The owners are super easy to work with and kept the townhouse very well maintained! The location is perfect! We walked everywhere and it takes no time to walk to Sams Corner, the Pier, and bars in the area. Couple of steps and your feet are in the sand. We watched the sunrise from the master bedroom’s private balcony and enjoyed people watching from the living rooms balcony. I highly recommend renting from these owners!
Fantastic location with ocean and inlet views
Fantastic location, about 1 mile from garden city peir. Close enough for a short drive and far enough away that the road is not too busy. Beach access right across from the home and literally a few steps to the beach. Home was clean although the furniture is a little outdated with some stains. Would go back for sure!
Perfect week at the beach
Great location....Property is well maintained and our dogs loved the safety of the patio views, too! The beach allows dogs to be on lease except between 10 am and 5 pm. This was perfect for morning runs before the heat of the day kicked in. Would recommend to anyone wanting to see beautiful SC. Donna is the best!
Decent, but some things to be aware of
Pros: steps away from beach, hose in garage to rinse off feet and dog, dog friendly, keypad entry made coming and going easy, nice balcony, free wi-fi
Cons: needs some major updating and cleaning. For example, dirty/moldy ceiling vent in one of the bedrooms from water damage, wallpaper severely peeling in bathroom and shower drain in one of the bathrooms doesn't actually drain. Can't speak for the other rooms, but queen size mattress seemed about 30 years old. Extremely hard to get ahold of owner throughout entire booking process; it's not hard to provide good customer service but this was sorely lacking. During our stay, an intruder let himself into our garage and said he was looking for the owner. If this was an arranged meeting, a heads up would have been nice. But the owner never showed up or responded to my message asking about that, so we were left wondering if the guy simply remembered/guessed the laughingly easy and predictable garage and security code and was letting himself in on the chance that we might not have been there (we were and confronted him immediately). A response from the owner about this issue while we were worried about it would have been nice. We also were not given nearly enough toilet paper, dishwater soap, or garbage bags and had to go buy these items almost immediately into our week stay. If that's what they expect you to do, fine, but a list of things that are not provided would have been nice. Also this might not be the owner's fault, but recycling services or instructions would have been nice. We threw away a ton of plastic, something we do not do at home.
Overall, it was a decent place to stay if you are not super picky and want to be close to the beach and bring your dog.
I can't say enough about the location of this townhouse...Literally feet from the beach! We had beautiful views from the balcony, just as the description said. It was very close to everything in Garden City. The property was well maintained. And, we were able to bring our four-legged family member with us! I would definitely recommend this property to a friend, as I would stay here again myself.
Winter month stay at the Beach
We rented this ocean front unit with our two dogs for the month of February. The unit was very clean/immaculate, well appointed/maintained, ample kitchen utensils/appliances, comfortable beds and an ocean view from EVERY room. The half bath off the Living room was great as there were 2 flights of steps to get to the bedroom level. Donna was very responsive the few times needed to contact her and resolved the issue promptly.
The 2 car enclosed garage was an added bonus. Grilling was an extra bonus as the location is less than 2 miles to Kroger grocery, Walgreens drug store and many restaurants. While the weather wasn't ideal, it was at least 15-20 degrees warmer than home in Maryland.
We had a wonderful, delightful time with family and friends in an ideal location and the dogs were also very happy .
This unit is 1 block from the Garden City Pier with live music, restaurants, arcade, ice cream shop, shopping, fireworks almost every night. All the activities of Myrtle Beach are only 10 miles or less away. Nearby you will find Botanical Garden tours, Surfside Flea Market every weekend, Myrtle Beach State Park to visit and see exciting wildlife, and Murrells Inlet with its Restaurant Row is only a few minutes away.
