About the property

House: 2 Bedrooms-Large Master w Calif King, 2 twins, 2 Baths, (Sleeps 4)

Spectacular, 180-degree oceanfront views of the beautiful Monterey Bay Sanctuary. Watch dolphins, otters and sea lions from your private deck where birds fly by at eye level – a truly amazing vantage point. From this position you can actually see the sunrise and the sunset. The deck spans the entire length of the house. Located in Aptos (Seacliff) California, this home features 2 bedrooms, 2 baths. The master suite includes a California King and breathtaking ocean views to the front and park-like settings in the rear, second bedroom features two twin beds.

Well behaved pet(s) welcomed for pet owners that take responsibility for their pets. We had two miniature dachshunds so we know how hard it can be to find a place that will accept pets. Help ensure that we keep this as an option by ensuring your pet is suited to stay at someone else's home.

Enjoy shopping in quaint Capitola, hike/mountain bike at Nisene Marks Park (10,000 acres wilderness), visit the Cement Ship at Seacliff beach, walk to New Brighton Beach (dogs are allowed on leashes). Take a sunset stroll to Café Rio for dinner in Rio Del Mar or a morning walk for coffee may be more your style. Enjoy 5-star dining at Café Sparrow in old-town Aptos or visit the several new restaurants in Seacliff. Golf is just minutes away at the world class Seascape Golf Resort, there’s even a mall close by in Capitola. While visiting the Central Coast, visit the Monarch Butterflies, Santa Cruz Beach Boardwalk and Amusement Park – Phil’s Fish Market in Moss Landing and the Monterey Bay Aquarium, 17 Mile Drive, and Pebble Beach.

Note: The home is two stories. You are renting the entire second story (upstairs - reverse floor plan - 1 Master bedroom, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen, dining room, exclusive access to the ocean front deck).

On the opposite side of the house where the 2nd bedroom is located - there is an "in law" unit under this bedroom (meaning it is on the first floor) where a single professional resides full time. This single working professional uses off street parking. The driveway is used only by tenants renting the home on VRBO. This person should not be disturbed during your stay. If you have any issues with the unit, please contact me as the owner.

About Amy Love

We are blessed with this unique location and are happy to share it with others.

We use the home too - so it's designed to be enjoyed by people who treat things with respect.

Amy Love purchased this house in 2005

Why Amy Love chose Central Coast

It was a life long dream to own an ocean front home in such a wonderful resort area.

Nothing is more relaxing to us than sitting on the deck and watching sea life and listening to and watching the ocean surf.

What makes this house unique

As a base, there are countless things to do and explore: Santa Cruz Beach and Boardwalk, Capitola, Seacliff Beach, New Brighton Beach and Natural Bridges which is the home of the migrating Monarch Butterflies.

If you want a little drive up or down the coast - you can visit Half Moon Bay to the north and The Monterey Bay Aquairium, Carmel and 17 mile Drive to the south.

Great place! Would stay there again. Needs some update and a good cleaning.

Again, we loved it and the location. The sound of the beach below was awesome. Neighbors were quiet with the occasional barking dog. I loved the fog rolling in, amazing! Quick access to local restaurants. The place is the upper floor of a home with an outstanding balcony. The balcony needs a little TLC that would include new furniture, a paint job and de-cobwebbing. The inside was cool and cozy. Although I would have a thorough cleaning and dusting. These are only suggestions and not criticisms. I would love to own this property and if Amy the owner wanted to sell it, I'd highly consider buying it. 4 out of 5 stars. Patrick Keelan Lincoln, Nebraska

The view from this home is fantastic!

  • 5 of 5

We arrived on a beautiful day on the coast! As we ascended the stairs through the lush landscaping we came upon the most beautiful, glistening view of the ocean from the full deck! This home has it all from the view to the very comfortable beds. I would even recommend a stay during the cold months as the living area has amazing views to look out at. It's on my list of the top places to stay on the coast!

Terrific! Would rent again. Long walk to the beach but great views of the beach and Monterey bay.

Beach access is the biggest and one of the few negagtives. Since one is usually carrying loads of stuff, waliking to the beach is not an option. We drove and found ideal beaches such as Sand Dollar beach and La Selva beach only a few minutes away.

Owner's Response: The property is listed as Ocean Cliff with 70 feet ocean front views. As described in the listing, I provide a Beach Pass valid at state beaches and state parks for my guests to use. It's a 5 min drive to Seacliff Beach/State Park, New Brighton Beach or 8 minutes to Nisene Marks Park. You can walk to either beach too - it's about a 20-30 minute walk to State Park via Mar Vistas Dr to Beach Gate, where there are stairs leading down the cliff to the ocean.

A little piece of Heaven.

  • 5 of 5

We had a wonderful time at the beach house. So relaxing and private! I read other reviews that complained about the owners living on the first floor and was a little concerned. No need to worry about that. Never heard a peep! The house next door is getting remodeled, however the owner was courteous and we were NOT bothered by loud noise. If you want to feel like the ocean is all yours? Spend a few days here!!! We will be back!!!

Owner's Response: It was nice of this renter to provide us with a 5 star review but she did include an inaccurate statement. As the owner, we do not reside on property. We do have a mature single woman who resides on property in an in-law unit, who parks off property and she does not have any pets. The in-law unit is only accessible from the outside of the house and is not accessible from inside the house. This renter sent me an email that said "Never heard a peep from your renter! Some people are so dramatic! LOL" As you can see from the reviews - people truly enjoy and are amazed at the view and comfort of this home. As the owner, I am happy to answer any questions you might have.

What a gorgeous place! Huge deck perched over the beach, sounds of the waves, Dolphins seals and birds. Amy was very welcoming, and the house was clean and comfortable. Lovely stay!
