Guestbook comments from the owner

The apartment was pretty much as described and, if anything, a little bigger than I was expecting. The high ceilings and generous layout gives a good feeling of space and luxury. The apartment was nicely decorated, well furnished and well equipped with plenty of bedding and towels. For a commercial let, the kitchen was reasonably well stocked. The bathroom was clean and compact. Some more toiletries would, perhaps, have been welcome. The apartment is in a great street in a great location. Overall, a very good stay.

Exactly as advertised

I loved this apartment. The purpose of my trip was to attend open houses at BU and Northeastern with my son. We were walking distance to both schools, so the location was perfect. This apartment was very comfortable for the two of us- he on the fold out couch and me in the bedroom. The apartment is clean and has a nice layout. Beds and sheets are very comfortable. The upstairs neighbors were a bit loud - not sure if they were moving furniture at 2 am Thursday night. I just turned on the fan and the white noise drowned them out. I would definitely stay here again.

Roomy ,comfortable and quiet

  • 4 of 5

This appt furnished with everything you may need very comfortable. The bathroom could use a update, very small, with a black toilet , and small sink were not good looking. It is not very close to transportation or restaurants. The place was very well cleaned. Little tricky to take the trash out

Owner's Response: We are perplexed at this review. The bathroom has fairly new toilet and sink. It is black to match some black tiles. Guests find it adequate in size. There are restaurants along Mass Ave, in less than a block. Newbury St, with its posh shops and many restaurants is 3 blocks away. The metro is 3 blocks away. Nightly guests do not have to take the trash out unless they are there many days and prefer to remove it. It is simple to tie up the bag and take it to the back parking area just off the patio on two specific days. This is a lovely Victorian home in a residential area. It is not a hotel so it is for those who enjoy a more independent style of travel. Marie

Great location

The location can't be beat. We walked 25-30 thousand steps a day. Food. Coffee shops and nice shopping really close by. The apt was clean and well stocked. The only negative is the master bed mattress is really soft.

Owner's Response: Perhaps this guest has a very firm mattress at home or is mixing us up with another accommodation. This mattress s 2 years old, firm and very high quality. Marie

Very good!

  • 5 of 5

I stayed for two weeks in the apartment.

I’m very satisfied with the room, the location, the quick response of the property manager and so on. The only thing I don’t like is the coffee maker......the note said soon after we finish dripping coffee, we had to turn off the machine....this means we were not allowed to keep the coffee warm......I hope they buy a new coffee maker soon.

I’d like to stay there again if I have a chance to visit Boston! Thank you!

Owner's Response: We are glad the guests enjoyed the apartment. We ask that the coffee maker turn off after making it for 3 reasons. One is that you it a fire hazard if left on. Another is that coffee tastes terrible if left on a warmer and the 3rd is it uses a lot of energy. We are environmentally conscious. We have a thermos to pour the coffee into to keep it warm. Marie

Nice apartment in a good location.

  • 4 of 5

We were visiting Boston for the first time and had a great time. We primarily wanted to see a ballgame at Fenway, tour the ballpark and see the historic sites of Boston. Our stay was 5 nights in the middle of September. The location of this nice clean apartment could not have been better for our needs. We walked to Fenway (20 minutes), there is a stop for the T which is easy to navigate and will take you to a variety of locales within the city about 8 minutes away, and it is very possible to walk to Boston Common if you are up for a longer trek (20+ minutes).

I really liked the nice list of local restaurants and directions to the Trader Joe's nearby. We ate at the Corner Tavern twice because it was so convenient and were very happy with the quality of the food at this little neighborhood joint. We mainly used the kitchen for breakfast and found it very sufficient and well kept. A couple of the water glasses were chipped or cracked but no big deal. There is a nice small gas stove, toaster, coffee maker and a very nice teapot that really keeps your tea hot. The dishwasher was great because let's face it...who wants to do dishes on vacation?

The neighborhood felt very comfortable and safe. Quiet at night too.

The bathroom is a bit on the smaller side in an apartment of this vintage. Just something to be aware of if you're used to a large one. Definitely not a big issue for us.

We would rent this place again or recommend it to friends who want to visit Boston.
