Saida Towers is a Beautifully landscaped gated property on the beach including 3 pools (one heated) and hot tubs, Children’s pool, 4 tennis courts, shuffle board, snack bar and bar area by main pool, and plenty of grass area for the kids to play. Direct beach access with chair rentals available. Saida Towers is located on the south end of South Padres Island near the Causeway, close to shopping.

This is the fifth floor corner unit closest to the beach in Saida IV. It has an extra large balcony with a gas grill, patio table and chairs, and two lounge chairs. Being a corner unit there are additional windows and views from the bedrooms. All rooms have water views to the Gulf or to the Bay.

Upscale finishes include granite counters throughout, stainless steel appliances, and beautiful tile in the common area. There is a fully equipped kitchen, 4 bar stools, and a dining room table with 6 chairs as well as stunning abstract artwork. The family room includes a built-in wet bar, ceiling fan, and a beautiful sectional sofa with two chairs as well as a 40” LCD TV with DVD player.

The master bedroom includes a pillow-top King size bed, 27” LCD TV with DVD, ceiling fan, and a great beach view. The 2nd bedroom includes a pillow-top queen and twin size beds as well as a TV with DVD player with views of the beach and the bay. New Hardwood Floors in Bedrooms!!!

Good place

Nice place for the price. We usually do our beach trips in Port A, but never been to South Padre. Without knowing the area this place had a great beach and close to restaurants. The condo was clean, beds were about the same standard you would get at a hotel. Kitchen was well stocked, we had everything we needed. Very pleased with the room and would recommend it to others.

Great location, secure, and easy to get to. Loved it!

We had an absolute great vacation at the property. First we came in to a very clean, upgraded unit with a beautiful view of the ocean. The facility is gated with friendly security around 24/7. Walking distance to several great restaurants and ice cream shops. The pools were refreshing after a full day at the beach. Bring your shade and sunscreen!

Best of Saida

We have stayed on South Padre many times at various condo places. Saida is our favorite because the grounds are so meticulously maintained. It has 3 very nice pools and excellent tennis courts. Saida also has two nicely kept up boardwalks to the beach. Scott's condo at Saida is the best we have found and will definitely rent it again. It is at the beach side end of Saida IV, which means it has the best view of the ocean. We have a son in a wheelchair, to which we fitted bouncy "beach wheels" making it a bit wide. This condo has a double door entry which made it very accessible for the chair. Inside, the unit has a higher end fit out, with nice tile floors in the main areas and wood floors in the bedrooms. The kitchen has stainless appliances and nice marble countertops. It has nice dishes, silver, knives, etc. We had a great time.

Spacious 5th floor corner unit & balcony, nice furnishings, fabulous views, Saida -great complex!

5th floor corner unit right by the stairs. Elevator was also convenient as well as carts to load and unload. Easy beach access. Nice big grill on nice BIG balcony with great view overlooking swimming pools, tennis courts, and ocean. Nice balcony furniture – table/4 chairs, lounges (2) and regular chairs (2).

The unit is quite spacious – much bigger and nicer than photos depict. (and more natural light than photos.) Furniture and appliances are well maintained; in very good shape. Kitchen is well-stocked with utensils, dishes, glasses, pots, pans, even coffee filters, & sugar. (Also had hot pads & couple of kitchen towels.)

Nice beds and sheets (Someone’s earlier review in 2014 is no longer applicable though we came prepared with our own sheets if needed!) All plumbing worked well except master tub was alittle slow to drain.

Disappointments include:

Internet – not one for the unit itself – have to use the one for the entire complex. Good luck. We could never get it to connect – too much traffic? We found some other unsecured connections in the building but those were slow.

TV in living room is color but when use DVD, it is black & white!! No kidding. Two talented adult men worked hard to find a solution but couldn’t. No remote for the DVD.

No remote for the DVD in 2nd bedroom and TV reception is terrible.

No remote for the master bedroom TV and TV was stuck on Spanish station.

No utensils for the BBQ grill so bring your own for cooking (if you like them long) and a wire brush for cleaning. (We had to buy them in town at the grocery store – and didn’t leave them.) Note: Center burners on grill don’t light automatically.

Air flow in 2nd bedroom was poor – it was quite warm in there with the door closed so left it open which helped alittle. No ceiling fan – bring a floor fan! Rest of unit was quite comfortable.

A few light bulbs were burned out (no replacements) – and some light switches are a bit tricky in how they control lamps & fixtures.

As for swimming pools – rather small, crowded, and water temp too warm. Skip the pools and head to the beach or the tennis courts! (We brought our own rackets & balls.)

Host (Scott) was very responsive by email before we arrived and by text after we got there. Tried to help us with internet suggestions.

Definitely recommend this property and particularly this unit and host.

Suggestion for restaurant not on the beaten list: Cafe Kranzler (awesome menu and food, beautiful atmosphere, great staff)

Owner's Response: Thanks for the positive response. I am actually at the condo now so to address some of the concerns highlighted...... BBQ Utensils are in the kitchen. They were in the drawer under the stove so probably hard to find. They are back in the normal utensil drawer. The wifi does work (using it to write this message). It is a community email so maybe it was overloaded. This fall the building is moving to a contract with TWC and the entire building will be re-wired. Our unit will have its own wifi connection which should be much faster and reliable. Digital TV will then also be available. The DVD player is working fine. Rented a couple of movies from RedBox last night with the kids. Light bulbs are replaced.

The place was nice but the beds and bedding were shabby! Also, both toilets ran the entire stay!

We booked our 4 night stay here after a recommendation from a friend. We were pleased with the size of the place, the flooring, the kitchen and the view was excellent. However, we found little to be desired when it came to the beds. The Master suite's bed was rickety and the bedding was shabby. Our kids room was the worst... Had I known the bedding/pillows hadn't been replaced in a decade (pilly and gross), I would have brought my own. Also, both of the toilets ran all day and night flushing randomly throughout our stay. In addition, the outdoor furniture was gross and unkempt - we had to go out and buy our own chairs during our stay to enjoy the balcony's view. At this price point, I would have expected better furnishings, properly running plumbing and decent outdoor furniture. I'm not sure we will book this place again until the owner can ensure these things have been addressed.

Owner's Response: We are sorry to hear that their stay was not optimal. We encourage renters to let us know right away of any issues so we can address timely. Plumbing issues were already fixed. Patio chairs are being replaced this month and bedding as well.

fantastic location

The condo was in an ideal location. Walking distance to the beach with direct access. The furniture was nicer than ones I've seen online that were outdated. This place was modern. Amazing views. Overall a nice place to stay, however there were some areas that could be improved. Cooking utinsels were old (pots, pans, spatula melted a little), saw a couple of ants, floor was a little dirty (I had to wipe it down because my kids like to run around w/o shoes and the bottoms of their feet were black), we ran out of toilet paper (only had partials rolls and 1extra- cheaper kind that didnt have much paper), drain in the master was a little clogged and so was one of the sinks ( we used the other bathoom for showers). But qgain , overall it was a good place jusy little issues that we easily overcame. We had a great time.
