Beach and Adventure- Surfing, Windsurfing, Kite surf: Jobos Beach- You can't leave Isabela without dropping by Jobos Beach. Ask about what locals consider the better sites to surf and Jobos Beach in Isabela was always mentioned.
Shacks Beach- Probably the most popular spot for kiteboarders and wind surfers is Shacks Beach. Come here to enjoy water sports.
Shacks Beach- For snorkelers, this is pretty nice as well. There's about 50 yards of nice water between the reef and shore. But watch out for the kiters. As with most ocean with coral, the bottom here has its share of sea urchins!Make sure you wear booties.
Nature and Adventure- Caving and : Camuy Cavern- There are only two other places in the world where you will find a cave system as massive or dramatic as the Ro Camuy Cave Park - and neither of them has a tropical underground river thundering through it!
Only a small part of the complex is open to the public: three crater-like sinkholes and two caves... but what a spectacular part it is! Visitors ride a trolley that descends into a sinkhole lined with dense tropical vegetation while a guide describes the sights. After a walk across ramps and bridges and through the dramatically illuminated, 170-foot high Cueva Clara, another tram shuttles you to a platform overlooking the 400 foot deep Tres Pueblos Sinkhole.
Horseback Riding- There are various nearby Companies that will offer a variety of possibilities for your horseback riding adventure, 7 days a week.

Great location and water view
Close to good restaurants
Carlos provided us everything we needed to enjoy our stay in his beautiful and relaxing apartment. Our family of four really enjoyed the views from the balcony and rooftop patio, the comfortable beds, and nice kitchen. With the pool and beach basically at our doorstep, we couldn't have asked for anything more.
Dear Mark, thanks for your review and for being a five star guess...We are happy the family had a great time... Please come back next year!
Our family of 6 adults all enjoyed our stay in Isabela. The apartment had everything we needed like a cooler, beach floats, binoculars (to see the whales!). You do have to walk 20 minutes to be able to get into the ocean so this is ocean front but not beach front.
Rick, thanks for your review. Just one question: In what apartment did you stay? Because, I know my property and mine is steps from the apartment! In fact less than 100 meters. If you mean, Jobos Beach- the public beach were thousands gather- i agree but your statement that is not beach front is mistaken as i take my daughter to the almost private beach in front of the apartment. Is true it has a reef, but it forms a little beautiful pool.
We had a great time during our short stay in Isabela. It was a short beach walk to all the restaurants. We had a great time on the rooftop patio and spent most if our time up there. The property was well kept up. Carlos was very responsive to phone calls. Overall we had a great experience and I would definitely stay here again if I come back.
Sumana, What can I say? Thanks so much for taking care of the apartment....the lady that cleans told us the difference between your stay and the others....and thank you for been the first guest in 8 years that figure the whole house on her own, including the wifi that needs the NASA person to figure it out... jajajja
Please come back next year
We had a great time!
While the condo is in need of some repair (leaking windows, all of them, don't leave anything on the floor in front of them that can't get wet if it rains, no water pressure in the upstairs master if anyone showers downstairs, those are on the building manager) and the couch is in rough shape, it was a perfect location for us to be central to several different surf breaks. The beach out front is NOT a swimming beach, it's a beautiful flat rock reef, but you can walk the beach to Jobos for more of a sand bottom entrance. The owner, Carlos, is super helpful and responsive to any questions or anything you might need. The view is gorgeous and since we cooked in often, we were pleasantly surprised at having everything we needed! Grocery is nearby and had a good selection and grilling and chilling was perfect on the upstairs deck!
Kerrie, there are multiple windows in the apartment and your statement of "all" is an exagerations in two fronts: not all of them are broken and there are many of them indoor, so don understand the other statement of not " leaving anything on the floor". The truth is that some of then need rapair and I was the one who alert you of that, as the mechanism that is needed is not available in home depot yet. As to the couch, they are 5 years old and went an upholstered work two years ago, but is true they may need another one and we are working on that.
Carlos- My parents and their friends absolutely loved their stay at your apartment home. They loved the layout of the place, and they said that the view of the beach was breathtaking. The presence of a gate and security guard for the apartment complex gave them additional peace of mind and the location was close to everything they needed. But most of all, they said that your hospitality was absolutely wonderful. They enjoyed their stay so much that they talk about wanting to go back every year for vacation. Thank you so much for providing for a comfortable, peaceful, and enjoyable stay at your home in Isabela :)
