Everything we needed
Though our view of the water was obstructed by a new home being built, we really enjoyed the location. Laurie (the owner) is really nice and a hard worker.
Lovely place to stay.
The cottage was perfect! Very clean, well-kept property, perfect location. Gorgeous view of the ocean across the street. Laurie, the owner, is wonderful to deal with and makes sure the cottage has basic essentials. Overall, my family loved it there and we look forward to returning.
Cozy cottage steps from the ocean
My family rented this cottage for two nights and had a wonderful experience. The cottage is clean, cozy, and comfortable, and my daughter loved sleeping in the loft. There is a nice grassy communal space with a picnic table and chairs on one side of the cottage, and the other has a convenient place to park. Laurie was extremely accommodating, and when we arrived there was a nice basket of goodies for us to enjoy. The location is convenient for any outdoor enthusiast: there is a beach you can launch kayaks from within a five minute walk, the road is gorgeous for running and biking, and we could walk to town in 25 minutes via a beautiful public footpath. We didn't want to leave! We hope to come back again soon.
My family and I recently stayed overnight. It was a last minute trip right after Memorial Day. Laura met us and she let us into the cottage. She was friendly and informative. We were the only ones there for the night.
The cottages are small, clean and functional. She provides nice toiletries. The bathroom is small but nicely updated. Our cottage had a small deck in the back where we were able to enjoy while our small dogs played in the yard. The other cottages share the yard so it may be more crowded when they are all in use. I also think it might be a nice for a family reunion since the cottages share the yard.
It is about one mile to town. We took the scenic footpath down to Bearskin Neck and the walked back on the road. There are some beautiful large homes and gardens to admire on the walk. In the morning, I enjoyed walking across the road to see the ocean.
Overall, a nice stay. We loved that it was dog-friendly, by the ocean and close to everything. I would consider again if traveling back to Rockport area.
Cute, quiet, comfy cottage perfect for 4 adults
Cottage was cute and clean, there were snacks and beverages waiting for us, close to bearskin neck. The beds were very comfortable. Would definitely stay here again
Beautiful spot relaxing and I felt very welcome mean thanks Velvet
Beautiful relaxing and I felt very welcome
Rockport is at the tip of CapeAnn. There are beautiful beaches, fishing, boating, kayaking. The shore line is a great place to walk and bike, take photos of the awesome scenery. There is a large artist community and a great summer music season series beginning in June. Rockport, though a small tourist and fishing village, has all the ammenities needed and is also within 10 miles of larger Gloucester and the rest of CapeAnn.
