We also manage other units at Honua Kai, but we own this one with our family.

This is one of the larger end units at Honua Kai. The ones with the huge lanai with the built in kitchen and Viking gas BBQ. The smaller 3 bedrooms are very nice, but not like this.

We'll greet you at your car and, explain how parking works, and we'll tell you where things are located at the Resort and show you to your room, we'll give you a brief tour of the suite and actually hand you your keys in person. Reminding you that 'our home is your home' and letting you know if you ever need anything, just call or text us. For us, it's about welcoming you to Maui or welcoming you back to Maui, whether it's your first trip or just another trip to Maui, we want to make it as special as it can be.

With us you get us, we have no employees or 'managers'. If you like dealing with hands on owners please give us a call, and if you end up not renting with us, we can at least get you going in the right direction.

We offer the following:

-With us you get actual pictures of the unit and the actual view from the unit.(no zooming)

-Free Internet

-Free Local and Long Distance Phone Calls to the U.S. and Canada.

-No worrying about when when the maid service is going to interupt your day.

-We personally inspect the unit prior to arrivals.

-Use of swimming pool, exercise room, concierge service, bell and valet service, activities center. We also provide beach chairs, beach toys and towels and binoculars.

-Charge all resort costs on your credit card.

-Our Complimentary Aloha Welcome Package includes a bottle of chilled champagne, a bag of 100% Maui Grown Coffee, a box of Hawaiian chocolates, AVEDA Shampoo, Soaps, beach towels/chairs, and local magazines.

-We live 5 minutes from the resort and we are on property just about everyday. We take your stay personally, so anything that comes up, we will be there.

We want you happy and we want you back!

-We are fortunate to 'Live Aloha' everyday and our goal is for our guests to 'Live Aloha' while they are our guests.

This unit is front and center with panoramic ocean views from Lanaia to Molokai. Located on the 3rd floor this 2290 sq. ft. residence has a 560 sq. ft. lanai with a Viking gas BBQ. Of the 3 bedrooms, 2 are master suites.

-9 ft ceilings.

-Stained solid core wood paneled entry door.

-Louvered interior doors.

-Wood baseboards, window trim and door casings throughout.

-Stone flooring throughout living and dining area, as well as entry, kitchen and bathrooms.

-Entertainment kitchen design with Viking appliances including gas cooktop, 2 ovens and 1 full sink and 1 entertainment sink.

-Granite slab countertops in kitchen with full height tile backsplash and under cabinet lighting.

-Granite countertops in bathroom.

-Luxurious Master bath with frameless glass shower enclosures.

-Crown Moulding in the living area.

-Ceiling fan in living area, as well as, air conditioning

-Large custom glass doors to lanai to maximize views and natural light.

-Bosch Washer and Dryer in the unit.

Check In 4pm Check Out 11am.

Parking free for 2018. Subject to change.

We will accommodate early check-in or late check out when the schedule allows. We understand that many flights arrive late morning and that many flights depart late at night. We were regulars on that red eye to SFO, and the ride home just got too depressing so we moved here.

About Joe Devane


I've been coming to Maui for 45 years and I am an original Kaanapali Alii owner. I bought this Honua Kai unit because there is nothing like it in Maui. While my heart will always be at the Alii, my head is with Honua Kai. My daughter and husband manage my unit and they lives just up the street from the Resort. Mahalo Anita

Perfect Vacation and Perfect Place to Stay

Everything about our vacation to Maui was exceptional. This condo worked perfectly for our family. The location is great and the resort is wonderful. Snorkeling Right at the resort to see turtles, fish & beautiful coral. Duke’s was really good too. The condo has great amenities, kitchen stuff and an incredible view. Everything is perfect and Joe was wonderful to work with!

Location location location!

Our family of 8 stayed for 12 days at Honua Kai in unit 351 and had a fabulous time! This resort is situated in a perfect location...on a gorgeous beach, has a boardwalk right in front that takes you to Kaanapali/Whalers Village (about a 35 min walk) and the resort is very well maintained...the pools and the water slide was loved by the grandchildren.

We loved unit 351! It was spacious, the view was spectacular over the two pools and the beach/ocean, truly a piece of Hawaiian paradise. Joe was excellent to work with, he was there on day one to greet us all with an aloha welcome and to go over the unit and any questions or issues that we had he was very quick to answer. You can not go wrong with staying here!

Perfect vacation rental

We loved our stay here. We were welcomed with chocolates, coffee, and champagne. The unit was clean and well stocked with everything you can think of. The three bedrooms were spacious and accommodated 7 adults, 20 month old, and 3 month old. We were able to put the crib in the walk in closet, since our toddler sleeps alone. Evenings spent on the lanai watching the sunset was so picturesque. The amenities the resort offers were perfect for our kiddos. Joe was quick to respond to any questions during our stay. We will definitely stay here again when visiting Maui!

Had a fantastic stay!

We were scheduled to stay in another VRBO, but at the last minute it suffered a water leak. The owner called us and explained he had made other arrangements for our stay while they worked to fix the water leak. The unexpected stay was at this condo. It was amazing!! We completely changed our dining plans to take advantage to beautiful views and ate on the lanai every evening and every morning. The bedrooms were spacious and well appointed. The bathrooms were luxurious and the master bathroom was also beyond luxurious. The one thing that I was a little worried about was the noise at night from the pool below. Once you closed the glass doors/wall it cut out every sound. It was as quiet as a church once those doors were closed. The AC worked great! The amenities were fantastic! The appliances were all top of the line! I have run out of adjectives! This rental is worth every penny.
