Very clean. Comfortable beds.

  • 4 of 5

Overall the rental was clean and comfortable. There was plenty of room for all 13 of us. Great location.

We were unimpressed with the flooring especially in the kitchen and on the stairs. The kitchen wood slats had several gaps that was covered with throw rugs and the stairs had raised screws that could easily trip or injure someone. Also the kitchen garbage can was incredibly small especially for our large group. It was the size of an office trash can. We ended up purchasing a larger trash can for the house.

Not Worth the Price

  • 1 of 5

I attended a retreat that was being held at the house. We rented the house because it had enough bedrooms to accommodate all of us and we could save money on hotel rentals. Upon arrival we were greeted by a very steep slick driveway (no gravel was put down), I am from Alaska so I understand it is going to be icy but to not even have gravel down for some traction is really unacceptable. The bedrooms down stairs were either freezing or too hot since the heating in the house was very temperamental. There were no extra blankets and the one on my bed had a huge hole in it. The downstairs bathroom had a tiny shower that you had to endure getting sprayed in the face with cold water to turn it on. There was no cable so you couldn't watch TV at night. The wifi wouldn't work when we all had our computers on during the retreat meetings. I have rented a lot of homes on VRBO for my personal vacations and for the price you are paying for this home it is simply not worth the price.

Great location in a quiet neighborhood. House is well maintained and very clean.

  • 4 of 5

We had 12 adults and 3 children for our stay and there was plenty of space and bedrooms for everyone. It was great to have a well supplied kitchen for all of our cooking needs. Would have been nice to maybe have had a few more dishwashing tablets as we had a lot of dishes to do with 12 adults for meals. We loved having our whole family together in one place!! We would definitely book this house again in the future.

It met our basic needs

  • 3 of 5

This home has a large number of beds, two bathrooms. We enjoyed the back porch and used the grills. We could seat 8 at the long dining table. It was located handy to many of the places we were doing errands at so that was helpful. Meaning not far from the Diamond Mall and Walmart and even Fred Meyers. It is really just adequate for the cost.

Big, comfortable, excellent kitchen

  • 5 of 5

This large split level is close to attractions in Anchorage, not the least of which is the excellent, paved, waking/running/hiking biking trail that so wonderfully winds throughout this lovely city. Out the front door, turn right and in one block, you're there. We made use of this multiple times, and also took the baby in her stroller.

The kitchen is outstanding; convenient, quite well stocked, with labeled shelves and cupboards. We are an extended family of 14, from 19 months old to 72 years. We used the generous deck and the large dining table. There was space for lounging teen-agers and others. Three bathrooms saw full use.

We used this as a convenient base to visit the Alaska Native Heritage Center, the Alaska Museum, and downtown for shopping.
