About the property

Condo, 1 Bedroom, 1 Bath, (Sleeps 2-3)

Enjoy the view from this condo that is nicely appointed with hickory cabinets, in floor heat in the travertine tiled bathroom, leather couch, pull-out bed for junior and a built in desk. Lone Mountain is framed in your living room window. A free ski shuttle bus that stops right across the street almost every 30 minutes takes you for a short ride right to the base of Big Sky Resort in less than 5 minutes . If you wish to drive, the main parking lot is 1 minute away. From there you can access Big Sky Resort and Moonlight Basin, the biggest combined mountain ski resort in the USA. This offers you nearly 5,300 acres of skiable terrain and 4350 uncrowded vertical feet. Between them, the two resorts operate 23 lifts.

This kitchen is well lit with can lights and under-cabinet lighting and fully equipped with modern appliances. A full-sized stacked Maytag washer/dryer will save you having to go 9 miles down to the meadow to do your laundry. For a small fee, you can have access to swimming, hot tubs, and fitness center at the nearby Huntley Lodge. They also have free movies and wireless internet throughout. Recently we have added free WIFI for your convenience.

The Mountain, Moonlight Basin and Meadow Village offer a wide variety of fine dining and activities. The location is very convenient.

The Big Sky area is an incredible place in all seasons. In the winter there is alpine and cross-country skiing, snowboarding, snowshoeing, snowmobiling, and a 'MUST SEE' is Yellowstone National Park by guided snow coach. In the summer this area is well known for its fishing, hiking, rafting/kayaking, horseback riding, biking, golfing, and side trips to nearby Yellowstone National Park. Great shopping, Museum of the Rockies, and other cultural events are found only 50 miles to the north in Bozeman, Montana.

About Mark Gustafson

My wife and I are avid skiers that have skied almost all of our lives and have skied all over the western USA and Canada. We now live in Alaska and have Helicopter and Cat skied in several places as well. Big Sky is our favorite!!!!

Mark Gustafson purchased this condo in 2006

Why Mark Gustafson chose Big Sky

My Wife lived in Montana and loved it. Big Sky has the best skiing anywhere! No lift lines, light powder, No Cascade concrete, No Sierra cement, No Whistler rains, and never any crowds! More oxygen than Colorado ski areas. Who needs a Helicopter?

What makes this condo unique

Close to the lifts yet not to close for peace and quiet. Free shuttle to anywhere at Big Sky 50 feet from front door. Big Sky is the Best Skiing anywhere in the West!

Everything we needed

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I had an incredible stay while skiing for a week in January 2017. The condo was meticulously cleaned and had everything we needed. There are so many great things about this condo. One of them is a great mattress. To me a mattress makes the difference after a few days of skiing and your body needs to recharge! The heated tiles in the bathroom and the boot dryers were very nice added touches! It was easy to drive up to the free parking lots and grab the shuttle to the base lodge. There was not a lot of fuss to get on the hill to ski, which is nice. The condo location is truly in the heart of everything so walking or a short drive is all you need to get around the mountain. We just had a really positive experience and want to share.

Perfect

  • 5 of 5

Stayed here for 10 nights and found it perfect, had all we needed for our ski trip, including a washer/dryer which meant we didn't need to pack as much. The owner (Mark) was fantastic and was so helpful with getting our rental car started during extremely cold weather. The condo was quiet and in warmer weather a nice walk to the base area but not in ski boots!

We drove to the free parking lot each day and took the short shuttle ride to the slopes but did manage to ski back to the car at the end of the day.

Highly recommend the condo and will be back when we next visit Big Sky.

Reasonably priced and close to the mountain

  • 5 of 5

Perfect condo for the two of us for the weekend! Walk next door to the Black Bear to catch the shuttle up to the mountain, or drive 30 seconds to the free lot. We had one little hiccup with the hot water heater (it had been inadvertently turned off by a plumber), but reached the owner straight away and had it back on in no time.

Excellent Condo, Excellent Location, Excellent Vacation

  • 5 of 5

My son, wife and I stayed in this Condo for a recent winter vacation at Big Sky and we loved it! The condo is clean and well maintained, with good access to the mountain. Mark is a generous and gracious host, always willing to help out when needed. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone interested in an affordable vacation at Big Sky, the best ski destination in North America.
