About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 1 Bath, large porches, adjacent Bunkhouse (Sleeps 6-12)

Conveniently located 15 minutes from downtown Walla Walla, 'Strawberry Canyon Lodge' is part of more than 1,500 acres of private mountain property. The Lodge features three furnished bedrooms, a fully equipped kitchen and living area with large windows so that guests can enjoy the mountain scenery. A washer and dryer are provided for guest usage.

A large porch provides an outdoor living space for relaxing with a good book, having a barbecue or soaking in the the hot tub. Take your morning coffee to the porch, prop your feet up on the rails, smell the fresh air, listen to the creek flow by and say 'isn't life grand'!

With its private location the Lodge is the perfect romantic weekend getaway for two, several couples on a wine tasting weekend, or a great place to take the family for the Holidays or vacation.

For larger groups or families the adjacent Bunkhouse provides additional sleeping for six guests.

We invite our guests to hike the trails around the Lodge. There are gentle hikes beside a stream or choose a more aerobic route that provides awesome scenery.

Private horses are welcome, we have a corral adjacent to the Lodge. Mountain horseback trail rides provide an exceptional opportunity to observe wildlife in its natural habitat and to view and become part of the tranquil environment that is unique to mountain landscapes.

About The Owner

My Great Grandmother homesteaded in this area in 1896 about one mile from Strawberry Canyon Lodge. To prove up on her homestead she developed a small hotel that featured sulfur bathes from a spring that was located on her property. My family has farmed and ranched in the Walla Walla area since that time. Walla Walla has a rich history that I am excited to share with visitors. Modern day life has become so hectic that I love to share the peace and quiet of the mountains. 'Have it all' come and visit our great down town area and then return to the Lodge for a soak in the hot tub, a view of the night sky filled with stars and a very restful night of sleep.

Majical mountain getaway, perfect for an event!

  • 5 of 5

This property was fantastic and for us magical! Seems like it is a world away from a Walla Walla but actually close enough to spend a lazy day browsing shops and tasting wine before returning for a soak in the hot tub. Sheryl, the owner, was amazing. We stayed for a weekend and also hosted a bridal shower brunch for my niece. The deck and lawn made a lovely setting for our event. The Lodge had everything we needed and was so comfortable! The guests who came for the shower were amazed at the beautiful setting. Our shower was suppose to end at 2pm but the setting was just magical and they reluctantly left at 6:30pm! The Bride and Groom loved it so much they are planning to stay for their honeymoon!

Sheryl was so helpful in planning our event, she offered to bring extra items for our use and checked in to make sure we had all that we need.

We all agreed that we will be back next September, bringing our extended family, for a reunion.

Owner's Response: Kate, her sister and their 80+ mother were a delight! They only added to my setting! Sheryl

Wine Trip Getaway

  • 5 of 5

Our stay at Strawberry Canyon Lodge could not have been better. By day we went out wine tasting, and in the afternoon it was back to the lodge for bocci ball, dinner on the grill, and then in the hot tub and star gazing before bed. The lodge was so comfortable, and had everything we needed. Sheryl was the perfect host. Highly recommend to anyone that wants to get away and relax.

Charming cabin on a bubbling stream

  • 5 of 5

At Strawberry Canyon Lodge we found a homey and specious retreat for our family gathering that was tucked far enough away from everything yet close enough to anything we wanted to experience in Walla Walla - and unexpectedly arrived during the Frontier Days fair and rodeo. Our visit was more than a getaway - it was a journey into a gem of the Old West, surrounded with new vintage and warm, welcoming, rugged neighbors. We left refreshed, enchanted with the high plains, thrilled by the long mountain hikes and visited by wild turkeys and bears, knowing we're coming back soon. Thank you for maintaining such a perfect lodge, where every amenity was provided, and every need anticipated.

Perfect Mountain Retreat!

  • 5 of 5

Just finished an amazing weekend at Strawberry Canyon lodge. We were looking to unplug from our busy lives and found the ideal setting. A paradise tucked away in the hills, perfect for privacy and solitude while being close to Walla Walla for anything you might need. The trails behind the lodge lead to spectacular views of the Blue Mountains and surrounding area. The owner is a delightful host and makes sure everything is taken care of – thank you Sheryl! Looking forward to a follow-up visit in the summer. Treat yourself to a relaxing stay at this wonderful lodge!
