Terrific location in the quieter south end of town Now booking for summer 2019. Also, consider the lovely, less-crowded fall this season with gorgeous weather in store!

Our home is located in the small, family-oriented town of Sea Isle City, NJ. Just steps from the beach, you can walk less than 2 blocks to two delis/convenience stores, an ice cream stand, and a fabulous new seafood restaurant and bar. Off-street parking can accommodate up to 3 cars. From the deck watch the sun rise from the ocean on your right. Then at day's end, relax with a cool drink and watch it set over the bay to your left. Because the street is just one block long and ends at the beach, it is safe for kids ... with no busy streets to cross.

We have WiFi and a great 42' LCD TV in the living room. TV w/ DVD player on each floor of the house.

First floor: 2 bedrooms - one with twin beds and one with a queen bed, full bath, washer & dryer.

Second floor: living room, dining room, kitchen, deck with unobstructed view of the beach

Third floor: master bedroom with queen bed, second bedroom with twin beds, full bath

Fenced back yard: gas grill, outdoor shower, shed for storage of beach chairs, toys and other items, table and chairs, clothesline

Driveway will accommodate two cars.

Ideal for families, our home is located in the quiet southern end of the town in the area known as Townsends Inlet. Just a few blocks to the north is the busier nightlife, many more restaurants and entertainment for all ages, including some of the Jersey shore's famous boardwalks. It is a short 20 minute drive to Atlantic City. To the south, the Wildwoods and lovely Cape May.

We offer only Saturday-to-Saturday full week rentals during the peak summer months of June, July and August. Please contact us for a rate quote as our rates vary by date. We are not able to accommodate requests for rentals to groups, including senior week and college break rentals.

Hazardous receptacles, hanging out of walls. Ants on kitchen counters. Non working outlets in bathrooms. Broken grill. Owner advised me to light with match! Screens ripped or missing. I paid for cleaning so I assume owner has cleaning people....what a joke! Could hardly touch kitchen cabinets...eew! Stained bedspread. ONLY saving grace is 5 houses from the beach!

Owner's Response: Beyond shocked by this tentant's review of our home on VRBO. For someone that I had spoken to by phone more than a dozen times before check-in I can't believe she simply didn't have the ability to call me once she checked in and directly express her concerns if she were truly that disappointed. I am also curious about the length of time it took for her she checked out and returned my key to post the review. This tenant did NOT pay a cleaning fee although the house was thoroughly cleaned both before and after her rental. I personally found a nonworking outlet in the upstairs bathroom but found no evidence of ants, dirty cabinets or "hanging receptacles". I'm not even sure what that means. Also, perhaps is the tenant were to Google "how to light a gas barbecue grill when the ignition switch isn't operating correctly" she would find that the hole in the side of the grill exists for the purpose of lighting the grill with a match. When she contacted me about the grill that also would have been the perfect opportunity for her to relay any other issues she encountered so that I could correct them but she was concerned only about the grill. We don't rent our home to make money. We feel beyond fortunate to have a home in Sea Isle and we rent it only to cover our expenses. We are accustomed to our tenants contacting us immediately, as they are continuously encouraged to, if they find anything amiss and they do so whenever there is an issue. I'd like to think the tenant didn't consider the impact on us and on the ratings for our home when she wrote this. The warm and pleasant person I spoke to on multiple occasions wouldn't have been that intentionally unkind. So, my hope is that she might take this into consideration before she rents another person's property and finds it not to her liking.

needs alot of work

Beds are terrible. Whole property needs remodeling. None of the receptacles worked in bathrooms. All sofas terribly soiled in every room.

The only good thing it is close to the beach.

Owner's Response: We are frankly stunned and saddened by the tenant's characterization of our home. We were contacted at the beginning of their stay about an AC unit. We immediately corrected the issue by installing a brand new unit in less than 24 hours. We encouraged the tenants to reach out if there were any other issues. The tenant stayed for two weeks and never contacted us again to communicate any further issues. We can only address issues that we know about. Following the tenant's departure, our cleaning folks and caretakers did not find any bathroom fixture issues and no soiled upholstery. We work hard to make our home an inviting place for a family vacation. Whenever an issue arises we do everything humanly possible to correct it immediately.

We had a wonderful stay at this Sea Isle City retreat!

The house was the perfect size for our two families to share with two bedrooms on the 3rd floor, two bedrooms on the 1st floor, and common space in the middle. The kitchen is a nice size and had all we needed in dishes, utensils, and cookware to prepare all our meals.

The house is just steps from the beach with no need to cross any streets or dodge any traffic. The only better placement (IMHO) for the house would be beachfront but this is really close to it.

We enjoyed our stay in Sea Isle City and would definitely consider visiting again.

Booking for next year!

24 84th St ‘A’ is a great beach rental. The unit was clean and has modern appliances, including a big refrigerator, washing machine, dryer, stove, dishwasher, and coffee maker. Two bedrooms and a bathroom on the first floor and third floor offer privacy for small groups and family reunions. Outdoor shower in backyard helps keep sand out of the house. Nice new grill for tenants’ use.

Big second-floor deck offers a great view of the ocean and has comfortable patio furniture.

Large living room / dining area nicely furnished and decorated. Good-sized kitchen for home cooking.

The house is just a few blocks away from the beach. My family and I had a great vacation at 24 84th St.

By and large the description is accurate regarding the location, the photos and description accurately represents the appearance of the property except for a specific problem mentioned below. The house was clean except for a specific problem noted below. I liked the location; it was quiet and family friendly. The owner was very prompt in returning the security deposit.

Had 2 issues with the master bedroom and didn't use it except for the first 2 night.

1. The master bedroom A/C was extremely noisy and completely ineffective. I was having a ring in my ear the following day due to the noise. The second night was cool enough to have the windows open. We abandoned the room for the rest of the week.

2. Saw a few bite marks on my 2 year old and upon searching found a bed bug on the dresser. We abandoned the room for the rest of the week. Since we were a small crowd, we could manage with 3 bedrooms.

Owner's Response: We always respond immediately to any issues brought to our attention by our tenants. In this instance, we reached out to this tenant the moment he reported the bug he said he saw. He did not respond to our requests for additional details about the bug he saw so that we could arrange for the appropriate remediation until after he and his family checked out. Following the check-out, a professional inspection was performed and no issues were found. Our tenants who preceded this family as well as our tenants who followed them reported no issues with our home.

Contact us for a weekly rate for summer weeks. Most weeks in July are $2500 per week. Most August weeks are $2800 per week. Rates are subject to change until reservation is confirmed. Rental period is a minimum of 7 days, Saturday to Saturday, from June through August. We rent long weekends in spring and fall, three night minimum.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 50% refund if canceled at least 30 days before arrival date.
  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
