Great house! Great location!
A group of friends and I rented this house for a long weekend getaway. The house was exactly what we needed - great location right on the water, large deck with outdoor seating, and comfortable sleeping arrangements for 10 people. It's a quiet location with a beautiful private dock. We will definitely be looking to return next year.
The Perfect Get Away!!!
Upon a much needed getaway from a hectic week in the big city...this was the perfect answer!!! Even in the off season, I was able to enjoy a much needed relaxing weekend with my morning coffee on the beautiful deck overlooking the Lake. As geese flew over greeting me during the spectacular sunrise and hearing nothing else but the water splashing up on the shore...I knew "it doesn't get much better than this". The home was cozy, reserving was extremely easy, the owner was hospitable and very helpful with local recommendations from breakfast eateries, wine tasting locations, a wonderful casino close by, etc. I will definitely return for many stays!! This home is now in my book as one of my favorite get aways!
Best Value on the Lake
My family has rented this house for 5 years in a row and WE LOVE IT!!!. In a very quiet location, next to the local's park. Great sandy beach waterfront. The house is very very comfortable with a northwest feel. Huge deck and lots of room for people to sleep. Great access to the carribean blue waters of Lake Chelan. Note they no longer have internet, but it's a real vacation that way!
Had a great time house was great loved having park next door for kids will rent again.
My family and i had a great time staying in this cozy lakeside retreat. The house is perfect for a big group vacation with a gigantic deck facing the lake. Having the park next door is great for families with kids. The view from the house is phenomenal with large windows facing the lake. The sunrise and sunset views are amazing. Also lots of extra parking at the park next door. For a waterfront house on Chelan, you can't beat this deal! Similar houses rent for $3500 - $4000 a week! We will definitely be staying here again.
Was not as expected for the price that it cost
View and location was great. Condition of the building and grounds was deplorable, Windows unwashed and full of cobwebs. No soap, toilet paper, paper towels, and enough detergent for 1 load of wash, and enough dishwasher detergent for 1/2 load. Much unfinished "renovation work",No signage or lighting to mark location,Grounds were littered with debris and weeds, and the parking is very difficult, on a shared dirt driveway. The price was way too much for the unfinished and unkept condition experienced. All renovation work should be completed prior to renting. The lake was loaded with logs and debris & noisy. This place does have much potential, however it is far from being ready to rent out at a premium price.A very long and steep exterior steps makes it rather dangerous and uncomfortable to negotiate at night, going from the driveway ,down the dirt bank to the cabin, this should be lit with solar lighting, or some practical system, to facilitate nightime arrival and use. The overall stay was ok, but the above items should seriously be addressed, in order to warrant a pleasant overall experience for the renters. I would not revisit, without the above items corrected, or unless the price was dramatically reduced to reflect the current conditions. The owner was very nice and accommodating in the rental procedure, and even admitted to the "work in progress", but this was not what was expected, for the price that was charged.
