Everything we wanted!

  • 5 of 5

My friend and I stayed for a long weekend and the house was perfect. If anything, it was a little big for our needs but it was completely comfortable. Given we both like our space, it was perfect.

Lori made everything easy but expect her to take a day or two to respond as she is a very busy woman! Her home is centrally located but was not where it was indicated on the VRBO site. She was completely upfront with this at first contact and I appreciated the information. Having been to Portland previously, I was familiar with the area and knew it would work for our trip. We did not rent a car, preferring to walk or use public transportation but there is a garage with the house.

It was a little warm while we were there but the air conditioning unit and fans worked perfectly. We will definitely rent again if we go back!

Great place, awesome location. Very spacious and comfortable townhouse a very short walk from the streetcar and near nice restaurants and shops. This will be my first choice the next time I visit Portland.

Portland Central

  • 5 of 5

Last leg of a wonderful family vacation, we landed in Portland on the heals of record snowfall and an impending ice storm. Never fear! Our VRBO host, Lori, allowed early entry and safe harbor to her immaculately kept and nicely appointed 2-bedroom brick apartment. The centrally located spot allowed quick access to public transpo and the bustling downtown scene: including the Portland Art Museum, multiple eateries, delis, and other stores. We had a great time here, and can see how it would be even more fun in sunny weather....w/ use of back deck and BBQ. Driveway a plus for parking in this busy city. We recommended the unit to local friends and vow to return. Thank you, Lori, for letting us use your special place!

Wonderful

  • 5 of 5

Four adults stayed in the townhouse for three days. It was roomy and comfortable with plenty of space for privacy if desired. The fireplace was cozy and kitchen easy to work in. The location was excellent, close enough to walk to restaurants and shops and one block from the streetcar to head out on adventures. We loved it and would definitely come back.

Wonderful Visit

  • 5 of 5

My family of 5 adults stayed here over New Years. The place is very spacious and comfortable. My daughter and her husband found their bed to be so comfortable that they looked at the manufacturing label to see if they can purchase the same mattress and box springs!!

We loved the fire place especially on the snowy nights. Our son lives within walking distance of this location, so it was a perfect location for us. It is very close to grocery store, restaurants, and parks.

We will definitely be coming back.

We Will Be Back

  • 5 of 5

First let me say when we told our daughter the area we were staying, (she lives in Portland,) she said we couldn't be in a better neighborhood, very upscale. Second our hostess Lori was so accommodating we feel so lucky. She did everything possible to help us prepare for our stay.

There were four adults, visiting our daughter and her husband for Christmas. This condo has plenty of room with a garage to park plus driveway space, a first floor with a large living room/dining room in front with large windows to the street and full kitchen/family room with deck in the back. We'd sit inside and watch all the different birds on the deck. There's a fireplace we didn't use. Also there's a half bath on that floor.

The second floor has a huge king master with lovely double vanities and big shower. Tons of closet and cupboard space. The back has a great queen bedroom with private bath and tub/shower dresser and desk. Bright and airy. In between bed rooms is a washer and dryer which was very helpful. The kitchen is so well equipped and we even used some items to bake a rum holiday cake and make Christmas vegetable dishes to take to our daughter's. Usually it's just a few pots and pans but here we didn't want for anything. Some places we always go out to get things. Not here.

The neighborhood is full of grand old homes and apartment buildings with restaurants and pubs within walking distance. When it wasn't raining the area was perfect for strolling.

We have stayed in VRBO type properties for more than 20 years, probably 20+ times. From New York City to Hawaii. Lori and her hospitality are one of the best ever. As I said in our title, we will be back.

A side note, while we were reserving for Portland, we found our hostess lives in Arizona about 15 miles from where we live. Thanks Lori.
