If you’ve come this far in our listing, you’re probably already familiar with Oceanwalk Condominiums in New Smyrna Beach. If you take a few minutes to read on, I believe that you will make up your mind about our place quickly. If you don’t like what you see, please hit the back button and look at the others – there are plenty to choose from.

Why rent from us? Sunrise...Sunset!

First, the view from the unit is fantastic. The condo is the center unit on the 5th floor of Building 5. There are no other buildings in sight. Awakening in the Master Bedroom, your first sight is an unimpeded view of palms, grasses and other flora that stretch out below you to the horizon. Sunrises light up the carpet as the egrets, herons, bald eagles and other birds start their own morning routines. Sunsets draw your attention upward to the color show that nature puts on each evening – sitting on the screened balcony watching the end of day with a glass of good wine brings on the best of spirits and humor in our group every night. We keep a table and chairs out on the balcony for sunset dinners when the temperature is right. The view is what sold us on this particular unit and it is, without doubt, one of the very best in all of Oceanwalk. The 1700+ square foot layout of our unit can be found on the Oceanwalk website.

Second, we are the second owners of our unit. The previous owner was a single gentleman who collected antiques. The condominium has been very well cared for and gently treated since construction in 2002.

Third, our building association is caring and vigilant about problem solving and flexible in working with owners and with renters. Each building has a slate of people who volunteer their time to maintain the building and grounds. Also, we have a management organization on site that can respond quickly to needs or issues that come up. When and if things don’t go as planned, support is close, quick and courteous.

New Smyrna Beach was selected as one of America’s 100 Best Small Art Towns.

Have a look on Amazon. Local artists offer a wide variety of ceramics, glass arts, jewelry, unique furniture, wood carvings and other creations. Also, some of the best coffee in the world can be had at the Flagler Ave. Coffee and News Cafe (international blends, friendly atmosphere and free wi-fi.) The “Best Burger in the State of Florida” is prepared a few doors up the street and on the beach at Breakers Restaurant. No trip to NSB is complete without a lunch or dinner at JB’s Fish Camp just up the road from our place. Quaint little shops, great dining, friendly service everywhere.

Our Goals as owners:

Our long-range goal is to develop relationships with families, couples and individuals who want to come to New Smyrna Beach every year and stay in our place. We want to reserve our place for those who enjoy it the most, who will care for it and will return for future visits because the living is comfortable and our clients come to love New Smyrna as we do.

We have been coming to NSB for several years with our children who are now university students. We have relatives in the area and we have grown to love New Smyrna. My wife and I always agreed that any inheritance that came our way would go toward a second home for us and our kids as time goes on. This explains how we bought our place at Oceanwalk in June of 2008.

We're glad you're interested. My name is Ted. Both my wife Tina and I are retired teachers from Connecticut. Our two children are young adults who have grown up regularly coming to New Smyrna Beach. We also have other family in central Florida who we visit as often as we can get away.

New Smyrna Beach is a fantastic place. We've been coming to NSB for more than 15 years and the pace of life is perfect for our family. We considered buying directly on the water but the atmosphere, the amenities and the friendliness of the locals at Oceanwalk made the difference for us.

What makes this condo unique

Our unit has a fantastic view; pool or beach at your fingertips; plenty of space for everyone; convenient living with the fully equipped kitchen and washer/dryer; friendly people; great restaurants; unique little shops; other amenities at the complex; the "big stores" are just 10 minutes drive over the bridge.

Our Favorite Vacation

My family and I have been going to New Smyrna Beach every April for 8 years and have stayed at Ted and Tina's condo I think 5 of the 8 years. Their home is lovely and comfortable and has everything we need. The beach, which is a short walk is gorgeous and uncrowded. It's also convenient to the intra-coastal waterway where we love to go kayaking and paddleboarding with the manatees and dolphins. JB's fish camp which is a "can't miss" experience also rent kayaks and paddleboards. Oceanwalk is convenient to lots of fantastic restaurants and if you have kids, Treats on the Beach, which is downtown, is very popular. We love NSB and we love Ted and Tina's condo.

Killer view and great amenities

The condo is well laid out and appointed and feels like "home" with a well equipped kitchen. Everything is well maintained and nicely decorated. The view to the west over the natural area is incredible and its hard to leave the balcony. It was our special spot for a morning cup of tea, a meal or a glass of wine watching the sunset. I am imagining being there right now! The complex has two swimming pools, exercise rooms, a movie room, tennis courts, a bocce court and kayaks. The beach is a short walk and is squeaky clean and full of shells and birds. A sort drive to the south (without any traffic lights!) is the Canaveral National Seashore with the longest stretch of undeveloped beach on the Eastern Seaboard. It is pure heaven. The hosts were very responsive and anticipated our needs. Oh, JB's Fish Camp is on the lagoon on the way to the the seashore and worth a visit for a meal. NSB has lots of great food options. For breakfast, we loved the Wake Up Cafe and had a very special dinner at the Spanish River Grill. Back over the causeway we had tasty beer at New Smyrna Beach Brewing while we ate a delicious sandwich we picked up nearby at Yellow Dog Eats. There is so much to do in the area and the condo is a perfect location.

Excellent Accommodations and Assistance from Owner

I planned this get away for my daughter and grandson, she is a single mother and was working on her thesis for her masters. We needed a place where she would be able to relax and work on her thesis and also be able to take care of her son and enjoy the weather. The owners Ted and Tina were very accommodating to the point where Ted made arrangements to get me the keys as we didn't have time to mail them to me in Canada. Well what else can I say they made it very easy for us to get to the place and enjoy the area to the utmost. The place was very clean, any issues that came up Ted addressed them right away without hesitation.

Additionally the Beach and all amenities are close by so we enjoyed the accommodations, location and the beach every opportunity we had. The beach was very clean and also not very busy allowing us to enjoy it peacefully. My grandson who was less than 2 yrs old really enjoyed the place and the beach.

What else can I say, that we would definitely visit again soon.

Thank you Ted and Tina for making our short vacation an enjoyable one.
