Enjoy the Bighorn View Estate for an easy weekend getaway. Or, come and stay for a holiday. Holidays are a 3 night minimum. If you're staying for a Special Event, the minimum stay is 3 nights. Coachella Music Festival is a 4 night minimum.

Your Vacation has been hard-earned so don't waste it by staying somewhere that doesn't have everything! Nothing is worse than getting somewhere only to find that you are miles away from the attractions you want to enjoy and spending half your time in the back of a cab. Or worse yet, spending extra money at the Spa or Hotel because you don't have a hot-tub or quiet place to relax in your room. Bighorn View Estate is a one-acre Private Estate that has so much to do, you may never leave. But if you choose to, you are within walking distance to some of the best Restaurants and attractions the Desert has to offer.

This is a unique and wonderful home. It's size, location and private tennis court make it ideal for groups or special events. Perfect for birthdays, retirement party, holidays, bachelorette party, golf or tennis weekend, etc. Renting a private home for a special occasion can be the perfect solution for some events. Giving up resort amenities can be compensated by privacy, tranquility and a truly unique experience. Please specify if you are interested in this home for a special event and you will be given a rental quote based on the scope of your event and the number of guests attending.

***Price Ranges for Special Events are as follows:

Number of guests: minimum 18 - maximum 100.

Rental Rate: as listed up to $2,500 per night with 3 night minimum.

Special Event Permit Fee: $150 - $550.

Refundable Security Deposit: min $1,500 up to $5K maximum.***

Keep in mind when considering renting this home, that this neighborhood cherishes its peacefulness. It is not a party town destination for young people. We welcome respectable renters that will ensure the tranquility of the community is maintained. The city of Rancho Mirage has a 10pm Noise Ordinance. Therefore, all events must end by 10pm. Please consider this when choosing this location for your event.

At Bighorn View Estate you can play tennis on your own private tennis court, and you won't get 'blown away' by a sandy desert Scirocco. That's because the Magnesia Falls Cove is one of the few coves protected from the wind on 3 sides by the lovely San Jacinto Mountains. Take a swim in the private swimming pool, or relax in your secluded hot-tub, resting just outside your Master Bedroom. There's even a fire table on the poolside patio to warm up after a swim or to take the chill out of the desert night. Don't forget, you have a full kitchen, so maybe staying in for the night and pay-per-viewing a movie is the way to go. If you choose to invite some friends over, there is no better place to entertain. Guests can be screened at your own Private iron gates. Then you can greet them as they come up the 25 foot wide stairway to the Estate entrance. Try that at your Hotel!

And if you decide to go out, try a leisurely walk under the stars down to the River Shops and Restaurants. The newest and most beautiful outdoor attraction Rancho Mirage has to offer, boasting Restaurants, shopping, and movie theaters. In fact, there are over 50 amazing restaurants located within a 1mile radius of Bighorn View Estate. 91 Restaurants in a 3mile radius. There is no better location to be in all the Desert.

Don't have regrets after your next vacation, you have worked too hard for it. Don't spend half the vacation getting lost on Cab rides. About The Owner

I have spent half my life in the Desert and half in beautiful Santa Barbara. I currently live in Santa Barbara with my lovely wife and three boys. Life is always interesting with a full house and 'getting away' to the Desert is a great way to 'recharge the batteries'. The kids love it down there and Grandma loves the fact that her Grandkids are in town quite frequently now. After 20 years as a Financial Advisor, I have been blessed with the ability to buy this 'one-of-a-kind' Estate.

Why The Owner chose Rancho Mirage

It has taken 20 years but I have finally arrived back in Rancho Mirage, just one block away from the home I grew up in! I was born in Rancho Mirage and spent many Birthdays as a kid at Bighorn View Estate, as my best friend lived there and had the same Birthday as I did. When the Estate came up for sale, it was clearly Destiny, and I had to buy it. I hope you can share in the enjoyment my family has had there over the years.

What makes this house unique

Bighorn View Estate has all the amenities I need to enjoy doing my favorite things. Wake up and swim laps in the pool. Head out for an amazing hike up The Magnesia Falls. If I am lucky, see a few Bighorn Sheep on the ridge. Later in the day, a 'friendly' game of Doubles Tennis on our tennis court....Then its cocktail hour. Sit out on the back patio and watch the sun set slowly over the beautiful mountains. Head inside and Pay-per-view a Classic movie and then jump in the hot tub and relax. Order take out or BBQ on the grill. Sit by the fire outside. What a great way to end the day! Oh yeah, the central location is perfect. Just 15 minutes from La Quinta and 15 minutes from Palm Springs and Palm Springs Airport!

$250 No smoking fee applied for a single cigarette butt found outside

We were a group of 15, 25-30 year old grad students, in Palm Springs for a golf weekend. House was great, very nice and a convenient location.

One person in our group is a smoker. He left a single butt on the ground and we were charged the full no smoking fee. By the letter of the contract I can't argue with the property manager. However, the fee increased our entire payment by 10% for the weekend. We were not smoking as a group and we weren't smoking inside.

I guess bending over and picking up one butt is a $250 task. If I saw it during the final clean up, I happily would have done it for $5 or even less!

Great for Bachelorette weekend

Big Horn was the perfect location for a Bachelorette Weekend! The house, accommodations and the views were amazing. Even got a chance to view a meteor shower. Never left the house because the house offered everything we needed for the weekend. Rocio, the property manager was great to work with. Good communication from beginning to end. Will definitely refer friends and family.

- Guest is 100% responsible for following House Rules and Rental Contract terms and all damage, charges incurred, fines, lost, broken, stolen, or missing items during their stay.

- Must be at least 30 years of age to rent this property. ID will be verified and copy provided.
- Host's Rental Contract is agreed upon and signed before confirmation of booking. Property Manager receives copy of signed contract at time of booking.

- Early and/or Late Check-Out can be arranged before arrival. Extra Services Fee may be required.
- $300 fine for Late Check-Out that is not pre-arranged will be withheld from deposit.

- Cost for pool heat is $300. If pool heat is enabled by guest without permission from the Owner/Property Manager and not pre-paid by arrival date, $300 will be withheld from the deposit.

- No undeclared guests. $200 fee per per person, per night will be withheld from deposit for undeclared guests.
- $400 fine for lost key.

- 10pm - 1pm Noise Ordinance. RESPECTABLE RENTERS ONLY. Neighbors enjoy their tranquility. City Fines incurred due to excessive noise or neighbor complaints will be withheld from deposit.

- No parties without permission. Any party held on the property with 18 guests or more, without prior approval from Owner/Property Manager and held without a city permit will result in one or more of the following: no refund on security deposit, immediate expulsion from the property, no refund on rental.

- Holidays and Special Events are 3 night minimum.
- Coachella is 4 night minimum.

- Guest is 100% responsible for following House Rules and Rental Contract terms and all damage, charges incurred, fines, lost, broken, stolen, or missing items during their stay.

- Upon conclusion of cleaning and inspection, the security deposit will be refunded to the Renter 7 days after check-out. Any damages or infractions of House Rules and/or Rental Contract will be disclosed to the Renter and the appropriate expense will be withheld from deposit.

Owner's Cancellation Policy

  • 100% refund if canceled at least 60 days before arrival date.
  • Service Fee fully refunded on cancellations that qualify for 100% refund.
