What makes this house unique

Near boardwalk, downtown, bars and restaurants, but far enough away to be able to relax when you want.

Comfortable and Complete

  • 5 of 5

Nine of us came from around the country for a family reunion of sorts and to enjoy Rehoboth Beach. The town and the beaches were clean and beautiful. The Hanna House property is as pictured and described. The property, inside and out, was impeccably clean and well maintained. We found every amenity we needed/wanted and while I was making arrangements w/John, the owner, I asked if there was a Wok in the house. John said no, but ordered one to be delivered on the day we arrived!

In particular, we enjoyed the warm feeling of the living room, dining room area and the front porch. We cooked up a feast each night and walked back and forth to the beach with ease.

I would recommend this property.

Owner's Response: Thanks for the great review. Once again, we love hearing about our home providing a comfortable backdrop for family get togethers. September is a great time of year for the family reunions and this year had some of the best weather. I'm glad it all worked out. John B

Great location and place!

  • 5 of 5

This is the 2nd time my group of college friends and kids stayed here. Location is perfect for access to the beach, restaurants, and bars. The house is roomy enough. We had 10 this time, last time, we had 16. Everything was clean and in working order. Very comfortable overall. I am sure we will be back.

Had a great time.

  • 5 of 5

House is near everything - Parked the car and never used it the entire time. 3 levels, 2 living rooms allowed the adults to congregate while the children slept. Funland and the boardwalk are 2 blocks away. Easy to get to but you don't have to deal with the noise. The keypad entry allowed everyone to come and go on their own schedule without juggling keys - no key pickup at realtors office; no key return and no LOST key fees. The grill in the back yard along with 2 picnic tables got a lot of use and saved us a ton of time in money trying to feed 14 people.

Outstanding house with all the amenities for a great beach stay

  • 5 of 5

We rented this house for a family reunion beach vacation with 7 adults, 2 teens, and a toddler. The house has great facilities for everyone to have private facilities, plenty of bathrooms, and all the comforts of home. The WiFi worked very well, the kitchen is well stocked with cooking gear, appliances, dishes, cups, etc. The ice maker cranked out plenty to keep our drinks cool. The location is outstanding and we barely had to move our vehicles since we could walk everywhere. The outdoor shower is great when returning from the beach so as not to track sand into the house. Multi-zone A/C keeps both floors very comfortable. The washer and dryer came in handy so we didn't have to overpack clothing. The door has keyless entry which is great so as not to have to fool with keys, especially when going to the beach. I spoke to the owner on site and he is very friendly and easy to deal with. I spoke to him about adding an electric vehicle charging facility, and he is pursuing this for future renters.

Fantastic home, very close to Rehoboth and Dewey

  • 5 of 5

Group of 6 visited for the weekend for a wedding party. The house was immaculate, and very well maintained. Plenty of area for all to sleep, we could have easily fit another another 6 comfortably.

Owner was extremely professional and courteous both leading up to the rental weekend, and during our stay. Highly recommended.

Girls Getaway Weekend!

  • 5 of 5

We nine women decided to forego our annual mountain getaway and head to the beach instead (mainly because we didn't want to cook - lack of restaurants on the mountain meant we had to bring our own provisions).

John was a complete doll to work with! He was extremely patient and accommodating. He was quick to respond to my million questions, both before and after our trip! The house was perfect for our needs! So many properties are set up for families with children (meaning lots of twin beds) but 306 Bayard has all queen beds and one king. The beds were comfortable and the rooms spacious enough to spread out our suitcases. Although there are two bedrooms on the main floor, there are several steps that have to be navigated to get there from either the side or the front entrances (a small consideration for guests with physical limitations). No problems with showers and getting ready to go out - plenty of hot water for everyone! The kitchen was well equipped - although we didn't really cook anything other than breakfast. We did bring all our own paper products, dish soaps, hand soaps and trash bags, but found most of this already there (probably left from previous tenants). The living room and sunroom were great places to relax and gossip. The dining room table was huge - it sat eight comfortably - perfect for board and card games! Upstairs there was a little sitting area - which we used the first day while the house was heating up (it was 30 degrees outside!) because it was the warmest place! Our only disappointment was discovering that the fireplace was for decorative purposes only. With the cold, a nice roaring fire would have been lovely.

The house is in the perfect location - we were able to walk to all the little shops and restaurants just around the corner. We bundled up and explored! The house was close to everything but being just a couple of blocks from Rehoboth Ave meant it was quiet and peaceful. The outlets were a very short drive and we loved the tax free shopping! We are already planning our next visit and will absolutely choose to stay here again!
