Also ... the 1st year we stayed in Starview and it sparked our love of the property and is every bit as great we just love the character and charm of the Farmhouse ! You won’t be disappointed, owners are fantastic, though we’ve never really needed to contact them with the exemption of booking and dates and such . Have fun , thank me later !
Glad you could return. Hope you had a great summer!
