Great Rates for a luxury, fully-equipped 2-bedroom/2-bathroom home that works well for couples, families, and small adult groups. Do read the reviews from our previous guests, who have consistently given us 5-Stars for all aspects of their stay.

We are about 10 minutes walk from the centre of Taos and the historic Plaza, with its wonderful restaurants, innovative galleries, and antique shops.

Taos Ski Valley is an easy 30 minute drive, Sipapu 40 minutes, and Angel Fire about an hour away. Santa Fe is a little over an hour's drive.

This truly is a home-away-from-home, which has been carefully and tastefully furnished and equipped as our second home - we keep everything in excellent order. The style is traditional adobe beautifully integrated with Moroccan decor, which gives the interior a rich ambience. The feel is cosy and comfortable, with warm inviting colours, and furniture you can relax in. The 2-storey unit is self-contained: the end-unit of three adobe-style homes in a small private community.

If you love to cook, the kitchen is fully equipped with appliances, including a microwave, food processor & blender, coffee maker & grinder, electric kettle, toaster, as well as a complete set of baking dishes, utensils and chef tools. Basic groceries are kept newly stocked up, and quick meals are available if you arrive late.

The upstairs master suite and lounge is unusually spacious, with a King bed, full bathroom, 2nd satellite TV, DVD player, and a well-equipped office space with wireless DSL, printer, and office supplies.

The downstairs bedroom has a queen bed, and is right next to the second full bathroom. No stairs to climb!

Perfect for 2 couples to have their own space.

The upstairs walled deck looks over the community gardens and has a gas BBQ grill, dining table, chairs, and umbrella for the summer.

Guests have the use of the beautiful and serene gardens while staying with us.

There is a queen size sofa bed in the living room.

The property is approx. 1400 sq ft.

During the summer, the Rio Grande offers rafting and kayaking for all levels, and walkers can enjoy anything from a stroll around the pretty local neighborhoods, to day-long mountain hiking.

About Lise and Nick

We love Taos, and have finally retired here after many years in Silicon Valley.

We originally come from the south of England, and particularly enjoy the colourful gardens in and around Taos, which remind us of home.

There is so much to do here, that we still have a list of 'must-sees' that's several pages long!

We love to entertain, so we make sure that our guests have everything they need (plus a few little luxury extras!).

We now enjoy creating art - from May through October be sure to visit us at our gallery in Penasco: Gaucho Blue Fine Art.

Why Lise and Nick chose New Mexico

This has been our second home since we bought it; we love staying here! The gardens around the condo are quiet and peaceful. It's the perfect location for us: we can stroll into town to look around the galleries, and walk home after a wonderful dinner at one of the local restaurants. It's a great base for exploring northern New Mexico, with so many historical and cultural sites an easy drive away. Santa Fe is just an hour's drive, so you can take advantage of Taos lodging rates while exploring Santa Fe.

What makes this house unique

Our condo is located in one of the most sought-after communities in Taos, and on one of the prettiest streets. The quiet gardens with the koi pond are perfect for sitting peacefully with a book, and maybe a glass of wine.

Inside the unit, there are two separate sitting areas, great for families or groups who would like a little private space to themselves. The upstairs office space is a quiet place to check in to work (if you must!) The private deck is our favourite place to have breakfast and watch the birds in the garden.

Notes:
Beautiful landscaped garden with koi pond, trees, seating, available for enjoyment by owners and guests. Parking for the unit is available immediately outside the back door. Upstairs master suite has a large living area with 2nd TV and a well equipped office area. Each unit is self-contained and doesn't have the 'crowded' or 'public' feel of other condo developments.

The perfect getaway

This was the best condo we've ever rented (and we travel a lot). The kids loved the pond with fish in the front of the condo, and we enjoied the big bedroom and the nice terrace upstairs.

I really appreciated the fully equiped kitchen, and all the nice utensils, silverware and plates. The condo is extremely nice decorated, very functional, and everything is well organized.

The owners were very friendly, and made us fell like home.

We're lookng forward to going back.

Great in-town experience with extremely well-stocked condo and very accommodating owners.

We stayed one day short of 3 weeks in late summer. The condo is very spacious, with a bdrm and bath downstairs and a spacious master suite upstairs with balcony and bath. The complex is quiet and shady, a five-minute walk to top-rated restaurants and shops and the Plaza. Very well-stocked w/ dishware, utensils, supplies, and a full library of maps, booklets, brochures about the area. The owner is quick to respond to requests. When I quibbled about the old TV prior to arrival, they got a new one, and the W-Fi is plenty adequate for streaming programs via Roku - the cable system has good standard offerings, as well. We would definitely stay there again were it not that we prefer to be on the outskirts of town - we missed the sunrises and sunsets and views of Taos mtn.

Wonderful!

We had a wonderful time at this condo. The kitchen had everything you would need to enjoy cooking. The beds were quite comfortable. We enjoyed the balcony with the grill in the evenings. The condo is in a fabulous location close to the plaza. It is a wonderful place to stay while enjoying taos,.

Wonderful property and hosts

We had a wonderful time at Lise and Nick's condo in Taos. The complex is small and quiet and well located within walking distance to the plaza, but not in the middle of traffic. The kitchen had everything you could want and more. I especially enjoyed coffee on the balcony in the morning--with the view of the pond and the peaceful quiet. We will definitely stay here again on our next trip to Taos.

Clean, well-stocked condo - Very convenient location to Taos Plaza

Hosts were very responsive by email and we found everything we needed at this condo which was exactly as pictured. There were books and videos and information about the local area and plenty of supplies and staples in the kitchen with wonderful gas stove, very large microwave, and nice toaster and coffee pot. Wifi was good. Location was super convenient with Smith's grocery store very close by. We were able to easily walk to the Plaza and to the Fireworks in the park on the 4th of July. Only downside was rather shabby, uncomfortable furniture. I would not recommend for senior citizens because of tripping on throw rugs, steep winding stairs and bath tub hard to get in and out of. It would be great for a family. Upstairs bedroom is huge! Be aware that there is no air conditioning and we found it uncomfortable at times upstairs since we were there in July. The grounds were lovely with a little pond. Neighborhood was quiet. We had a lovely stay. Thank you, Lise and Nick.
