Guestbook comments from the owner

I had a wonderful time on our weekend getaway. The townhouse was perfect for our group of 3 couples and one single guy. Everything was clean, comfortable and fully stocked with all the little extras, like toiletries, hairdryers, and extra towels for the private hot tub. The bedrooms had amazing views and the kitchen had everything you could possibly need. This spot is perfect for a group of friends to get together and hit the slopes. The multilevel layout gives you privacy too. You're not tripping over each other or crammed into a small space. The living area is open so you can BBQ on the deck, cook and hang out in one space that fits everyone. I highly recommend it.Oh and the price was fantastic. I was really surprised at all the little amenities that came with it.Such a great deal. I'm definitely booking it again. Thanks!

Great Place

  • 4 of 5

Easy to find, easy parking and close to downtown creekside (10-15 min walk). The hot tub on the balcony was amazing-it is relatively quiet as it faces a hill, but the sound of a waterfall behind it was very relaxing after a long day of skiing. Its a 3 story townhouse so if you have limitations (ie. cane, walker etc) it probably wouldn't be for you. Outside storage of ski gear with a bench to put on boots etc. We were able to comfortably fit our party of 8 people in the evening-especially when half wanted to watch a movie and half wanted to play board games at the dining room table. Its a bit cozy for 8-which I personally like as far as the living room goes. Laura was exceptional at getting back to me as soon as possible (I never had to wait more than 24 hours-and most times it was less than a few hours). The ski out was easy to find, but the ski in is pretty hard to find. We also couldn't get to the ski in on one of days as there was a competition on the slope we needed to go on to get back so it is helpful to plan ahead if you can't find it/if it is blocked for any reason. Creekside is a bit quieter than the village which was really nice for our group of late 20's who really just like to relax at the end of the day. There aren't enough towels for a group of 8 to use for hot tub and then a separate towel for shower. I recommend bring a beach towel with, as well as shampoo/conditioner as there wasn't much in the containers in the bathroom especially if you shower daily.-though they do state that on the welcome info. Would stay again!

Great Place with a Great Location!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here while attending the Squamish Music Festival and it couldn't have been a better location. We were not far off the main highway and only a 35 minute drive to the festival grounds.

The place was very clean and accommodating and had everything we needed. We loved the private hot tub on the back balcony.

David and Laura were amazing to deal with and always got back to us in a timely manner whenever we had any questions.

We will definitely try and return for a ski weekend in the winter.

Very clean, but showing it's wear and tear

  • 3 of 5

My family stayed here during the August long weekend. We were 6 adults, and had 2 extra guests one night.

Pros - very clean. Loved the extra amenities (coffee grinder, tupperware, travel soaps, etc). There were also two fans in the entrance closet.

- Close to Creekside, little grocery store, Dusty's Bar and Grill

Cons -

- 4 very steep floors (including walk up to the main door) If you have any mobility issues, do not stay here.

- The house is started to show age. The paint is starting to peel, screen door by bbq had a hole in it and did not open or close properly.

- No A/C - it was hot that weekend, but we made due. A/C would have been nice to have. There was a small bedroom fan and a large "industrial" fan in the entrance level closet. The industrial one is great, but it's loud, heavy and awkward. We did keep the windows, drapes shut, which helped keep the temperature down.

- Decor looks like it's from the 90's. Drapes, beds, etc.

- One bedroom has bunkbeds - getting up to it was very wobbly and not very secure. The adult who stayed in it was actually a 17 year teen, so not a large adult.

- The queen bed on the entrance level seemed to sink, or slant somehow. It wasn't very comfortable.

- Coffee machine really needs to be cleaned out well. Lots of grime in the water reserve.

Overall - It's clean and a decent place to stay and lay your head for the night. Showers were good, and the kitchen was great. The other reviewers are right, if you have more than 5 people in the living room, it's very crowded and there's no where to sit. It's just starting to show it's age and a paint job and some simple touch ups would help.

Owner's Response: Thank you for your review posting. We'll pass along your compliments to our cleaners; always happy to share with them what a good job they are doing. Regarding the items you've identified as 'Cons'; we would like to comment as follows: - You are correct - as advertised, this is a townhouse on 3 levels and there is a staircase up to the entrance. - You are correct - our place has been a very popular among guests and we could use some touch ups to the paint. I haven't noticed it peeling but there are places in high traffic areas where bags, coolers and sporting gear sometimes come in contact with corners and walls where we often do touch ups. - You are correct - we do not have air conditioning. During your summer stay, it was unseasonably hot and there were forest fires to the north and south which didn't help. I don't think many people have air conditioning in Whistler as it is typically not an issue. - I agree - The decor has a unique character, as illustrated in our numerous photos of the rooms. Many of our guest have commented that they find it cozy. - Thank you for identifying the wobbliness of the bunk bed. We will reinforce it. - All of the bed mattresses and box-springs have now been replaced. - The coffee machine is cleaned out regularly; we will request our cleaners to continue to pay close attention to the water reserve. We're happy you enjoyed your stay and thank you again for sharing your thoughts. All the best, David and Laura

Perfect Getaway

  • 5 of 5

The townhouse was very clean upon arrival, and we found that all the amenities and comforts of home are there. Lots of towels for showers and hot tubbing. BBQ'd for six, and ate at the large dining table, with room to spare. Both bathrooms are very good size.

2 minute drive to Lakeside Park at Alta Lake, which is a beautiful spot, highly reccommend visiting if weather permits.

We would also recommend brunch, or lunch at the Southside Diner. Excellent food, and great atmosphere.

If given the opportunity, would definitely stay here again.

Weekend getaway

  • 5 of 5

We recently stayed here for 3 nights, and it was perfect! It was off season, so Creekside and the Village were both a little quieter than peak season, which was great. The layout of the townhouse is ideal for many situations - we have an infant so it was nice having the different floors so we didn't have to be extremely quiet when the baby napped etc. But we had also considered coming up with friends, and having 3 bedrooms with lots of space and separation, it would have worked out well. The kitchen is stocked with things that you don't even expect that are a nice surprise - coffee grinder, crock pot, etc. And the hot tub on the balcony is private, and so nice to have outdoors! Great for relaxing, even for us non-skiers. We also made use of the BBQ, so nice to grill on the deck looking at the amazing views! Speaking of which, the view was beautiful to wake up to. The location is nice, as you are close to so much, but there is still lots of privacy. Highly recommend going to the Southside Diner for breakfast, the food is really good. We will definitely be coming back to Whistler, and hope to stay here again! Thanks!

Whistler Creekside is great in any season!

In the winter come visit and experience everything Whistler is famous for and more!

In the summer come relax at one of five very close lakes!

There is as little or as much as you could ever imagine for activities in and around Whistler no matter the season!
