Our spacious condo is a four bedroom 3 bath beach residence that sleeps up to 8 comfortably. We’ve made sure that our condo décor complements all of the unique features of this very open floor plan. Each fall we freshen things up so that when you get here you’ll feel like you’re in a brand new property that designed and equipped with your family in mind. You’ll find the balcony to be quite large with plenty of seating for everyone. There’s a table that seats six so you’ll probably want to dine on the balcony and enjoy your view of the world’s most beautiful beaches. We also have loungers so you can do your sunbathing without ever leaving the condo. You’ll find that there’s nothing better than your morning coffee out there. At Ocean Reef 909 we wanted an environment that makes our beach residence a true respite. A place where vacation memories, your vacation memories, can be created. We also wanted to make this a home away from home. For us and our guests. DO NOT RENT THIS CONDO OR FROM BEST BEACH GETAWAYS!!!!!
List of issues:
-We had 9 people in the condo. They gave us two keys for 9 people. We checked in on Saturday and I emailed on Sunday as well as called for additional keys. No one ever responded to email or calls about keys.
-No carts available to help bring items to condo - With having 9 people -4 kids you can imagine the luggage and items needed for the vacation. It took us over an hour because there are only 3 elevators and they are constantly busy or full. We had to make at least 5 trips on different elevators due to no luggage carts. If you can, bring your own wagon to help with load.
-Furniture in entire condo is awful and dirty - red chair has rip in back of cushion - Stains on furniture in the living room - Only 5 chairs at the dining table
-toilet paper holder broken in 2nd bathroom
-towel rack broken in kids/full bathroom
-full bed does not have box spring
-Master Bedroom mattress has coils coming thought the mattress when you lay on the bed
-tub spicket broken in kids/full bathroom
-air conditioner can not keep up
- hot in kids and full bedrooms
-no drawers in kid room
-condo is very dirty - I had to take vacuum (after we cleaned the vacuum out) and vacuum the whole condo again, as well as the return vents and the sides of the Master bed from all the dead skin cells on the bed. It was disgusting!
- carpet is beyond disgusting
-Parking is a JOKE. You get one parking spot. For a condo with 4 rooms we had two cars. They say that there are additional spots across the street but it is always full. We had to park in random spots that we knew where open around us. We did get a warning for parking in an open spot.
-When we left we placed all pool bracelets into the basket. We got an email today (Monday) that we were going to be charged $30 for missing bracelets. THAT ARE NOT MISSING!
- Check in process is a joke. They say they will call you when the room is ready. 4 p.m. came and went and we have to call them to get the code to get the keys from the box.
-The front door is a safety risk. You have to lock the door with a key from the inside of the room. If there is a fire and you can not find the key - You WILL DIE!
-The customer service is Awful. They would never return my calls or emails before the trip or while we were at the condo.
For the amount of $ we pay for this property it is very disappointing.
I would like to inform you off all the issues we had while renting this unit from 4/2/16 through 4/9/16. I called on the day we arrived and spoke with a female at the office(Best Beach Getaways). She stated to go directly to Ocean Reef to check in. We arrive there and Security tells us that there is no office and we have to go to the Best Beach Getaway location. I was never sent an email like I was told I would regarding codes to get in. I called 3 times during the week and left messages with no phone calls back!
The first issue was there was only 1 key in the lock box. The other key magically arrived sometime after Thursday after I had called and left messages. Also, you have to use the key to lock the door when you are inside. This is a major fire hazard!!!!!!
The second time I called with no response was to report damages that I observed inside the unit.
The third time I called was to check out. I left another message and never received a call back.
I would really like to speak with the owner of this unit and explain to him/her the poor communication methods that Best Beach Getaways practices.
We arrived at the condo after an exhausting 13 hour drive. I had hoped to shower and relax but instead, we spent hours dealing with the management company regarding the shape of the unit. The carpet was disgusting, the stains on the living room furniture, gross, the dining room chairs were so worn and most were about to break so sitting on them was not a good idea, the bunk beds were ripped and torn, patio furniture was broken and left sitting there in pieces, a horrible smell in the laundry room area, and the kitchen essentials were non-existent. We purchased a blender and left it there for the next guests. One of the toilets, when you flushed it, sounded like a tornado alarm. In short, the operations manager, Matt, stopped by and he too was astound with the condition of the unit. He brought in a carpet and upholstery cleaner the following morning and called in a plumber. The toilet issues were improved but still had the sound, although not as loud or for as long. He also offered to refund us, which was a nice gesture, however, we were unable to find another location without tying up a couple thousand more in our bank account. He did refund a portion of the rental fee. We made the best out of a bad situation. I have never wrote a negative review and I'm doing this with the hope that the owner actually makes the repairs, etc., in this unit before another guest arrives to a mess. The furniture needs to be replaced, walls painted, just give it some TLC. Although we love the Ocean Reef condo (another family member was in another unit during the same time and their unit was beautiful) we would never rent this unit again. I apologize for a negative review but this is something that needs addressed. Thank you for your time and attention to this matter.
Although the condo was nice there were some major problems with parking! We had a party of 8 therefore we had to travel in two cars. The condo only has one parking space. There were 40 additional parking spaces across the road which were always full and supposed to be additional parking down the road at the Wyndham which was gated off with no access. We had several nights when there was no place to park and worried if we would be towed by morning. I would not stay here if you have more than one car.
As for the condo, on arrival we were supposed to be called no later than 4:00 with an access code to be able to enter the property. I still did not have access at 6:00, (standing around with no place to go is not what you want to be doing after a 16 hour road trip)after several calls I finally get in touch with someone and got access. There were supposed to be two parking passes in the condo when we arrived and no parking passes were provided so again another call. The manager was supposed to call me due to the late access and try to make it right since we did not get into the condo when we were supposed to and he never called. The stove's right front burner did no work as well.
