This newly furnished and updated condo is on the 2nd floor overlooking San Carlos Bay. The roomy master suite has a 32” tv, ensuite bath and it’s own view of the bay. The guest bedroom can be closed for use as an additional suite or opened for family use.

The lanai is newly renovated with sliding glass doors offering great views and lots of sunshine.

You can also see the views from the living area and the kitchen. The kitchen is equipped for eating-in or reheating those leftovers from one of the many island restaurants.

There is a separate laundry with a full size washing machine, dryer, ironing board and iron.

The living room has a 42” tv so you don’t miss your favorite games. If you’re team isn’t on or you’re looking for company to cheer on the home team, try one of Sanibel’s many sports bars.

Sanibel Island, a barrier island off the west coast of Florida near Fort Myers and is well known for its fabulous shelling. It’s unique geographical orientation allows it to act as a 'scoop', gathering seashells along the shore. Sanibel also offers bike trails, golf courses, tennis courts, children's play areas, picnic areas, a farmer’s market from November thru April, Ding Darling Nature Preserve, Tarpon Bay, bird watching, big arts (movies, special workshops, lecture series, festival of films and art galleries), shell museum, cinemas, marinas, cruises & sightseeing tours, fishing, sailboat, powerboat, canoe, kayak and paddle board rentals, eco-tours, great shopping, fine and family dining, & spectacular sunsets.

Why Dee Strunk chose Florida South West

We've been coming to Sanibel for over 35 years and wouldn't stay anywhere else!

What makes this condo unique

Location...once we get on the island we're 'home'. The fishing pier has been a great source of fun and entertainment throughout the years with family fishing contests, it also provides a great place to watch for the dolphins and manatees, you make new friends and it's the perfect place to watch the fireworks. The boat docks make it so convenient to moor your own boat. It's a quiet and well maintained complex and of course....the magnificent view.

Guestbook comments from the owner

It had everything we needed. John thoroughly enjoyed fishing from the dock.

All the fellow fishermen were so helpful and friendly. He also loved talking to the guys at the Bait Box and going to Spring Training Baseball games.

My favorite activities were kayaking at Tarpon Bay, swimming in both pools and watching the boats on the Bay from the Lanai.

Favorite Rest. Gramma Dots

Night Spot Jac Bar

Craziest thing I've ever seen - crab races on Captiva

We had a fabulous 3 weeks Thanks so much!

Also, Sanibel has the best Farmers Mkt. I've ever seen.

You can 't beat the view and the entertainment provided by dolphins, manatees and birds just outside your door/window. If you still can't find what you're looking for, take a short stroll to the Chamber of Commerce just minutes away. Bikes are a great way to see the island. A cruise on Tarpon Bay is a fun way to learn about the eco-system of the island and why Sanibel remains a beautiful place to visit.

This condo is immaculate and made us feel right at home. It was amazing to sit on the balcony and see the manatee, dolphins, sting ray, countless birds, etc just a few feet away. Not only was the condo great, but the Island was so serene, peaceful and the most beautiful place we had ever been to. We loved the fact of the Island being so calm. No hustle and bustle of everyday life or most beaches you visit. The shelling was fabulous as well. Not to mention many great restaurants and unique shops. This place stole our hearts and we can not wait to go back!

Beautiful and comfortable condo

  • 5 of 5

We found this 2 bedroom/2 bath condo to be beautifully decorated with a beach theme. The condo was clean and the beds and chairs were comfortable. Each bathroom had soap and a hairdryer. The kitchen had plenty of appliances and dishes. It was nice to have the washer and dryer in the unit and 2 packs of laundry detergent supplied as well as dish and dishwasher detergent. Four beach towels were also in the unit. We loved the view of the San Carlos Bay and the Sanibel Causeway from the lanai. We weren't lucky enough to see manatees, but did see one dolphin and plenty of egrets and brown pelicans. There are so many restaurants on Sanibel and Captiva Islands. We enjoyed wonderful food at Cip's Place, Lighthouse Cafe of Sanibel, Gramma Dot's, The Mucky Duck, Blue Giraffe, and the Over Easy Cafe. For groceries, we went to Jerry's for a great selection. We took the tram tour at the J.N. "Ding" Darling National Wildlife Refuge and our guide was quite knowledgeable and interesting. We also found seashells on 3 different beaches to bring home. There are bicycle/pedestrian paths all over the island. The Visitor's Center is very close and you can get a great deal of information from flyers and the personnel there. Mariner's Pointe has tennis courts and an outdoor swimming pool. We had a fantastic week!

