Why Fernanda chose Historic Center

Casa Sauto is a historical building with more than 400 years of history. Hernán Cortés was the first owner of the land givinig it away as a gift to one of his best Captains, called García Holguín. Throughout the years Casa Sauto has been owned by priests, writers, printers, businessmen, jewlers and so on. The building has been perfectly restored mixing modern and historical items, all though most of the architecture is original. The stones you will se on the walls where actually from Tenochtitlán pyramids during the aztec empire. One of our most intresting facts is that The Declaration of Independence of Mexico was printed in Casa Sauto in 1821. Also the first Rolex ever sold in Mexico was sold in Casa Sauto in 1907.
