Great Family Vacation
We planned our yearly family vacation to Henry's Lake based on finding this lovely property. Our 4 families enjoyed the beautiful yard and cabin for a fun-filled week. Access to the lake is very convenient, our paddle board and kayaks were in constant use. A quick trip to the west entrance of Yellowstone Park provided a fun day of geyser and wildlife watching. In another direction, we ventured to Mack's Inn for an eventful time kayaking the Snake River. The children of all ages had such a good time. The owners were wonderful to work with and we will definitely want to return again.
Everything it was supposed to be, clean, well stocked.
We have a family reunion bi-annually and we felt this was the best one ever.
Mountain living at its best
Wonderful would return
Beautiful Home; Gorgeous Views!
This home was perfect for our group of 7 adults. It was very clean, well-stocked with just about anything you may need, and very comfortable. We spent many evenings on the fantastic deck that wraps around two sides of the home. It is perfect for having dinner, enjoying the view of Henry's Lake, or just relaxing after a day of activities.
The location worked out quite well. It is an easy 20-minute ride to the entrance of Yellowstone Park, where we spent a lot of time. The town of West Yellowstone is a great town to shop, eat and feel like you've stepped back in time. We had dinner at the Buffalo Bar downtown. Great food and decent prices. We took a beautiful ride to Hebgen Lake where we rented a pontoon boat for the day. Breathtaking scenery including the mountain goats! Bear World in Rexburg is worth the trip. It is a drive-thru park but you can also enjoy inside the park with kids rides, petting zoo, and take a ride on an open-air truck where we were actually able to feed the bears! We also went to Grizzly World in West Yellowstone and were able to see some amazing grizzly bears.
Besides the Buffalo Bar restaurant mentioned above, we would recommend the Bar N Ranch which is not too far from the home. Reservations are recommended. The food was outstanding. If you're hungry for pizza, we really enjoyed the Wild West Pizzeria, also in West Yellowstone.
The owners were very helpful and great to work with. We would definitely stay here again.
Spectacular views and plenty of space for a family vacation
Our one week stay was a joy at this spacious and comfortable cabin with the most amazing views. We caught huge trout right off the boat cove and enjoyed the expansive living space on the deck. All of the bathrooms were just remodeled before our arrival and they are incredible in every detail. The cabin more than comfortably accommodated 11 in our party(Four married couples and three grandchildren ages 7 and under). Only 20 minutes from the West entrance to Yellowstone!
Fantastic property. The view was absolutely breathtaking. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay.....private, yet close enough to W Yellowstone. Every amenity you could want. Owners are EXTREMELY great to work with. No one wanted to leave......... Will be back for sure!!!
The house is available only from Memorial Day through early October. The snowfall in the winter usually requires plowing of the access road that would be an extra expense most renters would not want to incur.