What a picture-perfect place to stay.

Beautiful view! Loved the location. The condo was very comfortable and nicely decorated. Close to the beaches, restaurants and shops. Road my bike all around the island. Went kayaking at Ding Darling. Fishing on the pier at the condo was great fun!

Great Experience!

  • 5 of 5

This rental property was quaint and clean with all the amenities of home. It is a great location away from the hustle and bustle right off the causeway. There is a beautiful view from the sunroom overlooking the bay where you can watch the dolphins in the evenings, passing boats, and lots of birds as well. During our vacation, we enjoyed the beaches, shopping, restaurants and even took in a baseball game at Hammond Stadium in Fort Meyers. I would highly recommend the condo and would love to go back again to the Sanibel/Captiva since we couldn't possibly do everything we wanted to do in one week. This is a great place for a vacation!!!

Amazing Views

  • 5 of 5

We rented Dee's condo for a girls week/birthday celebration and we're still smiling. The views from the condo cannot be properly described. The floor to ceiling view of the bay is breathtaking at any point in the day. It's the very first thing you see as you enter the space. The accomodations are well appointmented, plenty of room and comfortable. Having a washer/dryer in the unit is a huge plus. The other owners/renters on the property were so nice and we feel like we left Sanibel with some great new friends. Mariner's Pointe is in a secluded location, easy to access from the Causeway and easy to get to everything.

The pools are clean, refreshing and close to the unit. It was too warm to play tennis when we visited, but the courts were in top shape.

But the most amazing part of the week was the spectacular wildlife show we were treated to daily. A dolphin family came in the morning and late day to feed and entertain us. They swim right up to the boardwalk, close enough to reach down and touch. It was absolutely thrilling. We also had numerous manatee sightings. Don't spend any money on an eco tour, you'll see more right from the edge of the property or from the lanai of the condo. I've vacationed in Florida for years and never experienced anything quite like this.

Sanibel is truly a remarkable location. I visited when I was 7 and I don't think it has changed dramatically in over 40 years. Its still quiet, laid back, charming, friendly and beautiful.

I highly recommend a vacation on Sanibel Island and this property is a perfect place to stay.

Owner's Response: This review says it all. (It's better to hear a renters review than an owners). Everyone who rents this unit gives it 'rave" reviews. Why not be the next renter to enjoy it?

In January, 2012, Sanibel Island was ranked #1 on Frommer's Top 10 Favorite Places to travel in the world. It is also one of the top shelling beaches in the world and U.S. News Travel ranked Bowman's Beach the tenth best beach in the world.

Mariner Pointe is a friendly, private 'hide-away'. You can watch the dolphins, manatees and birds from your lanai or while you walk the boardwalk in the morning with your first cup of coffee. You can fish on a private fishing pier, no license required, swim in one of two pools or the many beaches nearby, play tennis, bike on miles of bike paths around the island, kayak and explore 'Ding' Darling Nature Preserve or Tarpon Bay on your own or on a guided cruise. There are great restaurants for breakfast, lunch or dinner, many unique boutiques, art galleries and museums to wander through and so much more. At the end of the day you can relax on your lanai, enjoy the million dollar view of the Bay and plan your next day's adventure..

Other Activities: shelling, biking, swimming, fishing, bird watching, watch the dolphins, manatee and birds playing in the bay just outside your lanai are just a few.

It's so beautiful!
