We like to rent at different places every summer and this year decided on this beautiful Lake Michigan home. What can I say but by far our best rental to date! Love Lake MI....it's like being on the cape but with warmer waters and fresh water....no sharks! Sure is hard to decide what we liked best....from the roominess that accommodated all of our family members, the awesome million dollar view of Lake MI, beautiful flower garden, easy walk to the beach (awesome staircase BTW), beautiful sandy beach that even allowed us to have fun boogie boarding and lastly ending the evening with the beautiful sunset while staying warm by the fire and an added bonus seeing the Perseid Meteor shower! The area is nice because it's close to a lot of attractions....we went kayaking on the White River, ventured into Silver Lake and did some exploring, golfing at Benona Shores, antiquing and checked out the Fox Barn Winery. Although we like to explore all that Michigan has to offer in the summer, I'm sure that one day soon.......we'll be back to this beautiful Lake MI home.
This was our 2nd year renting this property and we will return again next year. We have rented several properties on Lake Michigan over the years and this one is one of the best. The house is in great shape and has everything you need for an enjoyable week. Like that beach chairs, linens and towels are included and that you have access to a washer and dryer. We stay with family members from age 14 to 80 and all enjoy the wonderful views, gorgeous beach and magnificent sunsets. We have an active family and there is plenty of room on the beach for horseshoes, bocce and kickball and playing corn hole in the driveway. Many great nights spent with bonfires in the fire pit on the deck. Like the privacy this property offers and other activities are available in Silver Lake and Pentwater within a reasonable drive.
This was our second summer staying at this beautiful summer home and plan on a third visit next year. We have a small family reunion each visit with family from the Midwest and there is ample room for all ages. There are so many comfortable and scenic areas to sit around the property with a million dollar view! The owner was always happy to help us in any way possible. Our favorite's to do each summer include golf at Benona Shores, float down Stony Creek, fish boil at Cherry Point, burgers at Brown Bear, and walks along Lake Michigan, with of course, the crowning jewel: evening sunsets beside our campfire!
My 2 sisters and I, and our families, have stayed here three different times - this is a dream come true! Enough room for everyone, extra room in the basement, great areas outside, both shady and sunny - beautiful views! The beach area is wonderful - lots of sand and plenty of open space. Enough room inside to let the younger kids go to bed upstairs, the adults visit on the main level, and the teenagers hang out in the basement. The deck has ample room for everyone, including tables and chairs, and surrounded by beautiful landscaping and fragrant flowers. Outside of the basement, there is an extra parking area, too! We have often booked a year in advance because we wouldn't want to miss this vacation opportunity.

Our family of 6 have spent some of our best time together at this awesome getaway right on Lake Michigan. If you are looking for a beautiful, spacious, well managed property with gorgeous views and a very private setting to just relax and get away, this is the spot for you.
Due to a wedding this summer, we had to give up our favorite week this year...but we're already booked for 2014!
