5 Bedroom Waterfront House

Bedrooms 5
Half Baths1
Space 3,500 sq ft
Property type house
Minimum Stay 3 nights

About the property

House, 5 Bedrooms + Sunroom, 2.5 Baths, (Sleeps 8-10)

Open-Concept Living room/Dining room/Kitchen make this house ideal for get togethers. The property faces west, and the sun sets on the beach so you have use of the beach and dock right up until dark. Many places are in full shade by 3 pm. There are two fire pits-one right beside the lake and one beside the house and there is plenty of FREE wood to burn.

The house sits on a fairly private wide bay with only a couple of other docks within sight, so while you are swimming or floating on your inner tube or air mattress, you need not worry about being run over by other boaters and skiers or vice versa. A rowboat comes with the rental, so you can get some good exercise or catch dinner if you are a fisherman.

Sandpoint, with many restaurants, movie and live theater and shopping is a short beautiful/scenic drive by boat or car. There are many mountain/lake trails and activities nearby if you desire.

There's a jacuzzi, plenty of games, over 300 DVDs/videos and a 60 inch TV screen so you can watch the sunset, then make popcorn and snuggle in at night too.

The smell of evergreen trees fills the air. The house is nestled among giant trees on a bluff with a wide view of the river and mountains beyond.

About jackie lindenbach

We raised our family in this house. We planted an orchard and hundreds of berry bushes, so if something is in season while you visit, help yourselves. There is plenty of room to spread your wings here - with the wide meadows beside the lake. Now we live in California and return for several weeks ourselves every summer.

Why jackie lindenbach chose Sagle

We found Sandpoint when we decided to move west in 1998. The lake, the fresh air, the mountains, and natural beauty all around are all so welcoming and nurturing. It is a fabulous place to be with your family all seasons. The walks along the river in spring, fall and winter is many times complete with a bald eagle sighting. The summer on the lake is wonderful. Like summer camp, but more luxurious.

What makes this house unique

Sunsets, sunsets, sunsets. The scent of evergreen fills the air. Two fire pits-one beside the house and one lakeside. Rowboat. Private BEACH.

Great for family reunion

  • 5 of 5

We spent a week with our kids, grandkids and brother (10 of us plus an infant) and loved the place. The house was spacious, with a well equipped kitchen, toys and games. It stayed cool when we closed it up for the day and then opened in the evening when the temperature cooled down.

The beach and dock were private and the walk down to it acceptable even for those of us who are past retirement age. (And perhaps not in the best shape.)

Our 3 year old grandson is in love with trains so the few trains a day were a real treat for him. And down the hill and away from the house so as not to disturb us too much.

Jackie was great...nearby but nearly invisible except when we needed her. Somehow the fire pit magically became set for the next nights fire. S'mores were popular.

We have a very large family, children from 23-10 years of age, this home was perfect for all ages! The home was very inviting and simple. The sun room was the best for the relaxing evenings, it has a wonderful seating area and hot tub, very enjoyable! I loved that this home has multiple seating areas to enjoy with our family. Each seating area, from the back deck to the large fire pit, to the private beach were all perfect for those BEAUTIFUL SUNSETS!! Every night was glorious!! The private beach and dock were just what we needed to enjoy that wonderful water during the day! The game room was a big favorite for all, it was equipped with a lot of favorite family games and tons of movies!! The property also has a wonderful orchard garden area which was a lot of fun to play in. The blue berries were in season on our trip, YUMMY!

We will be coming back for more, the next Idaho vacation we take!

Excellent place to stay!!!

Cabin Great for Large Family Gathering!

  • 4 of 5

This property was great for more then one family, with lots of space for everyone! The games room and sun room as well as large dining and living areas were great even on those evenings when it rained. Upstairs the five large bedrooms gave everyone some private space as well. Blackberries and blueberries were in season and much enjoyed! The only drawback was the "lakefront" was quite a way from the cabin down a steep hill and over a open railroad track where a loud train went by a number of times each day. All in all though, the large amount of space made up for it - excellent for your next get together!
