About the property

House, 4 Bedrooms + Other (See Description), 2 Baths, (Sleeps 9-10)

Affordable coastal charm 2 blocks (3 min. walk) to beautiful, uncrowded Keyes Beach at Sea Street. This spacious and spotless traditional Cape home has everything for a perfect getaway for one or two families. The new 2nd floor has 2 queen-sized master bedrooms! One Master B/R is a suite, with an adjoining room with crib, twin sleep-sofa and DVD; it's ideal for the couple who wants privacy, but also wants their very little ones to be close by. The other master B/R is huge, with a Cable TV. Also upstairs is a new luxurious bathroom with oversized shower.

On the main floor are 2 more bedrooms, full bathroom, clean and airy well-stocked kitchen, sunny living room, dining room for 8-10, and comfy sun porch with TV/DVD, reading chair, and games. One 1st floor B/R has 2 twin beds; the other has a set of bunk beds. There's a roomy outdoor shower with separate dressing area to rinse off the sand, a large private backyard (with tables, chairs and grill) in which to play catch, and a detached garage. All linens are provided.

The tangy smell of salt water, the oyster shell driveway, and the aroma of steaks and seafood on the grill remind you that you are on vacation at the beach! Everything about this location and this large, comfortable house is a winner. Hyannis is the perfect mix of old Cape Cod and modern conveniences. The house is on a quiet dead-end residential street that is a 15 min. (3/4 mile) walk to Main Street's restaurants, shops, museums, ferries and other conveniences. Keyes Beach is lovely and uncrowded, with a new bathhouse and ample parking if you need it. It also has the rare benefit of boat traffic in the far distance - sure to enthrall the kids! Ferries, tour craft, fishing (watch the day's catch being off-loaded), and fine dining are just around the bend of the beautiful harbor.

Hyannis is the center of cultural life on Cape Cod - cinemas (including foreign films at the Cape Cod Art Museum), restaurants, summer theater at the Cape Playhouse, antique shops, and art galleries and artist's kiosks are all close-by. Provincetown is less than an hour away.

If you bike, the Cape Cod Rail Trail goes all the way to Nauset and the National Seashore and beyond, through cranberry bogs, along the tide pools and marshes of the Bay, and through 200-year-old towns. Love baseball? The famous Cape Cod Baseball League plays right here in Hyannis, as its players prepare to go to the Majors. If you fish, you have the ocean, lakes, ponds and deep-sea fishing at your fingertips. If you golf, public and private courses abound. Tennis courts, ice skating, hiking, antiquing, horseback riding, whale and seal watching and even science (at Woods Hole and at the amazing Cape Cod Museum of Natural History) are all within a few minutes of your home base. And, if you want to explore other beaches, the Cape offers hundreds of them, each one different and beautiful: the wild ocean, the calmer Long Island Sound, and the fascinating tide pools of Cape Cod Bay.

Regardless of whether you are looking for a calm couple of weeks to read, swim, and hang out with your kids, or a vacation full of activities and culture, the Cape is the place and this house is perfectly situated.

No Pets. No Smoking. Families or adults only (no student groups or party rentals).

About Michele

Welcome to our family's beach house! Our family has been going to the Cape for 35 years . . . we even spent our honeymoon here! Owning this house is a dream come true for us and we know that you and your family will love and enjoy it as much as we do.

Michele purchased this house in 2008

Why Michele chose Cape Cod

We wanted to be close to the beach . . . and close to town . . . and close to the harbor. We are so lucky to have found this house in the loveliest part of Hyannis.

What makes this house unique

Walk Everywhere

This beach house is situated in a quiet neighborhood. Loved the big private backyard and all the amenities....lots of beach towels, boogie boards and any kitchen item you can think of. I walked to town each morning ( less than a mile) to attend exercise classes or shop. Or walked a short distance to the beach. Caretaker was very nice and replaced a non- working air conditioner immediately. Everything was as expected.

Stay in Hyannis

  • 5 of 5

I have rented this home is Hyannis 2 years in a row while in town for a work conference. The home is very comfortable and convenient to both Main Street and beaches. The home has a large backyard and grill which is nice for cooking. I would recommend staying here while in Hyannis as it is much nicer and about the same price as local hotels.

Phenomenal house & location for a fabulous family vacation!

  • 5 of 5

We just had the pleasure of staying in this charming house for a lovely July week. We really loved it! It was absolutely beyond perfect for our family --including our 2 grandchildren ---(3yrs & 21 months.) The house was beautifully decorated and it personified Cape Cod. Everyday we piled our beach stuff in a wagon and took a very short walk down a quiet & friendly street to a beautiful beach. The house was so conveniently located that in the evening we were able to walk into town (Main St.) for dinner and of course, ice cream! A few nights we had a bbq in the lovely backyard. The kids had a ball in the outside shower and running around and playing in the great yard. The house accommodated all of us perfectly--with 4 bedrooms and an extra separate area off one of the large bedrooms with a crib. Our favorite part of the house was a little window outside the kitchen with two steps below. We had the best time with the children playing restaurant! The kids would come to the window and pretend to "order" their food! It was a great game and a perfect way to get them to eat! Michelle couldn't have been sweeter and more accommodating and very organized! She made sure everything was absolutely perfect for our stay---she provided every imaginable item that we may possibly need. I would highly recommend enjoying yourself at this wonderful home away from home!!

Fantastic family fun in delightful setting

  • 5 of 5

We had a great family vacation in this beautifully maintained and decorated house. The house and location were perfect for our extended family gathering. My son and his wife and 2 grandchildren under the age of 6 as well as my daughter and her husband stayed with us. We made dinner in the well equipped kitchen and ate outside in the spacious backyard almost every night as the weather was delightful. The dining room was large enough to seat all of us and then some but we enjoyed the outdoor ambience with the good weather. The grandchildren had a ball playing in the backyard while we had cocktails and dinner. We went to the beach everyday with towels, beach chairs and sand toys provided by the owner. Also enjoyed the proximity to Hyannis shopping and restaurants. Took in a game at the Hyannis Cape Cod League baseball field which was a highlight for some of the crew. It all worked out so well and we look forward to returning soon. The owners were most friendly and responsive to our concerns. I have highly recommended this property to friends and family.

Excellent Value, Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed our stay in this home tucked on a quiet, dead-end street just a short stroll to the beach. As a first time vacation home renter, I was a little leery of what I would actually find when we arrived, but the reviews were excellent and all of my communication with the owners had been fantastic. When we arrived and found the home was exactly as pictured, I was ecstatic and we spent the first 30 minutes exploring every room, finding the most comfortable bed and giggling like school-girls. It was delightful.

With 9 girls in one house, you never know if there will be enough space, but it was perfect. My personal favorite was the sun porch, cozy couch and lots of windows. The kitchen had everything we needed for our stay. All of us enjoyed the 5 minute walk to the beach, literally, it's just 5 minutes.

We loved Hyannis and the place we called home for a week. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone looking for a quiet family getaway or a boisterous trip with girlfriends!
