About the property

House, 3 Bedrooms, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 6)

Welcome to our lovely new oceanfront home. You'll feel as if you've entered a tranquil resort, as this home was hand crafted by local craftsman using the most beautiful hardwoods, stone, glass and metals that we could find. Upon arriving you will pass through arched mahogany doorways and be greeted by the sight of breaking waves and the soothing sound of the Pacific ocean. You may want to take a moment to appreciate your surroundings. The counter tops are all hand chiseled granite in the kitchen and Travertine in both bathrooms. The lighting fixtures are hand forged steel and copper, as well as hand blown glass. Check out the Cloud lighting in the two downstairs bedrooms. The front door stained glass window was designed and crafted by local artisan Marcia Joyce. For your convenience, the lighting system in the master bedroom can be controlled by a remote control pad when you are already in bed. It can also be controlled by the garage door opener. You can turn on the exterior and interior lights when you come home from a night on the town for your safety and convenience.

Of course once you have settled in and relaxed, you may want to walk along the beach and discover one of the many local restaurants, or pick up some groceries and enjoy the convenience of your own gourmet kitchen. As the sun gets closer to the horizon you will be drawn to the stunning living room view, the gas fire-pit on the patio, or down to the beach itself for an evening ritual of watching the California sun set over the Pacific Ocean. This is a time of uplifting awe-inspiring nourishment that can only be experienced first hand.

After the sun has shown its last glimmer of color on the horizon, you may want to refresh yourself with a hot shower, a beverage and nestle into one of the cozy goose down comforters and beds for a restful sleep.

Of course if you are still up for a little fun you are only three to thirty minutes from Cayucos, Cambria, Morro Bay, San Luis Obispo, Templeton and Paso Robles. There are fine restaurants in all of these locations, as well as night clubs, theaters, and great shopping in San Luis Obispo.

During your stay, don't forget to check out the Paso Robles and Templeton area if you are a wine lover. There are over 130 wineries and tasting rooms in the area to choose from. World famous Hearst Castle is just a short drive up the coast and Big Sur is only an hour drive away.

We look forward to you visiting our little piece of paradise and encourage you to call anytime if you have any questions about our accommodations.

Why The Owner chose Central Coast

We bought this home at this location because the beach and the surf are perhaps the best on the Central Coast. You can surf 4 surf spots within waliking distance and wind surfing is great too. The sandy beach runs for miles from the Cayucos pier to Morro Bay. There is an amazing amount of wildlife such as seals, dolphins, whales, otters, pelicans and shore birds. Not to mention all of the sea life you can find in the ocean and tide pools.

Hate to write this....

Reason I'm so reluctant to write this review is because....I'm selfish! This house is simply amazing! And due to the amount of the great reviews, it's getting harder and harder to book this property. My Wife, Father, Mother, and two children rented this home last Feb and it did not disappoint. The pictures of the property are great, however they still don't do this house and location justice. If you're looking for a wonderful vacation is a simply spectacular home, with amazing views of the pristine beach, this is your rental. We would go back without hesitation.

Terrific Grey Whale sightings from this beach house

  • 4 of 5

Lovely beach home in a lovely area. Well appointed kitchen which is very important to my family as we cook in frequently. Beautiful view from the great room, comfortable beds, quiet, clean, easy access to beach with lots of sand dollars. Fun to watch the surfers from the firepit patio. Bathrooms a little awkward as there are two bedrooms downstairs but only one bath in master bedroom and then a "loft bedroom" upstairs with a bathroom on the living floor (tri floor arrangement) . If you are a TV watcher beware that the layout of the furniture is not conveniently placed for viewing comfortably, fortunately we only watched two movies while there. Owner friendly and helpful, would definitely return.

We have traveled the entire East coast. We have traveled almost the entire West coast, The vibe from this place was one of our favorites, The ocean at night, The patio with gas fireplace at night. The sun on the patio. The cozy bedrooms and comfortable beds. The gourmet kitchen. Cocktails during the afternoon and evening on the patio overlooking the ocean. The huge picture window looking at the ocean patio. The quaint town, The beach steps away. We're going back.

Beautiful Beach Home

  • 5 of 5

We enjoyed a week in September at this beautiful beach home in Cayucos! We walked into the house, up a few stairs and immediately saw the beach below. A very large back window granted us this pleasure for the entire week, greeting us at sunrise each morning and continuing through sunset each evening. The wood craftsmanship throughout the house is beautiful. We enjoyed the amenities throughout the house - flat screen cable TV, music, wi-fi and comfortable, well-kept living and sleeping accommodations. Public beach access is a few houses down the street, but we spent a good portion of our "beach time" on the back deck. The fire pit was a perfect ending to each day. We would definitely return for another getaway. Although the village is more than a mile beachwalk, one couple did just that! After a nice lunch and walk around town, they returned to the beach and walked home. If we could change anything, we would have another bathroom downstairs. The occupants of the 2nd bedroom downstairs need to use the master bathroom, or walk up 2 flights of stairs to the living room bathroom. Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!

Perfectly appointed place in paradise!

  • 5 of 5

We loved our stay here late in July. We spotted whales out the giant picture window on a daily basis. We brought our bicycles and biked to town several times. We used the towels and boogie boards provided as we spent hours on the beach. We wanted for nothing as the appliances, the electronics and the bedding were all top of the line. Yes, I would recommend this property!

Just what we had in mind!

This was our first experience with VRBO and it seemed that there was a bit of a leap of faith involved with sending off money and having our lodging paid-in-full prior to arrival. We could not have been more thrilled with this home. It was everything we were looking for and more. If you are in the market for a beach house this one is beyond exceptional. We hope to stay again soon!
