Hello. Randy and I both love the beach and love to travel. We both had grown up travling to the beach for family vactions. In the past few years, we found that coming down to Gulf Shores once or twice a year just wasn't enough. In December 2008, we were contacted about purchasing a condo on West Beach. We traveled the 4 1/2 hours from Tuscaloosa to have a look at the condo that we had heard about. As you can see Gulf Shores isnt just a place for Summer. After visiting with Santa out at the Wharf, we decided that we should take the plunge. We purchased our condo in January 2009. January and February were spent painting walls,cleaning, buying furniture and flat screen tvs. By the end of February, everything was as perfect as we imagined. Our first guests started arriving in March 2009. It is a great feeling when others arrive at our place and fall in love with it the way we have. Hope you will feel the same way!

Enjoyed our stay
Condo was awesome, little guy out front was kinda annoying about our parking pass, condo was very nice and clean.
Everything was wonderful. We enjoyed our stay. We plan to book this same condo again next year.

Upon checking in we brought all our bags in (no luggage carts btw) and after taking our shoes off to relax we realized the floor was covered in sand, while I expect this after going to the beach I didn’t think I’d have to clean as soon as we got there. The comforter on the bed was still wet so we had to try and figure out how to rig the broken dryer lent trap to dry the comforter. The front door latch was duck taped so you couldn’t shut the door, only by locking it. They have strict instructions for the AC and keeping it at a specific temperature yet the entire stay we had to keep the curtains drawn and our box fan running 24/7 in the hallway and the temperature never went lower than 80. The WiFi basically didn’t work. We could hardly use our phones while at the condo. For what I paid, I expected better.
I’m always shocked with a bad review especially when the guest will not contact you. When someone leaves a bad review 3 weeks after their trip ends , it makes me wonder how accurate it is or if they are just in a bad mood that day. FYI - there are carts there to use. If a cart is unavailable, it is simply that someone else is using them. The Wi-Fi works great. I am self employed so Wi-Fi is a must. I can’t speak for her cell phone as I have no clue who her provider is. I use my cell phone with no problems. This is the message I sent to Amber. No response from her sadly.
Hello. I just saw your review of the condo. I was just there in May, two weeks before you. Tell me more about the problems you encountered. I cant fix them after the fact but would love to fix them for future guests. Who did you contact about the problems? My husband does not recall speaking with you nor do the cleaning staff. They keep call logs. I certainly haven't but would love to. The dryer was not messed up when I was there. Definitely no tape anywhere. Air conditioner was replaced last year, so no problems there. You can have the temperature on any degree you want while staying there. We just ask that you adjust it when you leave. Its very hard to remedy something when you aren't aware of it.

Great location for the price
Condo was clean and in good condition and can’t beat beachfront for this price.
It was definitely not what we expected . The inside was decent but it looked like we were in the projects. No security no lobby . Nothing
In the projects? I can’t even begin to imagine what project you’ve ever been to that is direct beach front. No lobby in a condo, not a hotel, bothers you? Love your review. It makes me chuckle at the difference in guests. Most love the smaller, more residential complexes. I’ve never heard anyone complain about not having a lobby. What do you even need a lobby for? I’ve personally never thought about that before. If that’s a big deal for you, add that to the list of items to ask BEFORE you rent. Absolutely no way for me to add one for you. There IS a security guard on premises in plain clothes. They work our property and Ocean House. If you didn’t notice them, they are doing a great job. You DO realize that the only thing in my control is inside the 4 walls of the condo, right? That is what your review should be about. Apparently no complaints there because you did not contact the owners or the managers. All of which you had phone numbers for. Bless your heart!
