About this property

Serenity Farm is near Romney, WV. & Cumberland, Md. Close to Oldtown Md.

The farm house sits on 43 acres in Hampshire Co. WV. A spring fed creek runs through the property. Mountain views from the back porch. Campfire by the creek. The home has 2 living rooms and a craft/ meeting room. There are 3 bedrooms. One with a queen and 2 twins and the 2 others have 2 twins each.
There's plenty of room for a queen air mattress and one of the sofas pulls out like a trundle bed for more sleeping space. There are 2 full bathrooms. The kitchen is large with a connecting dining room.

The creek is usually running. Kids have a lot of fun catching small fish and playing in the water.

The farm has cows. Many are friendly enough to hand feed when arrangements are made with owners. Depending on the time of year we could offer a hayride for a small fee.

We had an absolutely wonderful time!
The house was warm, cozy and inviting right down to owners original artwork. We had 8 people in our group - 4 adults 4 kids - Plenty of room for everyone. The craft room was AMAZING tons of things to keep EVERYONE entertained!! Of course the outside animals kept the younger kid's interests going. The owners were very communicative, easy going and attentive. Property very clean and well maintained. Will definitely return!!

Nice peaceful stay
This was such a great little farm house. Nicely decorated and comfortable! It accommodated us, our friends and their 2yr old. We loved the cows! They came right over to us when we went to the gate. Hosts were excellent and responded quickly when we messaged them. Wish we would have had more time here!

Awesome place
My family and I loved the location of the property. Cris was great to communicate with. My daughters loved the craft room and my dogs loved the wide open space of the land. If you want peace and quite a place to go to get away from the hustle and bustle this is it!! If we are ever in the area again this will be where my family stays. Very clean place and great hospitality !!

We married later in life. Combined we have 6 children and 15 grandchildren. The farmhouse and property have been great for our family to spend time together.

Larry and I (Cris) live nearby in a home not big enough for our continually growing family.

Why they chose this property

Larry said he wanted to own a farm so our search landed us here. He actually had his eyes on this one before it was put on the market. We answered the "for sale by owner" sign before it was in place for 12 hours. We made a handshake agreement and headed to the bank. Welcome to the country!

What makes this property unique

This home has had a complete renovation since purchased. There's a photo album in the living room showing what it looked like when we bought it. Serenity Farm started out as A New Beginning women's recovery home after renovations but covid hit and we just couldn't keep staff on board. So, the home became a new Beginning for our family and a place of serenity in our lives.
A nice creek runs on the property year round. Our grandkids play and catch small fish in it. There's lots of yard to run around in.
