About Shari DeNardo

U. S. Recreational Properties is a developer of high quality rustic-styled vacation homes in locations offering great access to a variety of recreational pursuits and is the first to offer fractional ownership opportunities in the Laurel Highlands.

The USREC partnership is comprised of a handful of families who enjoy the outdoors and nature, and who have traveled to Wyoming, Montana, Colorado and Alaska among other exciting destinations. Their appreciation of nature, enthusiasm for the outdoor lifestyle and adventurous recreation inspired them to form USREC, thus to create an opportunity for others to enjoy the same.

Shari DeNardo purchased this house in 2009

Why Shari DeNardo chose Laurel Highlands

The Laurel Highlands caters to the outdoor enthusiast offering a vast array of activities for every type of traveler: those who love the thrill of white water rafting and downhill skiing; those who enjoy fishing and hunting; those who are more conservative in their travels and are interested history, covered bridges and wineries; and, of course, those who gravitate towards resort vacationing, spas and golf courses. It has something for everyone!

What makes this house unique

This property is unique because of its close proximity to resorts and recreation, yet it is nestled among a forest of trees, on a mountaintop that is peaceful, serene and tranquil. It encourages quality time and relaxation. The only noise you hear is the rustling of the trees and the occasional whinny from the horses on the neighboring ranch.

Fun Family Weekend at Sundance

  • 5 of 5

Just sent Sharon a quick not to tell her how much we enjoyed our stay at Sundance. Our party was thrilled with the accommodations and the beauty of the area. Our more adventurous guests enjoyed a day at Seven Springs either tubing or skiing - resort was an easy 15-20 minute drive away. We will certainly look forward to a future visit.

-Kitchen well stocked.

-Floor-Plan was perfect for our 18 guests.

-Home was clean and comfy.

A Great Week AGAIN.

  • 5 of 5

We again had a wonderful week using Sundance and Redwood. With over 30 folks coming and going during the week, all had a great time. And yes, we're coming again next year.

Fantastic house, beautiful and private!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 16 spent several days at Sundance to celebrate our mom's 94th birthday, and we loved it! We used to go to Pine Island, NC, but the trip was becoming too long for our mother. This was the perfect place for us. Only an hour from home, but we had so much time together, enjoying great meals and talking around the fire, we could have been in Montana! The house was spotless and really nicely appointed. Comfortable beds, great furniture, lots of nice detailing (for example, instead of cheap "builder's fixtures," the light fixtures with cut-outs of moose and pine trees gave a really authentic feel) and an extremely private setting helped to create the perfect getaway for us. We had one minor issue in getting the internet to work, and Shari got back to me immediately with the solution. We will be back as a family for sure, and are thinking of a business retreat and going with friends.

Great experience in Redwood and Sundance for family reunion

  • 4 of 5

My husband's large family gets together each summer for a reunion at a different location in the country and these two homes, Redwood and Sundance were perfect for our needs. We were able to sleep and share bathrooms comfortably. The kitchens are well-appointed and we really appreciated the fact that each kitchen has two refrigerators, as we prepare large, family-style evening meals and eat breakfasts onsite. We were fortunate enough to experience great weather during our stay, so we enjoyed meals on the spacious decks everyday. The homes were clean very upon arrival and the expectations for departing guests are reasonable and appropriate. The owner is professional and easy to communicate with. We had an issue with a shower one day, and Shari was able to secure a plumber to address the problem right away. The home is about 30 minutes from Fallingwater and 45 minutes from river rafting. Some people in our party also visited the 9/11 Flight 93 Memorial. The area is fantastic for cultural and physical recreation, and the homes are comfortable and pleasing to return to. A beautiful setting.

Great place, loved the covered deck and outdoor area. We had a fire in the campfire ring every night with 20 people sitting around.

Enjoyable.

  • 5 of 5

This was a gorgeous place to stay and was ideally located for family members coming from Philadelphia, Cleveland, Washington D.C., and Youngstown. Plus, it was large enough to comfortably accommodate sixteen adults and five children. Our stay was even better because we arrived to four inches of freshly fallen snow and left two days later with sunny skies and temperatures in the 70"s. The owners were also very responsive to our needs. I would recommend this place to anyone.
