Perfect reunion house!

  • 5 of 5

We used this property for a reunion/26th birthday weekend with 18 friends from high school. It could not have been more perfect. Plenty of beds, perfect location, and it was so cozy that we stayed in the house every night! John is amazing in helping you coordinate details, suggestions for food and activities, he was accessible the whole time we were there and weeks leading up the trip. I hope we will return again next year!

Comfortable Home with Great Location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at this home for a ski trip at Bromley with 3 families, 6 adults & 6 teens. The owner couldn't have been nicer or more accommodating. He gave us info on things to do & local restaurants. The house has scenic views and is in a quiet, private location across from Bromley Ski Mntn and is very convenient to the parking lot.

There are 3 separate sleeping areas. The upstairs has a large Master BR with sitting area which shares a bathroom with a 2nd BR . There is a 3rd BR upstairs and a full bath in the hall. On the first floor there is a second sleeping area with a bedroom (with 2 twin beds) & a full bath located down the hall from the Main Living Room. The 3rd sleeping area is in a wing located several steps up from the foyer. It has a family room (with futon, tv & mini fridge) which you walk thru to a small hallway with 2 BR's, & bathrooms. Our teens loved the privacy of hanging out in their own family room area.

The Living Room is very comfortable with new large leather recliner sofas, a smart tv and large fireplace. There is a large dining table that fit our entire group of 12. The kitchen is small in size but sufficient to cook for a large group. There were lots of pots & pans, cookie sheets, mixing bowls etc. & an extra large toaster oven which was great.

Some of the best features were the comfy living room, kid hang-out family room area, large hot tub, huge wood-burning fireplace and the pretty, secluded wooded property. We would like to return again.

Bromley & Stratton Ski Trip

  • 5 of 5

The house is very large and everyone was comfortable. We had 14 adults stay at the house on our Feb 2009 Ski trip.

The drive way is an incline & some non-4wd vehicles had a difficult time getting up to the house, but this was not fault of driveway snow removal/salting/sanding. Snow removal/salting/sanding was excellent and convenient.

The house is 3 min from Bromley, 15 min from Stratton, 15 min from Magic, and ~40 min from Okemo. You can see Bromley, Stratton and Magic from the living room window on clear days.

The owners are very friendly and accomadating as we had questions during our trip they were always available to help. The house has numerous board games and books to read as well as videos to watch. The hot tub and fireplace were definitely brownie points for the house. Not a single night did we go without lighting a fire and enjoy a dip to rest sore muscles. There is a ping pong table, fooseball and air hockey table down stairs that some in our group used.

The bedroom list on the website was somewhat misleading - UPSTAIRS are BR 1, 2 and 6; BR 1 (queen) is huge and shares a bath with BR 6 (bunk room); BR 6 actually has 2 singles and 2 bunks - but has room for a roll away bed. BR 2 actually has a double and a single. ABOVE GARAGE: BR 3 & 4 (both doubles) with BR 4 having a private bath. The futon room is basically a small family room above the garage without a door, so for large groups this is not the best location for privacy. 1st FLOOR: BR 5 (2 singles) is adjacent to the living room.

The dining room table was able to hold our entire group for nightly dinners. We are unable to comment on local restaurants as there was a fully stocked kitchen in terms of utensils/pots/pans and we had dinner every night at the house. Note - there is no jelly roll pan to bake wings on & recommend bringing your own tupperware/platic bags to store leftovers.

There are two grocery stores within 15 min of the house. There is a local liquor/beer distributor also ~15 min. Also, a convenience, garbage pick up is at the house in front of the garage, no need to drag the can(s) down to the end of the driveway, just make sure you separate out the recycling.

We liked the house and its quaint location and most likely will return for a yearly group trip.
